58:1  Indeed, Allâh has heard the words of the woman who argued with you concerning her husband and complained to Allâh. He was listening to the contentions of both of you. Most certainly Allâh is All-Hearing, All-Seer.
58:2  Those of you who deliberately seek to estrange their wives by declaring them to be as their mothers (should know) that their wives would never be their mothers. Their mothers are only those women who gave birth to them. The words they utter are evil words and falsehood. Most certainly Allâh is Oft- Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.
58:3  As for Those who deliberately seek to estrange their wives by declaring them to be as their mothers and then go back on that which they said, they should free a captive before they touch each other. That is what you are admonished thereby. And Allâh is All-Aware of whatever you do.
58:4  However, the one who cannot find (a slave to free) must fast for two consecutive months before they touch each other. In case he cannot fast, then he should feed sixty needy ones. This is the command of Allâh so that you may have perfect trust in Allâh and His Messenger. These are the limits set by Allâh. Those who are spiritually dead and blind will be subjected to a painful punishment.
58:5  Verily, those who oppose Allâh and His Messenger will be humiliated and perished, just as those before them. And We have certainly sent down Intelligible Verses. And those who are spiritually dead and blind will be subjected to a disgraceful chastisement.
58:6  And (mention) on the day when Allâh will resurrect them all, then inform them of what they used to do. Allâh has enumerated every deed, while they have forgotten it. Lo! Allâh is Witness over all things.
58:7  Have you not seen that Allâh knows whatsoever is in the heavens, and whatsoever is on the earth? There is no secret conversation of three but He is their fourth, nor of five but He is their sixth, nor of less than that or more but He is (always) with them wherever they might be. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of whatever they did. Most certainly Allâh is Fully Aware of all things.
58:8  Have you not seen those who were forbidden to devise evil schemes and afterward returned to that which they had been forbidden? They conspire to commit sins, transgression and disobeying the Messenger. When they come to you, they greet you with a greeting with which Allâh does not greet you, saying within themselves: ”Why should Allâh punish us for what we say?” Lo! Hellfire will be sufficient for them, where they will burn in it- Dreadful is the abode!
58:9  O’ you who Live by Faith! When you collaborate secretly, don’t collaborate for the purpose of committing sins or transgression or disobedience to the Messenger, but collaborate for righteousness and unfeigned piety, and act piously towards Allâh to Whom you are destined to be gathered.
58:10  Engaging in plots and intrigues is inspired by the devil in order to cause sorrow to the those who Live by Faith, but he cannot harm them at all, except with the permission of Allâh. Now, therefore, let those who live a life of Genuine Faith rely on Allâh with full trust.
58:11  O’ you who Live by Faith! If it happens that you were asked to make room in the assemblies, then you should do so. And Allâh will give you ample. And if it happens that you were asked to get up and move, then you should do so. And Allâh will exalt in degree those of you who Live by Faith and those who are given the spiritual gift of knowledge. And Allâh is Well-Aware of whatsoever you do.
58:12  O’ you who Live by Faith! When you seek to consult privately the Messenger, offer an alms before your consultation. That is better for you and purer. However, if it happens that you do not find anything to give, (then be sure that) Allâh is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
58:13  Were you afraid that offering alms before your consultation would make you poor? Even though you did not offer any alms, Allâh would forgive you for that. Thus, establish the regular Prayer, pay Zakāt and yield to (the Commandments of) Allâh and (to what He has revealed) to His Messenger. And Allâh is Well-Aware of what you do.
58:14  Have you not seen those who make allies of a people with whom the wrath of Allâh abides in them? They are neither of you nor of them. And they deliberately make a false oath.
58:15  Allâh has prepared for them a vehement chastisement. Dreadful indeed is that which they used to do.
58:16  They used their oaths as a cover to hinder people from the path of Allâh. For them, therefore, will be a disgraceful chastisement.
58:17  Neither their wealth nor their children will avail them aught against (the chastisement of) Allâh: they are the Denizens of the Fire, therein they shall abide.
58:18  On the day when Allâh will resurrect them all, then they will swear to Him as they swear to you: thinking that they have something to stand on. Surely they are the inventors of lying .
58:19  The devil has engrossed them and made them forget to celebrate the praise of Allâh and declare His glory. They are (the members) of devil’s party. Indeed, (the members of) the devil’s party are the ones who are doomed to eternal perdition.
58:20  Indeed, those who oppose Allâh and His Messenger will be among the most humiliated.
58:21  Allâh has decreed: "Most assuredly, it is I and My Messengers, who will be the triumphant." Indeed, Allâh is All-Strong, Almighty.
58:22  You will not find people who have affirmed their Faith in Allâh and in the Last Day demonstrating their own love for those who oppose Allâh and His Messenger, even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brethren or their clan. For these, He has firmly established Faith in their hearts, and has strengthened them with a Spirit from Himself. He will admit them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow wherein they will live forever. Allâh is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him. These are the (members of) Allâh’s party. Undoubtedly, (the members of) the Allâh’s party are the ones who will ultimately achieve a blissful life/ or gain eternal salvation.
