AYAH at-Taubah 9:18

Arabic إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ فَعَسَىٰ أُولَٰئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ zoom
Transliteration Innama yaAAmuru masajida Allahi man amana biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri waaqama alssalata waata alzzakata walam yakhsha illa Allaha faAAasa ola-ika an yakoonoo mina almuhtadeena zoom
Transliteration-2 innamā yaʿmuru masājida l-lahi man āmana bil-lahi wal-yawmi l-ākhiri wa-aqāma l-ṣalata waātā l-zakata walam yakhsha illā l-laha faʿasā ulāika an yakūnū mina l-muh'tadīna zoom

 Only will maintain (the) masajid of Allah (the one) who believes in Allah and the Day the Last, and establishes the prayer and gives the zakah and not fear except Allah. Then perhaps those, [that] they are of the guided ones. zoom


Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad Only he should visit or tend God's houses of worship who believes in God and the Last Day, and is constant in prayer, and spends in charity, and stands in awe of none but God: for [only such as] these may hope to be among the right-guided! zoom
