26:1  Ta.Sin.Mim.
26:2  Those are the signs of the clear Book.
26:3  Perhaps you will kill yourself that they will not be believers.
26:4  If We will, We send down to them a sign from the heaven, so their necks continue bowing to it.
26:5  And no new reminder comes to them from the Merciful except they used to turn away from it.
26:6  So certainly, they have denied, so soon the information of that which they used to mock at will come to them.
26:7  And did they not look at the earth, how many of every noble kind We made to grow in it?
26:8  Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:9  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:10  And when your Lord called Moses saying, 'Come to the wrongdoing people,
26:11  The people of Pharaoh, will they not fear?'
26:12  He said, 'My Lord! Indeed I, I fear that they will call me a liar;
26:13  And my breast straitens, and my tongue does not utter fluently; so send to Aaron,
26:14  And they have a sin against me, so I fear that they will kill me.'
26:15  He said, 'Not so, so go both of you with Our signs, Indeed, We are with you listening.
26:16  So come both of you to Pharaoh, then say, "Indeed, we are the messenger of the Lord of the worlds,
26:17  Saying, “”Send with us the children of Israel.”"'
26:18  He said, 'Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you tarried among us years of your life;
26:19  And you did your deed, the one which you did, and you are among the ungrateful.'
26:20  He said, 'I did it then, and I was of those who err.
26:21  Then I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord gave me judgment, and made me among the messengers;
26:22  And that is a favour which you bestow on me that you enslaved the children of Israel.'
26:23  Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of the worlds?'
26:24  He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between both of them, if you are sure.'
26:25  He said to those who were around him, 'Do you not hear?'
26:26  He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers, the former people.'
26:27  He said, 'Indeed, your messenger, the one who has been sent to you is surely mad.'
26:28  He said, 'Lord of the east and the west and what is between both of them, if you are intelligent.'
26:29  He said, 'Surely if you take a god other than me, I will surely, definitely make you among those who are imprisoned.'
26:30  He said, 'Even if I come to you with something clear?'
26:31  He said, 'Then come with it, if you are among the truthful.'
26:32  Then he threw down his staff, then behold, it was a clear snake.
26:33  And he drew out his hand, then behold, it was white to the beholders.
26:34  He said to the chiefs around him, 'Indeed, this is surely a knowing magician,
26:35  He desires to drive you out of your land with his magic, so what do you command?'
26:36  They said, 'Postpone him and his brother, and send gatherers in the cities.
26:37  They will come to you with every knowing magician.'
26:38  So the magicians were assembled to an appointed time, a known day,
26:39  And it was said to the people, 'Will you assemble?
26:40  Perhaps we may follow the magicians if they, they are the overcomers.’
26:41  Then when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, 'Is there indeed, surely a payment for us if we, we are the overcomers?'
26:42  He said, 'Yes, and indeed, you then surely will be among those who are brought near.'
26:43  Moses said to them, 'Throw down what you will throw.'
26:44  Then they threw down their ropes and their staves and they said, 'By the might of Pharaoh, indeed we, surely, we are the overcomers.'
26:45  Then Moses threw down his staff, then behold, it swallows what they falsify.
26:46  Then the magicians were thrown down prostrating.
26:47  They said, 'We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,
26:48  The Lord of Moses and Aaron.'
26:49  He said, 'You believed him before that I give permission to you. Indeed, he is surely your great one, the one who taught you the magic, so surely soon you will know. I will surely, definitely cut off your hands and your feet from opposite, and I will surely, definitely crucify you all together.'
26:50  They said, 'No harm; indeed, we are returning to our Lord.
26:51  Indeed, we hope that our Lord forgives us our sins that we are the first of the believers.'
26:52  And We inspired to Moses saying, 'Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be followed.'
26:53  Then Pharaoh sent gatherers in the cities,
26:54  'Indeed these are surely a little band, few,
26:55  And indeed, they are surely enraging us;
26:56  And indeed, we are surely altogether cautious.'
26:57  Then We drove them out of gardens and springs,
26:58  And treasures and a noble station;
26:59  Thus, and We made the children of Israel inherit them.
26:60  Then they followed them at sunrise.
26:61  Then when the two troops saw one another, the companions of Moses said, 'Indeed, we will surely be overtaken.'
26:62  He said, 'Not so; indeed, with me is my Lord, soon He will guide me.'
