6:1  Praise be to God, the one who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darknesses and the light, then those who disbelieved equalize with their Lord.
6:2  He is the one who created you from clay, then He decreed a term, and a named term with Him, then you doubt.
6:3  And He is God in the heavens and in the earth. He knows your secret and your public, and He knows what you earn.
6:4  And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except they used to turn away from it.
6:5  So certainly, they called the truth a lie when it came to them, so soon the information of what they used to mock at will come to them.
6:6  Did they not see how many a generation We destroyed before them? We established for them in the earth what We did not establish for you. And We sent the sky upon them pouring abundantly. And We made the rivers flow beneath them. Then We destroyed them for their sins and We produced a generation after them, others.
6:7  And if We had sent down a book in paper to you, then they touched it with their hands, surely those who disbelieved would have said, 'This is not except clear magic.'
6:8  And they said, 'If only an angel has been sent down to him.' And if We had sent down an angel, surely, the affair would have been decided, then they would not be given respite.
6:9  And if We had made him an angel, surely, We would have made him a man, and surely, We would have confused for them what they confuse.
6:10  And surely, certainly messengers before you were mocked, then what they used to mock at surrounded those who ridiculed among them.
6:11  Say, 'Travel in the earth, then see how the end of those who say it is a lie was.'
6:12  Say, 'For who is what is in the heavens and the earth?' Say, 'For God.' He has prescribed mercy to Himself. Surely, He will definitely gather you together to the Day of Resurrection, there is no doubt concerning it. Those who have lost their souls, so they, they do not believe.
6:13  And for Him is what has dwelled in the night and the day; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
6:14  Say, 'Shall I take a patron other than God, the originator of the heavens and the earth, and He, He feeds and He is not fed?' Say, 'Indeed I, I have been commanded to be the first who has submitted and to definitely not be among the idolaters.'
6:15  Say, 'Indeed I, I fear, if I rebel against my Lord, the punishment of a great day.'
6:16  Whoever is turned away from it on that day, then certainly, He had compassion on him; and that is the clear success.
6:17  And if God touches you with harm, then there is none to remove it but He. And if He touches you with good, then He is powerful over everything.
6:18  And He is the Subduer over His servants; and He is the Wise, the Aware.
6:19  Say, 'What thing is greatest in testimony?' Say, 'God is a witness between me and you. And this, the Quran, has been inspired to me that I may warn you with it and whoever it reached. Do you indeed, surely bear witness that there are other gods with God?' Say, 'I do not bear witness.' Say, 'He is only one god, and indeed, I am clear of what you associate.'
6:20  Those whom We gave the book recognise it like they recognise their sons. Those who have lost their souls, so they, they do not believe.
6:21  And who is more unjust than one who forged a lie against God or called His signs lies? Indeed he, the wrongdoers do not prosper.
6:22  And on the day We gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated partners, 'Where are your partners, those who you used to claim?'
6:23  Then their trial will not except be to say, 'By God, our Lord, we were not idolaters.'
6:24  See how they lie against themselves, and what they used to forge will go astray from them.
6:25  And among them is one who listens to you, and We have placed coverings on their hearts lest they understand it, and in their ears, dulness; and if they see every sign, they would not believe in it, until when they come to you to argue with you, those who disbelieved say, 'This is not except the legends of the former people.'
6:26  And they forbid from it and they keep away from it; and they destroy not except their souls and they do not perceive.
6:27  And if you see when they are stationed by the fire, then they will say, 'O we wish we were sent back and we would not call the signs of our Lord lies and we would be among the believers.'
6:28  Nay, what they used to conceal before has become apparent to them. And if they are sent back, surely, they would return to what they were forbidden from, and indeed, they are surely liars.
6:29  And they said, 'It is not except our life of the world and we will not be raised.'
6:30  If you see when they are stationed by their Lord, He will say, 'Is this not the truth?' They will say, 'Yes, by our Lord.' He will say, 'So taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve.'
6:31  Certainly, those who called the meeting of God a lie have lost, until when the Hour comes to them suddenly, they will say, 'O our regret over what we neglected concerning it.' And they will bear their burdens on their backs. Lo, evil is what they will bear.
6:32  And the worldly life is not except play and diversion, and surely the home of the hereafter is better for those who fear. So will you not become intelligent?
