AYAH az-Zumar 39:4

Arabic لَّوْ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا لَّاصْطَفَىٰ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ سُبْحَانَهُ هُوَ اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ zoom
Transliteration Law arada Allahu an yattakhitha waladan laistafa mimma yakhluqu ma yashao subhanahu huwa Allahu alwahidu alqahharu zoom
Transliteration-2 law arāda l-lahu an yattakhidha waladan la-iṣ'ṭafā mimmā yakhluqu mā yashāu sub'ḥānahu huwa l-lahu l-wāḥidu l-qahāru zoom

 If Allah (had) intended to take a son, surely, He (could) have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Glory be to Him! He (is) Allah the One, the Irresistible. zoom


Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad Had God willed to take Unto Himself a son, He could have chosen anyone that He wanted out of whatever He has created - [but] limitless is He in His glory! He is the One God, the One who holds absolute sway over all that exists! zoom