26:63  Then We inspired to Moses saying, 'Strike the sea with your staff.' Then it clove, then each part was like the great mountain.
26:64  And We brought the others near there.
26:65  And we saved Moses and those who were with him all together;
26:66  Then We drowned the others.
26:67  Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:68  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:69  And recite to them the news of Abraham;
26:70  When he said to his father and his people, 'What do you worship?'
26:71  They said, 'We worship idols, and we will continue to devote ourselves to them.'
26:72  He said, 'Do they hear you when you call?
26:73  Or profit you or harm?'
26:74  They said, 'Nay, we found our fathers thus doing.'
26:75  He said, 'So have you seen what you are worshipping,
26:76  You and your forefathers, the ancients?
26:77  So indeed, they are an enemy to me, except the Lord of the worlds,
26:78  The one who created me, then He guides me,
26:79  And the one who He, He feeds me and He gives me to drink,
26:80  And when I am sick, then He, He heals me,
26:81  And the one who will cause me to die, then He will give me life,
26:82  And the one who I hope that He forgives me my sin on the Day of Judgment.
26:83  My Lord! Give me judgment and join me with the righteous,
26:84  And make for me a tongue of truth among the later people,
26:85  And make me among the inheritors of the Garden of pleasure,
26:86  And forgive my father, indeed, he is among those who err,
26:87  And do not disgrace me on the day they will be raised,
26:88  On the day wealth will not profit nor sons,
26:89  Except one who came to God with a sound heart.'
26:90  And the Garden will be brought near to those who fear;
26:91  And the Hellfire is made manifest to those who err,
26:92  And it will be said to them, 'Where is what you used to worship
26:93  Besides God? Can they help you or help themselves?'
26:94  Then they will be overturned in it, they and those who err,
26:95  And the armies of Iblis all together.
26:96  They will say, while they are in it disputing,
26:97  'By God, indeed, we were surely in clear error
26:98  When we made you equal with the Lord of the worlds.
26:99  And none caused us to go astray except the sinners;
26:100  So there are no intercessors for us,
26:101  And no friend, close friend.
26:102  So if that there is a return for us, then we would be among the believers.'
26:103  Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:104  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:105  The people of Noah called the messengers liars,
26:106  When their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not fear?
26:107  Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you,
26:108  So fear God and obey me.
26:109  And I do not ask you for a payment for it. My payment is not except upon the Lord of the worlds.
26:110  So fear God and obey me.'
26:111  They said, 'Shall we believe you, when the most vile have followed you?'
26:112  He said, 'And what is my knowledge of what they used to do?
26:113  Their reckoning is not except upon my Lord, if only you perceive.
26:114  And I am not one who drives away the believers,
26:115  I am not except a clear warner.’
26:116  They said, 'Surely, if you do not desist, O Noah! Surely, you will definitely be among those who are stoned.'
26:117  He said, 'My Lord! Indeed my people called me a liar;
26:118  So judge between me and them, judging; and save me and those who are with me of the believers.'
26:119  Then We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship,
26:120  Then We drowned the remaining after.
26:121  Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:122  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:123  'Ad called the messengers liars;
26:124  When their brother Hud said to them, 'Will you not fear?
26:125  Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you;
26:126  So fear God and obey me.
26:127  I do not ask you for a payment for it. My payment is not except upon the Lord of the worlds.
26:128  Do you build a sign in every choice part to play,
26:129  And take large structures perhaps you may dwell forever?
26:130  And when you assault you assault as tyrants;
26:131  So fear God and obey me.
26:132  And fear the one who provided you with what you know,
26:133  He provided you with cattle and children,
26:134  And gardens and springs.
26:135  Indeed I, I fear for you the punishment of a great day.'
26:136  They said, 'Equal on us whether you admonished or you are not among those who admonish,
26:137  This is not except the fiction of the former people,
26:138  And we will not be punished.’
26:139  Then they called him a liar, then We destroyed them. Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:140  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:141  Thamud called the messengers liars;
26:142  When their brother Salih said to them, 'Will you not fear?
26:143  Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you;
26:144  So fear God and obey me.
26:145  And I do not ask you for a payment for it. My payment is not except upon the Lord of the worlds.
26:146  Will you be left secure in what is here,
26:147  In gardens and springs,
26:148  And corn-fields and palm trees, its spathes are slender?