6:33  Certainly, We know indeed it, surely it grieves you that which they say; so indeed they, they do not call you a liar, but the wrongdoers deny the signs of God.
6:34  And surely, certainly messengers before you were called liars, then they were patient over being called liars and being annoyed, until Our help came to them; and there is no changer for the words of God. And surely, certainly some of the information of the messengers have come to you.
6:35  And if their shunning is great on you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel in the earth or a ladder in the heaven, then bring them a sign. And if God had willed, surely, He would have gathered them together on the guidance, so definitely do not be among the ignorant.
6:36  Only those who hear will respond, and the dead, God will raise them, then to Him they will be returned.
6:37  And they said, 'If only a sign has been sent down to him from his Lord.' Say, 'Indeed, God is able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know.'
6:38  And there is not a creature in the earth nor a bird which flies with its two wings, except are nations, the similitudes of you; We have not neglected anything in the book, then to their Lord they will be gathered.
6:39  And those who called Our signs lies are deaf and dumb, in the darknesses. Whomever God wills, He causes him to go astray, and whomever He wills, He places him on a straight way.
6:40  Say, 'Have you seen you, if the punishment of God comes to you or the Hour comes to you, would you call on other than God, if you are truthful?'
6:41  Nay, Him you would call on, then He would remove what you call on Him to, if He wills, and you will forget what you associate.
6:42  And surely, certainly We sent to nations before you, then We seized them with misery and distress, perhaps they might humble themselves.
6:43  So if only when Our punishment came to them they humbled themselves, but their hearts became hard, and the devil beautified what they used to do to them.
6:44  Then when they forgot what they were reminded of, We opened the gates of everything for them, until when they were rejoicing in what they were given, We seized them suddenly, then behold, they were in despair.
6:45  Then the root of the people, those who did wrong was cut off; and praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds.
6:46  Say, 'Have you seen if God takes your hearing and your eyes, and sets a seal upon your hearts, who is a god other than God to bring it to you?' See how We turn about the signs, then they, they turn away.
6:47  Say, 'Have you seen you, if the punishment of God comes to you suddenly or openly, would be destroyed except the wrongdoing people?'
6:48  And We send not the messengers except as announcers of glad tidings and warners. So whoever believed and reformed, then no fear upon them and they, they will not grieve.
6:49  And those who called Our signs lies, the punishment will touch them because they used to disobey.
6:50  Say, 'I do not say to you, “With me are the treasures of God,” nor, “I know the unseen,” and I do not say to you, “Indeed, I am an angel,” I follow not except what is inspired to me.' Say, 'Is the blind and the seeing equal? So will you not think?’
6:51  And warn with it those who fear that they will be gathered to their Lord, there is no patron nor intercessor for them besides Him, perhaps they may fear.
6:52  And do not drive away those who call on their Lord in the early morning and the evening, desiring His face; not upon you is anything of their reckoning and not upon them is anything of your reckoning; so drive them away, then you would be among the wrongdoers.
6:53  And thus We have tried some of them with some, that they may say, 'Has God bestowed favour on these among us?' Does God not know best the thankful?
6:54  And when those who believe in Our signs come to you, then say, 'Peace be on you. Your Lord has prescribed mercy to Himself, that he who did evil in ignorance among you, then repented after it and reformed, then that He is forgiving, compassionate.'
6:55  And thus We explain the signs in detail and that the way of the sinners may be clear.
6:56  Say, 'Indeed I, I have been forbidden from serving those who you call on besides God.' Say, 'I do not follow your lusts, certainly I would have gone astray then, and I would not be among the guided.'
6:57  Say, 'Indeed, I am on a clear proof from my Lord and you have called it a lie. Not with me is what you seek to hasten of it, the judgment is not except for God. He narrates the truth; and He is the best of the deciders.'
6:58  Say, 'If that what you seek to hasten of it were with me, surely, the affair would have been decided between me and you.’ And God knows best the wrongdoers.
6:59  And with Him are the keys of the unseen, not except Him knows them. And He knows what is in the land and the sea; and no leaf falls except He knows it, nor a grain in the darknesses of the earth, nor moist, nor dry, except in a clear book.
6:60  And He is the one who causes you to die in the night and He knows what you committed in the day, then He raises you in it, that a named term may be completed, then to Him is your return, then He will inform you of what you used to do.
6:61  And He is the Subduer over His servants; and He sends guardians to you until when death comes to one of you, Our messengers cause him to die, and they neglect not.
