66:1  O prophet! Why do you prohibit what God has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And God is forgiving, compassionate.
66:2  God has allowed you to expiate your oaths; and God is your sovereign, and He is the Knowing, the Wise.
66:3  And when the prophet told as a secret to one of his wives a statement, and when she gave information of it, and God exposed it to him, he made known some of it and avoided part. Then when he informed her of it, she said, 'Who told you this?' He said, 'The Knowing, the Aware informed me.'
66:4  'If you both turn repentant to God, - for certainly your hearts have inclined. But if you support one another against him, - then indeed, God, He is his sovereign, and Gabriel and the righteous of the believers, and the angels after that are his supporters.
66:5  It may be that his Lord if he divorces you will give him in exchange wives better than you, women who submit, believers, obedient, repentant, who worship, who fast - previously married and virgins.'
66:6  O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from the fire, whose fuel is men and stones; - over it are angels harsh, severe; they do not disobey God in what He commands them, but they do what they are commanded.
66:7  O you who disbelieve! Excuse not yourselves today; - you shall only be rewarded for what you used to do.
66:8  O you who believe! Turn repentant to God with sincere repentance; it may be that your Lord will cover for you your evil deeds and will bring you into gardens beneath which rivers flow. The day God will not disgrace the prophet and those who believed with him; their light shall run on before them, and on their right. They shall say, 'Our Lord! Perfect for us our light and forgive us; indeed, You are powerful over everything.'
66:9  O prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and hypocrites and be stern with them; and their abode is Hell, and evil is the destination.
66:10  God strikes a parable for those who disbelieve: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot; they were under two of Our righteous servants, but they betrayed them: and they availed them nothing against God; and it was said, 'Enter the fire with those who enter.'
66:11  And God strikes a parable for those who believe: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, 'My Lord, build for me a house with You in the Garden, and save me from Pharaoh and his works, and save me from the unjust people.'
66:12  And Mary, daughter of Imran, who guarded her private parts, and We breathed into her of Our spirit and she confirmed the words of her Lord and His Books, and she was of the obedient.