26:149  And you hew out houses from the mountains skilfully.
26:150  So fear God and obey me;
26:151  And do not obey the command of the extravagant,
26:152  Those who work corruption in the earth and do not reform.'
26:153  They said, 'You are only among those who are bewitched,
26:154  You are not except a mortal like us; so come with a sign, if you are among the truthful.'
26:155  He said, 'This is a she-camel, for her a draught and for you a draught, on a known day;
26:156  And do not touch her with evil, then the punishment of a great day will seize you.'
26:157  Then they hamstrung her, then they became repentant.
26:158  Then the punishment seized them. Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:159  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:160  The people of Lot called the messengers liars.
26:161  When their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not fear?
26:162  Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you;
26:163  So fear God and obey me.
26:164  And I do not ask you for a payment for it. My payment is not except upon the Lord of the worlds.
26:165  Do you come to the males of the worlds?
26:166  And you leave what your Lord created for you of your wives? Nay, you are people transgressing.'
26:167  They said, 'Surely, if you do not desist, O Lot! Surely, you will definitely be among those who are driven out.'
26:168  He said, 'Indeed, I am, to your deed, among those who hate.
26:169  My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do.'
26:170  Then We saved him and his family all together,
26:171  Except an old woman among those who tarried.
26:172  Then We destroyed the others.
26:173  And We caused a rain to rain upon them, then evil was the rain of those who were warned.
26:174  Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:175  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:176  The fellows of the grove called the messengers liars.
26:177  When Shuayb said to them, 'Will you not fear?
26:178  Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you,
26:179  So fear God and obey me.
26:180  And I do not ask you for a payment for it. My payment is not except upon the Lord of the worlds.
26:181  Give the measure to the full, and do not be among those who cause loss;
26:182  And weigh with the straight balance,
26:183  And do not diminish the people their things; and do not do mischief in the earth, working corruption;
26:184  And fear the one who created you and the former nations.'
26:185  They said, 'You are only among those who are bewitched.
26:186  And you are not except a mortal like us; and indeed, we think you are surely among the liars;
26:187  Then make pieces of the sky fall on us, if you are among the truthful.'
26:188  He said, 'My Lord knows best what you do.'
26:189  Then they called him a liar, then the punishment of the day of the canopy seized them; indeed, it was a punishment of a great day.
26:190  Indeed, in that surely is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:191  And indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
26:192  And indeed, it is surely a revelation of the Lord of the worlds;
26:193  The trustworthy spirit brought it down
26:194  Upon your heart, that you may be among the warners;
26:195  In clear Arabic language.
26:196  And indeed, it is surely in the scriptures of the former people.
26:197  And is it not a sign for them that the knowing ones of the children of Israel know it?
26:198  And had We sent it down upon one of the foreigners,
26:199  Then he read it to them, they would not believe in it.
26:200  Thus, We inserted it in the hearts of the sinners,
26:201  They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.
26:202  Then it will come to them suddenly, while they do not perceive.
26:203  Then they will say, 'Shall we be given respite?'
26:204  So do they seek to hasten Our punishment?
26:205  So have you seen if We give them years of enjoyment,
26:206  Then what they were promised comes to them,
26:207  What enjoyment they were given will not avail them.
26:208  And We destroyed no town except it had warners,
26:209  A reminder, and We are not wrongdoers.
26:210  And the devils have not brought it down;
26:211  And it is not appropriate for them; and they are not able.
26:212  Indeed, they are surely far from the hearing.
26:213  So do not call on another god with God, then you will be among those who are punished;
26:214  And warn your kinsfolk, the nearer relatives.
26:215  And lower your wing to those who followed you among the believers;
26:216  Then if they rebel against you, then say, ' Indeed, I am clear of what you do,'
26:217  And rely on the Mighty, the Compassionate,
26:218  The one who sees you when you stand up,
26:219  And your going to and fro among those who prostrate.
26:220  Indeed He, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
26:221  Shall I inform you of those upon whom the devils descend?
26:222  They descend upon every sinful liar,
26:223  They offer the hearing; and most of them are liars.
26:224  And the poets, those who err follow them.
26:225  Did you not see that they wander in every valley?
26:226  And that they, they say what they do not do?
26:227  Except those who believed and did good works and remember God much and defend themselves after they have been wronged. And soon those who did wrong will know what return they will return.