6:62  Then they are sent back to God, their sovereign, the Truth. Lo, for Him is the judgment and He is the swiftest of the reckoners.
6:63  Say, 'Who saves you from the darknesses of the land and the sea?’ You call on Him humbly and secretly, ‘Surely, if He saves us from this, surely, we will definitely be among the thankful.’
6:64  Say, 'God saves you from it and from every trouble, then you, you associate partners.'
6:65  Say, 'He is the Powerful to send punishment to you from above you or from beneath your feet, or confuse you into sects and make some of you taste the injury of some.' See how We turn about the signs, perhaps they may understand.
6:66  And your people called it a lie, while it is the truth. Say, 'I am not a trustee over you.'
6:67  For every information a place of settledness, and soon you will know.
6:68  And when you see those who plunge into vain discourse about Our signs, then turn away from them until they plunge into vain discourse about a story other than it. And if the devil definitely makes you forget, then do not sit, after the remembrance, with the wrongdoing people.
6:69  And nothing of their reckoning is upon those who fear, but a reminder, perhaps they may fear.
6:70  And leave those who have taken their religion in play and diversion, and the worldly life has deceived them. And remind with it lest a soul is given in pledge for what it earned. There is no patron nor intercessor for it besides God. And if it compensates every compensation, it would not be taken from it. Those are the ones who were given in pledge for what they earned; for them is a drink of hot water and painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.
6:71  Say, 'Shall we call besides God on what does not profit us nor harm us, and be sent back on our heels after God has guided us? Like the one whom the devil has charmed in the earth, confused; he has companions who call him to guidance, "Come to us?"' Say, 'Indeed, the guidance of God, it is the guidance, and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.
6:72  And to be steadfast in the prayer and fear Him; and He is the one to whom you will be gathered.'
6:73  And He is the one who created the heavens and the earth with the truth; and on the day He says, 'Be,' then it is. His speech is the truth. And for Him is the kingdom on the day the horn will be blown in. The knower of the unseen and the seen; and He is the Wise, the Aware.
6:74  And when Abraham said to his father Azar, 'Do you take idols as gods? Indeed I, I see you and your people in clear error.'
6:75  And thus We showed Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and that he may be among those who are sure.
6:76  Then when the night fell on him he saw a star. He said, 'This is my Lord,' then when it set, he said, 'I do not love those that set.'
6:77  Then when he saw the moon rising he said, 'This is my Lord,' then when it set he said, 'Surely if my Lord does not guide me, I will surely, definitely be among the erring people.'
6:78  Then when he saw the sun rising he said, 'This is my Lord, this is greater,' then when it set he said, 'O my people! Indeed, I am clear of what you associate.
6:79  Indeed I, I have turned my face to the one who originated the heavens and the earth, upright, and I am not among the idolaters.'
6:80  And his people argued with him. He said, 'Do you argue with me concerning God? And certainly He has guided me. And I do not fear what you associate with Him, except that my Lord wills anything. My Lord has included everything in knowledge, so will you not remember?
6:81  And how should I fear what you have associated, while you do not fear that you have associated with God what He did not send down to you authority for? So which of the two parties is more worthy of safety, if you know?’
6:82  Those who believed and did not clothe their faith with wrongdoing, those, for them is safety and they are guided.
6:83  And that is Our argument, We gave it to Abraham against his people. We raise in degrees whom We will; indeed, your Lord is wise, knowing.
6:84  And We gave Isaac and Jacob to him, each We guided. And Noah We guided before. And among his offspring: David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. And thus We recompense the good-doers.
6:85  And Zachariah and John and Jesus and Elijah, all are among the righteous.
6:86  And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot, and all We gave preference to over the worlds;
6:87  And among their fathers and their offspring and their brothers; and We chose them and We guided them to a straight way.
6:88  That is the guidance of God; He guides with it whom He wills among His servants. And if they had associated partners, surely what they used to do would have been voided from them.
6:89  Those are the ones whom We gave the book and the judgment and the prophethood to; so if these disbelieve in it, then certainly, We have entrusted it to people who are not disbelievers in it.
6:90  Those are the ones whom God guided, so follow their guidance. Say, 'I do not ask you for a payment for it. It is not except a reminder to the worlds.'
