10:1  Alif.Lam.Ra. Those are the signs of the wise book.
10:2  Is it wonderful to mankind that We have inspired to a man among them that, 'Warn mankind and give glad tidings to those who believed that for them is a foot of truth with their Lord'? The disbelievers said, 'Indeed, this is surely a clear magician.'
10:3  Indeed, your Lord is God, the one who created the heavens and the earth in six days; then He settled on the throne. He governs the affair. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is God, your Lord, so serve Him. So will you not remember?
10:4  To Him is your return all together. The promise of God is true. Indeed He, He originates the creation then He repeats it, that He may recompense those who believed and did the good works with justice; and those who disbelieved, for them is a drink of hot water and painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.
10:5  He is the one who made the sun a light and the moon a light, and He decreed phases for it that you may know the number of the years and the reckoning. God created that not except with the truth. He explains the signs in detail for people who know.
10:6  Indeed, in the difference of the night and the day and what God created in the heavens and the earth are surely signs to people who fear.
10:7  Indeed, those who do not hope for Our meeting and are pleased with the worldly life and are at ease with it and those who, they are heedless of Our signs,
10:8  Those, their refuge is the fire for what they used to earn.
10:9  Indeed, those who believed and did the good works their Lord guides them by their faith. The rivers will flow beneath them in the gardens of pleasure.
10:10  Their call in it is, 'Glory be to You, O God.' And their greeting in it is, 'Peace.' And the end of their call is that, 'Praise is for God, the Lord of the worlds.'
10:11  And if God hastens the evil for mankind as their desire to hasten the good, surely, their term would have been completed to them; then We leave those who do not hope for Our meeting in their immoderation wandering about.
10:12  And when the harm touches man, he calls Us to his side or sitting or standing; then when We remove his harm from him, he passes by as if he did not call on Us to harm which touched him. Thus beautified to the extravagant is what they used to do.
10:13  And surely, certainly, We destroyed the generations before you when they did wrong. And their messengers came to them with the clear proofs, and they were not to believe. Thus We recompense the sinful people.
10:14  Then We made you successors in the earth after them to see how you do.
10:15  And when Our signs are recited to them, clear proofs, those who do not hope for Our meeting say, 'Bring a Quran other than this or change it.' Say, 'It is not for me to change it towards my soul; I follow not except what has been inspired to me; indeed I, I fear if I rebel against my Lord, the punishment of a great day.'
10:16  Say, 'If God had willed, I would not have recited it to you and He would not have made it known to you. So certainly, I have tarried a lifetime among you before it. So will you not become intelligent?'
10:17  So who is more unjust than he who forged a lie against God or called His signs lies? Indeed, the sinners will not prosper.
10:18  And they serve besides God what does not harm them and does not profit them, and they say, 'These are our intercessors with God.' Say, 'Will you inform God of what He does not know in the heavens nor in the earth?’ Glory be to Him and exalted is He above what they associate.
10:19  And mankind was not except one nation, then they disagreed; and if not for a word which preceded from your Lord, surely it would have been decided between them concerning what they disagree about.
10:20  And they say, 'If only a sign has been sent down to him from his Lord.' So say, 'The unseen is only for God; so wait, indeed, I am with you among those who wait.'
10:21  And when We make man taste mercy after distress has touched them, behold, they have a plot concerning Our signs. Say, ‘God is more swift in plotting.' Indeed, Our messengers write what you plot.
10:22  He is the one who sets you in motion in the land and the sea, until when you are in the ships, and they sail with them with a good wind, and they rejoice in it. A violent wind comes to them, and the wave from every place comes to them, and they think that they, they have been encompassed. They call on God, sincere to Him in the religion, 'Surely, if you save us from this, surely we will definitely be among the thankful.'
10:23  Then when He saves them, behold, they are insolent in the earth without the right. O mankind! Your insolence is only against your souls; the enjoyment of the worldly life, then to Us is your return, then We will inform you of what you used to do.
10:24  The similitude of the worldly life is only like water, We sent it down from the heaven, then the plants of the earth, of what mankind and the cattle eat, mingled with it until when the earth takes its embellishment and is adorned and its people think that they have power over it, Our command comes to it by night or by day, then We make it mown down, as though it had not yesterday been rich. Thus We explain the signs in detail for people who think.
10:25  And God calls to the home of peace and He guides whom He wills to the straight way.
10:26  For those who do good is the best and an increase. And dust will not cover their faces nor humiliation. Those are the fellows of the garden, they will dwell forever in it.
10:27  And those who earned the evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed is like it, and humiliation will cover them. There is no protector for them from God. As if their faces have been covered with pieces of the night, darkness. Those are the fellows of the fire, they will dwell forever in it.
10:28  And on the day We gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated partners, 'Your place, you and your partners.' Then We will separate between them. And their partners will say, 'Not us you were serving.
10:29  So God has sufficed for a witness between us and you, indeed, we were surely heedless of your service.'
10:30  There every soul will test what it did previously; and they will be returned to God, their master, the Truth. And what they used to forge will go astray from them.
