41:1  Ha-Mim.
41:2  A revelation from (Allah), the Beneficent, the Merciful
41:3  a book with its Verses are explained; Qur’an in Arabic language for people who understand,
41:4  giving glad tidings and warning, but most of them turn away, so they don’t listen.
41:5  They say: “Our hearts are covered (screened) from that to which you invite us, there is deafness in our ears and there is a screen between us and you; so you work (your way) and surely we are working (our way).”
41:6  Say (O Muhammad): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your one worthy of worship is one Allah, therefore take Right Way to Him and seek forgiveness from Him. Woe to polytheists;
41:7  those who don’t give the obligatory charity and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter.
41:8  Surely, those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will have a reward without end.”
41:9  Say (O Muhammad): “Do you really disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in 2 days and do you set up rivals (in worship) with Him? That is the Lord of the worlds.
41:10  He has placed in it (the earth) firm mountains from above it, and He blessed in it, and measured in it its sustenance in 4 days equal for all those who (live in and) ask for it.
41:11  Then He rose over towards the heaven while it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth: ‘Come forward both of you willingly or unwillingly.’ They both said: ‘We shall come willingly.’
41:12  Then He completed and finished their creation of 7 heavens in 2 days and He made its laws in each heaven. We adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps (stars) and made it secure. Such is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knower.”
41:13  But if they turn away, then say (O Muhammad): “I have warned you of a destructive awful cry thunderbolt like that of Ad and Thamud (people).”
41:14  When the Messengers came to them from before them and behind them (saying): “Don’t worship but Allah,” They said: “If our Lord had so willed, He would surely have sent down the angels. So indeed! We disbelieve in what with which you have been sent.”
41:15  As for Ad, they were arrogant in the land without right and said: “Who is mightier than us in strength?” Don’t they see that Allah, Who created them, was mightier in strength than them? They used to deny Our Verses!
41:16  So We sent upon them furious wind in days of evil sign so that We might give them a taste of the disgracing punishment in this worldly life, but surely the punishment of the Hereafter will be more disgracing, and they will never be helped.
41:17  As for Thamud, We guided them but they preferred blindness to guidance, the destructive awful cry of disgracing punishment seized them because of their misdeeds,
41:18  but We saved those who believed and feared Allah.
41:19  (Remember) the Day that the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the fire, so they will be collected there,
41:20  till, when they will reach it (hellfire), their ears, their eyes, and their skins will testify against them as to what they used to do.
41:21  They will say to their skins: “Why do you testify against us?” They will say: “Allah has caused us to speak as He causes all things to speak. He has created you the first time, and to Him you are made to return.”
41:22  You used to hide (in the worldly life with your sins and never thought) your ears, your eyes, and your skins will testify against you. Rather you thought that even Allah does not know much of what you were doing.
41:23  That thought of yours which you thought about your Lord, has brought you to destruction, and you have become of those utterly lost!
41:24  Then, whether they have patience (or not), the fire will be a home for them, and if they beg to be excused, they are not those who will ever be excused.
41:25  We have assigned intimate companions (of like nature in the world) for them who have made their past and present seem fair to them. The word (of punishment) is justified against them which has passed away (generations) of jinns and men before them. Indeed they are losers.
41:26  Those who disbelieve say: “Don’t listen to this Qur’an and make noise in it (during recitation) so that you may gain the upper hand.”
41:27  But surely, We shall cause the disbelievers to taste a severe punishment and We shall requite them the worst of what they used to do.
41:28  Such is the recompense of the enemies of Allah: the fire will be their eternal home, a recompense for their denying Our revelations.
41:29  Those who disbelieve will say: “Our Lord! Show us those from jinns and men who led us astray, we shall crush them under our feet so that they become the lowest.”
41:30  Surely, those who say: “Our Lord is Allah,” then stick to the Right Way, the angels will descend (at death) on them (saying): “Don’t fear or grieve, and receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised!
