certainly you would have failed

liyaqḍiya
Allah
l-lahu
a matter

kāna
destined,
mafʿūlan
that (might be) destroyed
liyahlika
(those) who
man
(were to be) destroyed
halaka
on
ʿan
a clear evidence
bayyinatin
and (might) live
wayaḥyā
(those) who
man
(were to) live
ḥayya
on
ʿan
a clear evidence.
bayyinatin
And indeed,
wa-inna
Allah
l-laha
(is) All-Hearing,
lasamīʿun
All-Knowing.