10:31  Say, 'Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls the hearing and the eyes? And who brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living? And who governs the affair?' Then soon they will say, 'God.' Then say, 'So will you not fear?'
10:32  So that is God, your Lord, the Truth. So what is after the truth except error? So how are you turned away?
10:33  Thus the word of your Lord is due against those who disobeyed that they will not believe.
10:34  Say, 'Is there among your partners one who originates the creation, then repeats it?' Say, 'God originates the creation, then He repeats it. So how are you turned away?’
10:35  Say, 'Is there among your partners one who guides to the truth?' Say, 'God guides to the truth. So is one who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or one who does not guide except he is guided? So what ails you? How do you judge?’
10:36  And most of them follow not except conjecture; indeed, conjecture does not avail against the truth anything; indeed, God knows what they do.
10:37  And this Quran is not to be forged besides God; but a verification of that which was before it, and a detailed explanation of the book, there is no doubt concerning it, from the Lord of the worlds.
10:38  Or they say, 'He has forged it.'? Say, 'Then bring a chapter like it, and call on whoever you are able besides God, if you are truthful.'
10:39  Nay, they called what they did not encompass knowledge of a lie. And its interpretation did not come to them. Thus denied those who were before them. So see how the end of the wrongdoers was.
10:40  And among them is one who believes in it; and among them is one who does not believe in it; and your Lord knows best the evil-doers.
10:41  And if they call you a liar, then say, 'For me my work and for you your work. You are clear of what I do and I am clear of what you do.'
10:42  And among them are those who listen to you. So can you make the deaf hear even though they are not intelligent?
10:43  And among them is one who looks at you. So can you guide the blind even though they do not see?
10:44  Indeed, God does not wrong mankind anything, but mankind wrong their souls.
10:45  And on the day He gathers them, as if they did not tarry except an hour of the day. They will recognise one another between them. Certainly, those who called the meeting of God a lie and were not guided will lose.
10:46  And either We definitely show you some of that which We promise them or We definitely cause you to die, So to Us is their return, then God is a witness over what they do.
10:47  And for every nation a messenger, then when their messenger comes, it will be decided between them with justice and they, they will not be wronged.
10:48  And they say, 'When is this promise, if you are truthful?'
10:49  Say, 'I do not control harm nor profit for my soul except what God willed. For every nation a term. When their term comes, then they cannot put back an hour nor can they precede.'
10:50  Say, 'Have you seen if His punishment comes to you by night or by day, what of it do the sinners seek to hasten?'
10:51  Then when it happens you believe in it? Now? And certainly you were seeking to hasten it.
10:52  Then it will be said to those who did wrong, 'Taste the punishment of eternity. Shall you be recompensed except for what you used to earn?'
10:53  And they ask you for information, 'Is it true?' Say, 'Yes, by my Lord. Indeed, it is surely true, and you will not escape.'
10:54  And if that for each soul that did wrong is what is in the earth, surely, it would ransom itself with it. And they will conceal repentance when they see the punishment. And it will be decided between them with justice. And they, they will not be wronged.
10:55  Lo, indeed, for God is what is in the heavens and the earth. Lo, indeed, the promise of God is true, but most of them do not know.
10:56  He, He gives life and He causes death, and to Him you will be returned.
10:57  O mankind! Certainly, an admonition has come to you from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.
10:58  Say, 'In the grace of God and in His mercy, so in that, then let them rejoice. It is better than what they collect.’
10:59  Say, 'Have you seen what God has sent down to you of provision, then you made some of it unlawful and lawful?' Say, 'Has God given permission to you or do you forge against God?'
10:60  And what will be the thought of those who forge the lie against God on the Day of Resurrection? Indeed, God is surely a possessor of grace for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks.
10:61  And you are not in a business, and you do not recite a reading from it, and you do not do a work, except We were witnesses over you when you poured forth in it; and an atom’s weight in the earth nor in the heaven does not escape your Lord nor smaller than that nor greater except in a clear book.
10:62  Lo, indeed, the patrons of God, there is no fear upon them and they, they will not grieve,
10:63  Those who believed and used to fear,
10:64  For them are the glad tidings in the worldly life and in the hereafter. There is no change to the words of God. That, it is the great success.
10:65  And do not let their speech grieve you. Indeed, the honour is altogether for God; He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
10:66  Lo, indeed, for God is whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth. And those who call on besides God do not follow partners. They follow not except conjecture, and they, they not except lie.
10:67  He is the one who made the night for you that you may rest in it, and the day to see; indeed, in that surely are signs for people who hear.
10:68  They said, 'God took a son.' Glory be to Him. He is the Rich. For Him is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. There is no authority for this with you. Do you say against God what you do not know?
10:69  Say, 'Indeed, those who forge the lie against God, they will not prosper.'
10:70  Enjoyment in the world, then to Us is their return, then We will make them taste the severe punishment because they used to disbelieve.
