41:1  Ha.Mim.
41:2  A revelation from the Merciful, the Compassionate;
41:3  A book whose signs are detailed; an Arabic Quran for a people who know;
41:4  A herald of glad tidings and a warning. But most of them turn aside and they do not hear,
41:5  And they say, 'Our hearts are veiled from what you call us to, and in our ears is dulness, and between us and you there is a veil; so act; Indeed we are acting.'
41:6  Say, 'I am only a mortal like you, I am inspired that your god is one god; So go straight to Him, and ask forgiveness of Him;' and woe to the idolaters,
41:7  Who give not alms, and in the hereafter they disbelieve.
41:8  Surely those who believe and do good works, for them is a reward unending.
41:9  Say, 'Do you indeed disbelieve in the one who created the earth in two days, and do you make peers for Him? That is the Lord of the worlds.'
41:10  And He placed thereon firm mountains above it and blessed it, and apportioned therein its foods in four days alike for those who ask.
41:11  Then He made for the heaven and it was smoke, and He said to it and to the earth, ' Come, you two, whether you will or no.' They said, 'We come willingly.'
41:12  And He decreed them seven heavens in two days, and inspired every heaven with its bidding: and We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and a guard; that is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.
41:13  But if they turn aside, then say, 'I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt of 'Ad and Thamud':
41:14  When the messengers came to them from before them and from behind them 'Serve none but God' They said, 'If our Lord willed, surely He would send down angels; so indeed, we in what you are sent with disbelieve.'
41:15  And as for 'Ad, they were big with pride in the land without right, and they said, 'Who is stronger than us in strength?' Did they not see that God, the one who created them He is stronger than them in strength? And they denied Our signs.
41:16  And We sent upon them an intensely cold wind in unfortunate days, that We might make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; - but surely the punishment of the hereafter is more disgraceful, and they shall not be helped.
41:17  And as for Thamud We guided them; but they preferred blindness to guidance, and the thunderbolt of the punishment of abasement caught them for what they used to earn;
41:18  But We saved those who believed and used to fear.
41:19  And the day the enemies of God shall be gathered together into the fire, marshalled along;
41:20  Until when they come to it, their hearing and their eyesight and their skins shall bear witness against them of what they used to do.
41:21  And they shall say to their skins, 'Why have you borne witness against us?' They shall say, 'God gave us speech who has given speech to everything; and He created you at first, and unto Him shall you be returned;
41:22  And you could not conceal yourselves that your hearing and your eyesight should not be witness against you, nor your skins; but you thought that God did not know much of what you do.
41:23  And that thought of yours which you thought concerning your Lord has destroyed you, and you have become of the losers.'
41:24  And if they are patient, still the fire is a lodging for them; and if they ask for favour again, they shall not be taken into favour.
41:25  And We appointed for them companions, then they beautified for them what was before them and what was behind them; and due against them was the sentence on the nations who passed away before them; both of jinns and of mankind; indeed, they were the losers.
41:26  And those who disbelieve say, 'Do not listen to this, the Quran, and make idle speech concerning it, perhaps you may gain the upper hand.'
41:27  But surely We will make those who disbelieve taste a severe punishment; and surely We will recompense them with the worst of that which they used to do.
41:28  That is the recompense of the enemies of God, - the fire. For them is an eternal abode therein a recompense for that they denied Our signs.
41:29  And those who disbelieved say, 'Our Lord, show us those who have led us astray amongst the jinns and mankind; We will place them beneath our feet, and they shall both be among the lowest.'
41:30  Indeed, those who say, 'Our Lord is God,' and then go straight, the angels descend upon them - 'Fear not and do not grieve, but receive the glad tidings of the Garden which you were promised;
41:31  We are your patrons in the worldly life and in the hereafter, and you shall have therein what your souls desire, and you shall have therein what you call for,
41:32  An entertainment from the Forgiving, the Compassionate.'
41:33  And who is better in speech than he who called to God and did good works, and said, 'Indeed, I am of those who submit.'?
41:34  And the good deed and the evil deed are not equal; repel with what is best, and behold the one whom between you and him was enmity shall be as if he were a warm patron.
41:35  But none shall receive it, except those who are patient; and none shall receive it except the possessor of great good fortune.
41:36  And if an incitement from the devil incites you, then seek refuge in God; indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
41:37  And of His signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun nor to the moon; but prostrate to God who created them, if it is Him you serve.
41:38  But if they are big with pride - yet those who are with your Lord glorify Him by night and day, and they do not tire.
41:39  And of His signs, that you may see the earth humble, and when We send water upon it it stirs and swells; indeed, He who has given it life is surely the giver of life to the dead; indeed, He is powerful over everything.
41:40  Indeed, those who deviate from Our signs are not hidden from Us. Is he who is cast into the fire better, or he who comes safe on the Day of Resurrection? Do what you will; indeed, He sees what you do.
41:41  Indeed, those who disbelieve in the reminder when it comes to them - and indeed, it is surely a mighty Book.
41:42  Falsehood shall not come to it, from before it, nor from behind it - a revelation from one wise, praiseworthy.
41:43  Nothing is said to you but what was said to the messengers before you, indeed, your Lord is surely the possessor of forgiveness and the possessor of painful punishment.
41:44  And had We made it a foreign Quran, they would have said, 'Unless its signs be detailed. Foreign and Arabic?' say, 'It is, for those who believe, a guidance and a healing. But those who do not believe, in their ears is dulness, and it is blindness to them; these are called to from a far place.'
41:45  And certainly, We gave Moses the Book, and it was disagreed about; but had it not been for your Lord's word already passed it would have been decided between them, and indeed they surely are in hesitating doubt of it.
41:46  Whoever does right then it is for his soul, and whoever does evil then it is against it, and your Lord is not unjust to His servants.
41:47  To Him is referred the knowledge of the Hour: and no fruits come forth from their calyxes, and no female conceives, or is delivered, except with His knowledge. And the day He shall call to them, 'Where are My partners?' They shall say, 'We confess unto you there is no witness amongst us.'
41:48  And that on which they used to call before shall stray away from them, and they shall think there is no escape for them.
41:49  Man does not tire of praying for the good, but if evil touches him, then he is hopeless, despairing.
41:50  But if We make him taste mercy from Us after distress has touched him he will surely, definitely say, 'This is for me, and I do not think the Hour is coming; and surely if I am brought back to my Lord, indeed, I shall surely have the best with Him.' And We will surely, definitely inform those who disbelieved of what they did and We will surely, definitely make them taste harsh punishment.
41:51  And when We have been gracious to man, he turns away and goes aside; but when evil touches him he is one of copious prayer.
41:52  Say, 'Have you seen if it is from God and you disbelieve in it, who is more in error than he who is in remote schism?'
41:53  We shall show them Our signs in the regions and in themselves, until it is clear to them that it is the truth. And does your Lord not suffice that He is witness over all things?
41:54  Lo, indeed, they are in doubt about the meeting of their Lord. Lo, indeed, He encompasses everything.