6:91  And they measured not God truly His value when they said, 'God has not sent down anything to a mortal.' Say, 'Who sent down the book, the one which Moses brought, light and a guidance for mankind? You put it in sheets of paper, you disclose it and you conceal much, and you were taught what you did not know, you nor your forefathers.' Say, 'God,' Then leave them in their vain discourse, playing.
6:92  And this is a book, We sent it down, blessed, a verifier of that which is before it, and that you may warn the mother of the towns, and whoever is around it. And those who believe in the hereafter believe in it, and they, they guard over their prayer.
6:93  And who is more unjust than one who forged a lie against God or said, 'It has been inspired to me,' while nothing was inspired to him, and who said, 'Soon I will reveal the like of what God revealed.'? And if you see when the wrongdoers are in the floods of death and the angels stretch out their hands, 'Bring forth your souls. Today you will be recompensed with the punishment of abasement because you used to say other than the truth against God and you were proud towards His signs.'
6:94  And surely, certainly you have come to Us alone like We created you the first time, and you have left what We granted you behind your backs. And We do not see with you your intercessors, those who you claimed that they are partners concerning you. Surely, certainly it has been cut up between you and what you used to claim has gone astray from you.
6:95  Indeed, God is the cleaver of the grain and the date-seed. He brings forth the living from the dead and is the bringer-forth of the dead from the living. That is God, so how are you turned away?
6:96  The cleaver of the morning; and He made the night a means for rest, and the sun and the moon for calculation. That is the calculation of the Mighty, the Knowing.
6:97  And He is the one who made the stars for you, that you may be guided with them in the darknesses of the land and the sea. Certainly, We have explained the signs in detail for people who know.
6:98  And He is the one who produced you from one soul, then a place of settledness and a place of storage. Certainly, We have explained the signs in detail for people who understand.
6:99  And He is the one who sent down water from the heaven, then We brought forth with it plants of everything, then We brought forth from it green, We bring forth from it grain overlying one another; and from the palms, from its spathe near bunches of dates; and gardens of grapes and the olives and the pomegranates, similar to one another and not similar to one another. Look at its fruit when it bears fruit and its ripening. Indeed, in that surely are signs for people who believe.
6:100  And they make partners for God, the jinn, while He created them. And they ascribed to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Glory be to Him and exalted is He above what they describe.
6:101  The originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have a son, and He has no female companion, and He created everything, and He knows everything?
6:102  That is God, your Lord, there is no god but He, the creator of everything; so serve Him; and He is a trustee over everything.
6:103  The eyes cannot grasp Him, while He grasps the eyes; and He is the Subtle, the Aware.
6:104  Certainly, insights have come to you from your Lord, so whoever sees, then for his soul, and whoever is blind then against it; and I am not a guardian over you.
6:105  And thus We turn about the signs, and that they may say, 'You studied,' and that We may make it clear for people who know.
6:106  Follow what has been inspired to you from your Lord, there is no god but He, and turn away from the idolaters.
6:107  And if God had willed, they would not have associated partners. And We have not made you a guardian over them, and you are not a trustee over them.
6:108  And do not insult those who they call on besides God, then they will insult God in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have beautified for every nation their work, then to their Lord is their return, then He will inform them of what they used to do.
6:109  And they swore by God the utmost of their oaths, surely, if a sign comes to them, they would surely, definitely believe in it. Say, 'The signs are only with God.' And what will let you know that it, when it has come, they do not believe.
6:110  And We will turn over their hearts and their eyes like they did not believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their immoderation wandering about.
6:111  And if that We, We had sent down the angels to them, and the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered everything to them in front, they would not believe, except that God wills, but most of them are ignorant.
6:112  And thus We made for every prophet an enemy, devils of mankind and the jinn; some of them inspire to some the embellishment of speech, deception. And if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and what they forge.
6:113  And that the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter may incline to it, and that they may be pleased with it, and that they may earn what they are earning.
6:114  So shall I seek an arbitrator other than God? While He is the one who sent down to you the book explained in detail. And those whom We gave the book to know that it is sent down from your Lord with the truth, so definitely do not be among the doubters.
6:115  And the word of your Lord was completed in truth and equity; there is no changer for His words; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
6:116  And if you obey most of those who are in the earth, they will cause you to go astray from the way of God; they follow not except conjecture, and they, they not except lie.
6:117  Indeed, your Lord, He knows best who goes astray from His way, and He knows best the guided.
