General Root Meaning
To burn by pulling in the fire, scorch. To file a thing, to rub one part of a thing with another, to grind (the teeth), make a grating sound by grinding the teeth, eat to the uttermost, to be evil in disposition, make a mark or impression upon a thing with fire, burn a person or thing with fire, to burn a thing or person repeatedly or frequently, cause burning pain, to afflict/distress/annoy/molest/hurt a person or people, to blame or upbraid or reproach a person, detract from one's reputation, nip/shrink/shrivel/blast herbage (cold air or weather), destroy/perish a person or thing, to burn or become burnt.

8:50
And if you (could) see when take away souls (of) those who disbelieve the Angels, striking their faces and their backs "Taste (the) punishment (of) the Blazing Fire."

3:181
Certainly, heard Allah (the) saying (of) those who said, "Indeed Allah (is) poor while we (are) rich." We will record what they said and their killing the Prophets without (any) right, and We will say, "Taste (the) punishment (of) the Burning Fire."

22:9
Twisting his neck to mislead from (the) way (of) Allah. For him in the world (is) disgrace, and We will make him taste (on the) Day (of) Resurrection (the) punishment (of) the Burning Fire.

He said, "Then go. And indeed, for you in the life that you will say, "(Do) not touch." And indeed, for you (is) an appointment never you will fail to (keep) it. And look at your god that which you have remained to it devoted. Surely we will burn it then certainly we will scatter it in the sea (in) particles."
