the Shaitaan
l-shayṭānu
their deeds

and he said,

"No (one)

ghāliba
[to] you

l-yawma

the people
l-nāsi
and indeed, I am
wa-innī
a neighbor
jārun
for you."

came in sight
tarāati
the two forces
l-fi-atāni
he turned away
nakaṣa
on
ʿalā
his heels
ʿaqibayhi
and said,
waqāla
"Indeed, I am
innī
free
barīon
of you.
minkum
Indeed, I

see

(do) you see,
tarawna
indeed, I
innī
[I] fear
akhāfu
Allah.
l-laha
And Allah
wal-lahu
(is) severe
shadīdu
(in) the penalty."