6:118  So eat of what the name of God has been mentioned upon, if you are believers in His signs.
6:119  And what ails you that you do not eat of what the name of God has been mentioned upon? And certainly, He has explained to you in detail what He has forbidden to you, except what you are forced to; and indeed, many surely cause to go astray by their lusts without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord, He knows best the transgressors.
6:120  And leave the apparent of sin and its hidden; indeed, those who earn sin, soon they will be recompensed for what they used to earn.
6:121  And do not eat of what the name of God was not mentioned upon, and indeed, it is surely disobedience. And indeed, the devils surely, inspire to their patrons to dispute with you, and if you obey them, indeed, you surely would be idolaters.
6:122  And is one who was dead, then We gave him life, and We made a light for him, he walks with it among mankind, like one whose similitude is in the darknesses, not coming forth from it? Thus what they used to do has been beautified for the disbelievers.
6:123  And thus We placed in every town the greatest of its sinners, that they may plot in it. And they plot not except for their souls and they do not perceive.
6:124  And when a sign comes to them they say, 'We will not believe until we are given the like of what the messengers of God were given.' God knows best where He places His message. Soon humiliation from God and severe punishment will befall those who sinned for what they used to plot.
6:125  So whoever God desires to guide him, He expands his breast to the submission; and whoever He desires to cause him to go astray, He makes his breast narrow, straitened, as if he were ascending into the heaven; thus God places the uncleanness on those who do not believe.
6:126  And this is the way of your Lord, straight. Certainly, We have explained the signs in detail for people who remember.
6:127  For them is the home of peace with their Lord, and He is their patron for what they used to do.
6:128  And on the day He gathers them all together, 'O assembly of the jinn! Certainly, you had many among mankind.' And their patrons among mankind will say, 'Our Lord! Some of us enjoyed with some, and we have reached our term, the one which you delayed for us.' He will say, 'The fire is your abode, to dwell forever in it,' except what God willed; indeed, your Lord is wise, knowing.
6:129  And thus We make some of the wrongdoers patrons of some for what they used to earn.
6:130  O assembly of the jinn and mankind! Did messengers from you not come to you narrating to you My signs and warning you of the meeting of this your day?’ They will say, 'We have borne witness against ourselves.' And the worldly life deceived them, and they bore witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.
6:131  That is that your Lord would not destroy the towns in injustice while their people are heedless.
6:132  And for all are degrees of what they did; and your Lord is not heedless of what they do.
6:133  And your Lord is the Rich, the possessor of mercy; if He wills He could remove you and appoint what He wills as successors after you like He produced you from the offspring of other people.
6:134  Indeed, what you are promised is surely coming, and you will not escape.
6:135  Say, 'O my people! Work according to your position, indeed, I am working; then soon you will know whose is the end of the home. Indeed he, the wrongdoers do not prosper.'
6:136  And they fixed a portion for God from what He dispersed of the tilth and the cattle, then they said, 'This is for God,' by their claim, 'And this is for our partners;' then what is for their partners, then it does not reach to God, while what is for God, then it, it reaches to their partners. Evil is what they judge.
6:137  And thus their partners have beautified for many of the idolaters the killing of their children, to cause them to perish, and to confuse for them their religion; and if God had willed they would not have done it, so leave them and what they forge.
6:138  And they said, 'These cattle and tilth are forbidden, not except whom we will can eat them,' by their claim. And cattle whose backs are forbidden, and cattle upon which they do not mention the name of God, forging against Him. Soon He will recompense them for what they used to forge.
6:139  And they said, 'What is in the wombs of these cattle is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our wives, and if it is dead, then they are partners in it.' Soon He will recompense them for their description; indeed, He is wise, knowing.
6:140  Certainly, those who killed their children in foolishness, without knowledge, and forbade what God provided them, forging against God, have lost; certainly, they have gone astray and they are not guided.
6:141  And He is the one who produced gardens, trellised and untrellised, and the palms and the corn, different its fruit, and the olives, and the pomegranates, similar to one another and not similar to one another. Eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and give its due on the day of its harvest, and do not be extravagant; indeed He, He does not love the extravagant.
6:142  And among the cattle carriers and furnishing. Eat of what God provided you, and do not follow the footsteps of the devil; indeed, he is a clear enemy to you.
6:143  Eight kinds, among the sheep two, and among the goats two; say, 'Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or what the wombs of the two females contained? Inform me with knowledge, if you are truthful.'