41:31  We are your friend in the life of this world and in the Hereafter. You will find in it what your souls desire and you will find in it what you ask for:
41:32  a hospitable gift from (Allah), the Forgiving, Merciful.”
41:33  Who is better in speech than the one who invites (people) to Allah, does righteous deeds, and says: “I am one of the Muslims?”
41:34  The good deed and the evil deed are not equal. Repel (evil) with one which is better. Then surely, one with whom you had enmity, will become your close friend.
41:35  But none will be granted it (this quality) except those who are patient and none will be granted it except those who own the great portion of the happiness (with high moral character).
41:36  If an evil whisper from Satan comes to you (O Muhammad), seek refuge in Allah. Surely, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
41:37  From among His signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Don’t prostrate to the sun or the moon, but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if you really worship Him.
41:38  But if they are too proud (to do so), then those (angels) who are with your Lord, glorify Him night and day, and they never get tired.
41:39  Among His signs, you see the earth barren; but when We send down water (rain) to it, it stirs to life and growth (of vegetations). Surely, He Who gives it life, surely, will be Able give life to the dead (on the Day of Resurrection). Indeed! He has power over all things.
41:40  Surely, those who deviate concerning Our Verses are not hidden from Us. Is the one who is cast into the fire better or the one who emerges safe on the Day of Judgment? Do what you will. Surely! He is All-Seer of what you do.
41:41  Surely, those who disbelieve in the reminder (the Qur’an) when it comes to them (should know that) surely, it is an honorable respected book
41:42  No falsehood can come to it from before or from behind. It is sent down from the All-Wise, Praise-worthy (Allah).
41:43  Nothing is said to you (O Muhammad) except surely what was said to the Messengers before you. Surely, your Lord is indeed the Possessor of Forgiveness, and (at the same time) the Possessor of painful punishment.
41:44  If We had sent this Qur’an in a foreign language other than Arabic, they would have said: “Why its Verses are not explained in details (in our language)? What (a book if) not in Arabic and (the Messenger) an Arab?” Say: “It is for those who believe, a guide and a healing. As for those who disbelieve, there is deafness in their ears, and it (the Qur’an) is blindness for them. They are those who are (as if) called from a place far away (so they neither hear nor understand).
41:45  Indeed We gave Moses the Scripture, but dispute arose in it. Had it not been for the word that went forth from your Lord, the matter would have been settled between them. But truly, they are in suspicious doubt about it (the Qur’an).
41:46  Whoever does righteous deed, it is for his own self; and whoever does evil, it is against himself; and your Lord is not unjust to (His) servants.
41:47  To Him is referred the knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment). No fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive, nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. On the Day (of Judgment) when He will ask them (polytheists): “Where are My (so-called) partners?” They will say: “We confess to You that none of us bear witness to it!”
41:48  Those (deities) whom they used to invoke will vanish from them and they will realize that there is no place of refuge (to avoid punishment).
41:49  People (disbelievers) don’t get tired of asking good (things from Allah), but if an evil touches them, they give up all hope and are lost in despair.
41:50  Truly, if We favor one with the taste of Mercy from Us after some adversity (poverty or disease) has touched him, one is sure to say: “This is for me (I deserve); I don’t think the Hour will be established. Even if I am brought back to my Lord, surely, there will be the best (treatment) from Him for me.” Surely, We shall inform those who disbelieve with what they have done and We shall make them taste a severe punishment.
41:51  When We show favor to a person, he withdraws and turns away; but when evil touches the (same) person, then it has long supplications.
41:52  (O Muhammad) ask: “Tell me, if it (the Qur’an) is really from Allah and you disbelieve in it, who is more astray than you who has gone far away in opposition (from truth)?”
41:53  We will show them Our signs in the universe and in their own selves, until it becomes clear to them that this (the Qur’an) is the truth. Is it not sufficient that your Lord is a witness over all things?
41:54  Surely! They are in doubt concerning the meeting with their Lord (Day of Resurrection). Surely! It is He Who surrounds all things!
