88:1  Has a telling of the Overwhelming Event come to you?
88:2  [A countless many] faces that day will be downcast—
88:3  labored, wearied,
88:4  fueling a vehement fire
88:5  Slaked from a stagnant spring
88:6  They have no food except from Dhari'
88:7  It neither nourishes nor gives relief from hunger
88:8  [A countless many] faces on that day will be blissful—
88:9  for their [earthly] striving, content
88:10  in a high garden.
88:11  They do not hear therein any senseless talk.
88:12  In it are flowing springs
88:13  In it are exalted thrones
88:14  And goblets set in-place
88:15  And cushions arrayed
88:16  And carpets, endlessly spread
88:17  So then do they do not look at the camels— how they were created?
88:18  And at the sky, how it was raised aloft
88:19  And at the mountains, how they are stacked high
88:20  And at the land, how it was spread out?
88:21  So, keep reminding. You are one charged only to remind.
88:22  Not are you one to dictate over them
88:23  [Keep reminding], except one who turns away, and has disbelieved—
88:24  For Allah will punish him, with the direst punishment.
88:25  Verily, unto US is their return journey
88:26  Then indeed upon US is their reckoning.