6:144  And among the camels two, and among the cows two; say, 'Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or what the wombs of the two females contained? Or were you witnesses when God instructed you with this? So who is more unjust than one who forged a lie against God, to cause mankind to go astray without knowledge? Indeed, God does not guide the wrongdoing people.'
6:145  Say, 'I do not find forbidden to an eater who eats it in what has been inspired to me except that it be dead, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine, so indeed, it is uncleanness, or disobedience offered to other than God; but then he who was forced, not seeking nor transgressing, then indeed, your Lord is forgiving, compassionate.'
6:146  And to those who became Jews We forbade every possessor of claws; and among the cows and the sheep, We forbade to them their fat, except what their backs carried or the entrails or what has mingled with bone. That We recompensed them for their insolence; and indeed, We surely are truthful.
6:147  So if they call you a liar, then say, 'Your Lord is a possessor of immense mercy, and His punishment will not be repelled from the sinful people.'
6:148  Soon those who associated partners will say, 'If God had willed, we would not have associated partners nor our forefathers, and we would not have forbidden anything.' Thus those who were before them denied until they tasted Our punishment. Say, 'Is there knowledge with you? Then bring it forth to us. You follow not except conjecture, and you, you not except lie.'
6:149  Say, 'So for God is the reaching argument; so if He had willed, surely, He would have guided you all together.'
6:150  Say, 'Bring your witnesses, those who bear witness that God forbade this.' Then if they bear witness, then do not bear witness with them, and do not follow the lusts of those who called Our signs lies, and those who do not believe in the hereafter, and they, they equalize with their Lord.
6:151  Say, 'Come, I will recite what your Lord has forbidden to you. That do not associate anything with Him; and with the two parents, goodness; and do not kill your children from poverty, We provide for you and them; and do not draw near the immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is hidden; and do not kill the soul which God has forbidden except with the right. That He has instructed you with it, perhaps you may become intelligent.
6:152  And do not draw near the wealth of the orphan, except for that which it is best, until he reaches his strength; and give the measure to the full and the weight with justice, We do not task a soul except its capacity; and when you speak, then be equitable, even if he is a relative; and the covenant of God fulfil. That He has instructed you with it, perhaps you may remember.
6:153  And that this is My straight way, so follow it, and do not follow the ways, then they will separate you from His way. That He has instructed you with it, perhaps you may fear.’
6:154  Then We gave Moses the book, complete for the one who did good, and a detailed explanation for everything and guidance and mercy, perhaps they may, in the meeting of their Lord, believe.
6:155  And this is a book, We sent it down, blessed, so follow it and fear, perhaps you may obtain mercy.
6:156  Lest you say, 'The book was only sent down to two parties before us, and indeed, we were surely heedless of their study.'
6:157  Or you say, 'If that the book was sent down to us, surely, we would have been better guided than them.' So certainly, a clear proof has come to you from your Lord, and guidance and mercy. So who is more unjust than one who called the signs of God lies and turned away from them? Soon We will recompense those who turn away from Our signs with the evil of punishment because they used to turn away.
6:158  Do they wait except for that the angels come to them or your Lord comes or some of the signs of your Lord come? On the day some of the signs of your Lord come, its faith will not profit a soul which did not believe before or earn good in its faith. Say, 'Wait, indeed, we are waiting.'
6:159  Indeed, those who divided their religion and became sects, you are not among them in anything; their affair is only to God, then He will inform them of what they used to do.
6:160  Whoever came with the good deed, then for him is ten similitudes of it; and whoever came with the evil deed, then he will not be recompensed except the like of it; and they, they will not be wronged.
6:161  Say, 'Indeed me, my Lord has guided me to a straight way, a right religion, the religion of Abraham, upright, and he was not among the idolaters.'
6:162  Say, 'Indeed, my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are for God, the Lord of the worlds.
6:163  He has no partner, and with that I have been commanded, and I am the first of the submitters.'
6:164  Say, 'Shall I seek a Lord other than God, while He is the Lord of everything?' And each soul earns not except against it, and no burdened one will bear the burden of another. So to your Lord is your return, then He will inform you of what you used to disagree about.
6:165  And He is the one who made you successors of the earth, and raised some of you degrees above some, to test you in what He gave you; indeed, your Lord is the swift in punishment, and indeed, He is surely forgiving, compassionate.
