66:1  O you the prophet! Why do you make forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to you? You seek the pleasure of your spouses and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
66:2  Allah has indeed prescribed for you the revocation of your oaths and Allah is your master and He is The All-knowing, The All-wise.
66:3  And when the prophet spoke to one of his spouses in confidence a discourse, so that when she divulged it and Allah made him to discover it, he made part of it known and he overlooked other parts so when he informed her about it, she said, “Who informed you about this?” He said, “He informed me the One who is The All-knowing, The All-acquainted.”
66:4  If both of you turn to Allah in repentance indeed your hearts have inclined in goodness but if you should back one another against him, then truly Allah is his ally and [so are] Gabriel and the righteous believers, and the angels after all that will back him up.
66:5  Perhaps his Lord, if he should divorce you, would give him in replacement wives who are better than you who are submitters to Allah, who are believers, who are devout, who are repentant, who are serving, who are circumambulators, who are middle-aged and are virgins.
66:6  O you who believe! Protect your own souls and your families from a fire the fuel of which are the human beings and the stones. In charge of it are angels stout and formidable. They do not disobey Allah in that which He has commanded them and they do all what they are commanded.
66:7  “O you who disbelieve! Do not make excuses today. You are only rewarded for that which you used to do.”
66:8  O you who believe! Turn back to Allah in repentance with a thorough repentance perhaps your Lord may remove from you your inequities and make you enter into gardens beneath which the rivers flow, the day Allah will not cause the prophet and those who believe with him to be disgraced. Their light goes gracefully in front of them and by their right sides. They will say, “O Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us. Truly you have power over everything.”
66:9  O you the prophet! Do strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be firm towards them. For their abode is hellfire and what a woeful place of final coming.
66:10  Allah has set forth a parable for those who disbelieve.. in the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. Both of them were under two of Our righteous servants but they betrayed them so they could not benefit them in anything from Allah and they were told to enter into the fire with those who are entering.
66:11  And Allah has set forth a parable for those who believe.. in the wife of Pharaoh when she said, “O my Lord! Build for me a house in your presence in the garden and save me from Pharaoh and his work and save me from the people who do wrong to their own souls.”
66:12  And Mary, daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity; and then we blew into it from Our spirit and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and to His books and she was of those who were devout.
