AYAH al-An`am 6:8

Arabic وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ zoom
Transliteration Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhi malakun walaw anzalna malakan laqudiya al-amru thumma la yuntharoona zoom
Transliteration-2 waqālū lawlā unzila ʿalayhi malakun walaw anzalnā malakan laquḍiya l-amru thumma lā yunẓarūna zoom

 And they said, "Why has not been sent down to him an Angel?" And if We (had) sent down an Angel, surely (would) have been decid the matter then no respite would have been grante zoom


Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad They are saying, too, "Why has not an angel (visibly] been sent down unto him?" But had we sent down an angel, all would indeed have been decided, and they would have been allowed no further respite [for repentance. zoom
M. M. Pickthall They say: Why hath not an angel been sent down unto him? If We sent down an angel, then the matter would be judged; no further time would be allowed them (for reflection). zoom