10:71  And recite to them the information of Noah, when he said to his people, 'O my people! If my position and my reminding of the signs of God is great on you, then on God I have relied. So put together your affair and your partners; then let not your affair be grief on you; then execute to me and do not give me respite.
10:72  So if you turn away, then I have not asked you for a payment. My payment is not except upon God and I have been commanded to be among the submitters.'
10:73  Then they called him a liar, then We saved him and those who were with him in the ship; and We made them successors; and We drowned those who called Our signs lies. So see how the end of those who were warned was.
10:74  Then We sent messengers after him to their people, then they came to them with the clear proofs; but then they were not to believe in what they called a lie before. Thus We set a seal upon the hearts of the transgressors.
10:75  Then We sent after them Moses and Aaron with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs; then they were proud and they were sinful people;
10:76  Then when the truth came to them from Us, they said, 'Indeed, this is surely clear magic.'
10:77  Moses said, 'Do you say to the truth when it comes to you? Is this magic? And the magicians will not prosper.'
10:78  They said, 'You came to us to turn us away from what we found our forefathers upon and that there may be greatness for both of you in the earth? And we will not believe you.'
10:79  And Pharaoh said, 'Bring me every knowing magician.'
10:80  Then when the magicians came, Moses said to them, 'Throw what you will throw.'
10:81  Then when they threw, Moses said, 'What you have brought is the magic. Indeed, God will soon make it vain; indeed, God does not fix the work of the evil-doers.
10:82  And God verifies the truth with His words, even though the sinners are averse.'
10:83  But then none believed Moses except offspring of his people for fear of Pharaoh and their chiefs, lest he tries them. And indeed, Pharaoh was surely high in the earth, and indeed, he was surely among the extravagant.
10:84  And Moses said, 'O my people! If you believe in God, then on Him rely, if you are submitters.'
10:85  Then they said, 'On God we have relied. Our Lord! Do not make us a trial for the wrongdoing people.
10:86  And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.'
10:87  And We inspired to Moses and his brother that, 'Settle houses for your people in Egypt; and make your houses a direction of prayer; and be steadfast in the prayer, and give glad tidings to the believers.'
10:88  And Moses said, 'Our Lord! Indeed You, You gave Pharaoh and his chiefs adornment and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord! That they may cause to go astray from Your way, our Lord! Efface their wealth and harden their hearts so they do not believe until they see the painful punishment.'
10:89  He said, 'Certainly, your call has been answered. So go straight, and definitely do not follow the way of those who do not know.'
10:90  And We brought the children of Israel across the sea, then Pharaoh and his armies followed them in insolence and enmity, until when the drowning overtakes him, he says, 'I have believed that He, there is no god except the one who the children of Israel have believed in; and I am among the submitters.'
10:91  Now? And certainly, you rebelled before and you were among the evil-doers;
10:92  So today We will save you in your body to be a sign to those who are behind you. And indeed, many among mankind are surely heedless of Our signs.
10:93  And surely, certainly We settled the children of Israel, a settlement of truth, and We provided them of the good things; then they disagreed not until the knowledge came to them. Indeed, your Lord will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they used to disagree about.
10:94  So if you are in doubt of what We have sent down to you, then ask those who read the book before you. Surely, certainly the truth from your Lord has come to you. So definitely do not be among the doubters.
10:95  And definitely do not be among those who called the signs of God lies, then you will be among the losers.
10:96  Indeed, those upon whom the word of your Lord is due will not believe,
10:97  Even if every sign comes to them, until they see the painful punishment.
10:98  So if only a town believed, then its faith profited it, except the people of Jonah. When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life and We made them enjoy until a time.
10:99  And if your Lord had willed, surely those who are in the earth would have believed, all of them, all together. So will you compel mankind until they become believers?
10:100  And it is not for a soul to believe except with the permission of God; and He puts uncleanness on those who are not intelligent.
10:101  Say, 'See what is in the heavens and the earth.' And the signs and the warners do not avail people who do not believe.
10:102  So do they wait except for the like of the days of those who passed away before them?' Say, 'Then wait. Indeed, I am with you among those who wait.'
10:103  Then We will save Our messengers and those who believed; thus saving the believers is due on Us.
10:104  Say, 'O mankind! If you are in doubt of my religion, then I do not serve those who you serve besides God, but I serve God, the one who causes you to die. And I have been commanded to be among the believers.
10:105  And that, “Set steadfast your face to the religion, upright, and definitely do not be among the idolaters.
10:106  And do not call besides God on what does not profit you and does not harm you. So if you do, then indeed, you then will be among the wrongdoers.”’
10:107  And if God touches you with harm, then there is none to remove it except Him; and if He desires good for you, then there is none to repel His grace; He hits with it whom He wills of His servants; and He is the Forgiving, the Compassionate.
10:108  Say, 'O mankind! Certainly, the truth has come to you from your Lord. So whoever is guided, then he is only guided for his soul; and whoever has gone astray, then he has only gone astray against it. And I am not a trustee over you.'
10:109  And follow what has been inspired to you; and be patient until God judges; and He is the best of the judges.
