45:1  Haa. Me’im!

45:2  The Revelation Knowledge of the Qur’ān is from Allâh, the Almighty, the All-Wise.

45:3  Surely there are Signs (of Allâh’s power & glory) in the heavens and earth for those who live a life of Genuine Faith.

45:4  And in your creation and what He scattered (through the earth) of moving creatures, there are Signs (of Allâh’s power & glory) for a people who have Absolute Faith (in Allâh).

45:5  In the difference of night and day: in the provision which Allâh sends down from the sky to revive the earth after its death: and in the changing of the winds: there are Signs (of Allâh’s power & glory) for a people who have a higher level of consciousness.

45:6  These are the Verses of Allâh, which We recite to you for a genuine reason. Then in what statement would they come to Faith after Allâh and His Revelations?

45:7  Woe betide every sinful liar,

45:8  Who hears the Verses of Allâh being recited to him, then he displays an arrogant attitude towards them as if he had not heard them. Now, therefore, break the news to him that a painful punishment awaits him.

45:9  And when he learns something from Our Verses, he makes a mockery of them. For such there will be a humiliating chastisement.

45:10  Gehenna is before them, and whatever they have earned will not avail them aught, nor those whom they have taken as guardians besides Allâh. And they will be subjected to a tremendous chastisement.

45:11  This (Qur’ān) is the True Source of spiritual enlightenment (for mankind). And those who persistently refuse to yield to what Allâh has revealed of the Knowledge of the Truth will be subjected to an extremely painful punishment.

45:12  It is Allâh Who made subservient to you the sea so that the ships may run thereon by His Command, and so that you may seek of His Bounty and show gratitude.

45:13  And He also made subservient to you whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth; all is from Him. Surely, in this, there are Signs (of Allâh’s power & glory) for a people who persist in meditation.

45:14  Now tell those who adhere to Faith to forgive those who have no hope in the days of Allâh so much so that He will recompense the people for what they used to earn.

45:15  Whoever strives to do righteous act, it is for his own benefit. And whoever strives to do evil, it is for his own loss. Then to your Lord, you are all destined to be brought back.

45:16  Verily We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture, the spirit of wisdom and the spiritual gift of prophecy. And We provided them with pure and wholesome things and preferred them over all the other peoples.

45:17  And We gave them clear illustrations of the commandment. And they did not differ, except after having received the Full Knowledge of Truth, out of jealousy (and animosity) among themselves. Most assuredly Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.

45:18  Then We set you, (O’ Muhammad), on a clear way of the commandment. Now, therefore, yield to it and neglect the whims of those who lack the knowledge (of Allâh).

45:19  Indeed, they can avail you naught against (the wrath of) Allâh. And lo! The workers of iniquity are allies of one another, whereas Allâh is a close ally of the Pious servants.

45:20  This (Qur’ān) is certainly spiritual insights for mankind: A True Source of Enlightenment and Mercy for a people who have Absolute Faith (in It).

45:21  Or do those who have perpetrated evil deeds think that We shall treat them as those who Live by Faith and strive to do righteous acts, equally in their life and in their death? How bad they judge!

45:22  And Allâh created the heavens and earth for a specific reason. It must be the case that every person will be duly recompensed for his deeds. They will not be wronged.

45:23  Have you seen the one who has taken his own whim as his god? So Allâh sends him astray purposely, seals up his hearing and his heart, and places on his insight a covering. Then who can lead him (to the Truth) after Allâh (has condemned him)? Will they, then, not take close heed?

45:24  They say: "We only live in this worldly life: We live and die. And nothing causes us to perish but a long course of time.” They have of that no knowledge. They are only guessing.

45:25  And when Our Verses are recited to them as conclusive evidence, their only argument is that they say: "Bring back our forefathers if you are truthful."

45:26  Say: "Allâh gives you life, then causes you to die, then will He bring you together to the Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt. But most of the people do not posses enough knowledge (about Allâh).

45:27  To Allâh belongs the (absolute) sovereignty of the heavens and earth. On the day when the Hour comes to pass, there will be a great loss to the those who used to promote falsehood.

45:28  You will behold each nation kneeling down. Each nation will be called to its record. They will be told: "Today, you are going to be requited for what you used to do."

45:29  This is Our Book, which speaks against you with truth. Surely We put everything that you used to do in writing!

45:30  And those who live by Faith and strive to do righteous acts, their Lord will admit them into His Mercy. This is ultimate success and the supreme one.

45:31  But those who persistently refuse to yield to the Truth, (will be asked): "Were not Our Verses recited to you? The fact is that you displayed an arrogant attitude and you were Ungodly Sinners?"

45:32  When it was said: "Surely the promise of Allâh is true, and the Hour is inevitable", you said: “We do not know what the Hour is. We think it is nothing more than a mere speculation. Therefore, we are by no means convinced.”

45:33  The evil of their deeds will clearly appear to them, and they will be encompassed by what they used to scoff.

45:34  It will be said: "Today We will forget you just as you forgot the meeting of this day of yours. Your abode is Hellfire and there is none to help you.

45:35  That is because you made what Allâh has revealed an object of ridicule, and you were deceived by this worldly life.” Therefore, on this day, they will not be taken out of Fire, nor will they be allowed to make amends.

45:36  All Praise is due to Allâh, the Lord of the heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of all the beings!

45:37  To Him belongs the Majesty in the heavens and earth, and He is the Almighty, the All- Wise.
