57:1  What is in the heavens and the earth glorified God, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
57:2  His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and He causes death, and He is powerful over everything.
57:3  He is the First and the Last and the Outward and the Inward; and He knows all things.
57:4  He is the one who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He made for the throne. He knows what enters into the earth and what comes forth from it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends into it. And He is with you wherever you are. And God sees what you do.
57:5  His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and unto God the affairs return.
57:6  He makes the night to enter into the day and He makes the day to enter into the night, and He is knower of what the breasts own.
57:7  Believe in God and His Messenger and spend of what He has made you successors in it. And those who believed among you and spent, for them is a great reward.
57:8  And what ails you, you believe not in God? And the messenger calls you to believe in your Lord, and already He has taken your covenant, if you are believers.
57:9  He is the one who sends down upon His servant clear signs, that He may bring you out of the darkness to the light. And indeed, God to you is surely pitying, compassionate.
57:10  What ails you, that you spend not in the way of God? And for God is the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. Not equal amongst you is he who spent before the victory and fought. Those are greater in rank than those who spent afterwards and fought. And all, God has promised the best. And God is aware of what you do.
57:11  Who is there who will lend a good loan to God? So He will double it for him, and for him is a generous reward.
57:12  The day you will see the believers, men and women, their light running before them and on their right, - 'Glad tidings for you today. - Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell in it forever. That, it is the great success.'
57:13  The day the hypocrites, men and women will say to those who believed, 'Wait for us, that we may kindle from your light.' It will be said, 'Return behind you and seek light.' And a wall will be set forth between them, having a gate; in its inner side is the mercy and towards its outer side is the punishment.
57:14  They shall cry out to them, 'Were we not with you?' They shall say, 'Yes indeed; but you led yourselves to temptation, and you waited, and you doubted, and the wishful thinking deceived you until the command of God came, And the deceiver deceived you about God.
57:15  Therefore today there shall not be taken from you a ransom, nor from those who disbelieved. Your home is the fire; it is your sovereign, and evil is the destination.'
57:16  Is it not time that the hearts of those who believed be humbled to the remembrance of God and the truth which He has sent down, and that they not be as those who were given the Book before, and over whom time was prolonged, then their hearts grew hard, and many of them were disobedient.
57:17  Know that God gives life to the earth after its death. Indeed We have made clear to you the signs perhaps you may understand.
57:18  Indeed, those who give charity, men and women, and who have lent to God a good loan, - it shall be doubled for them, and for them is a generous reward.
57:19  And those who believe in God and His messengers, those, they are the truthful, and the martyrs are with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, those are the companions of Hellfire.
57:20  Know that the worldly life is only play, and diversion, and adornment, and boasting between you, and competition about numbers in wealth and children. Like a similitude of rain, its plants pleased the sowers; then it withers, and you see it yellow; then it becomes grit. And in the hereafter is severe punishment, and forgiveness from God and pleasure. And the worldly life is not except the provision of deception.
57:21  Race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden, whose breadth is as the breadth of the sky and the earth, prepared for those who believe in God and His messengers. That is God's grace, He gives it to whom He wills, and God is the possessor of great grace.
57:22  No accident befalls in the earth or in yourselves, but it is in a book, before We bring it into existence. Indeed, that is easy for God.
57:23  That you may not grieve for what escapes you nor rejoice over what has come to you; God loves not every arrogant boaster.
57:24  Those who are stingy and bid the people to be stingy. And whoever turns away, then indeed, God, He is the rich, the praiseworthy.
57:25  Certainly, We sent Our messengers with the clear proofs; and We sent down with them the Book and the Balance that mankind may uphold justice; and We sent down iron in which is severe violence and advantages for mankind, and that God might know who helps Him, and His messengers in the unseen. Surely, God is strong, mighty.
57:26  And certainly, We sent Noah and Abraham; and placed in their offspring prophethood and the Book; and some of them are guided, and many of them are disobedient.
57:27  Then We followed up their footsteps with Our messengers; and We followed them up with Jesus, son of Mary; and We gave him the Gospel; and We placed in the hearts of those who followed him pity and mercy. But monasticism, they invented it - We did not prescribe it for them - except seeking the pleasure of God; and they observed it not its right observance. So We gave those of them who believed their reward; and many of them are disobedient.
57:28  O you who believe! Fear God and believe in His messenger, He will give you double portion of His mercy, and will make for you a light for you to walk in, and will forgive you; and God is forgiving, compassionate.
57:29  That the people of the Book may know that they have no power over anything of God's grace, and that grace is in the hand of God; He gives it unto whoever He will; and God is the possessor of great grace.
