| Arabic | | إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْعَامِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَارِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيم |  |

| and the needy | wal-masākīni | وَالْمَسَاكِينِ | س ك ن | |
| and those who collect | wal-ʿāmilīna | وَالْعَامِلِينَ | ع م ل | |

| and the ones inclined | wal-mu-alafati | وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ | ا ل ف | |
| their hearts, | qulūbuhum | قُلُوبُهُمْ | ق ل ب | |
| the (freeing of) the necks, | l-riqābi | الرِّقَابِ | ر ق ب | |
| and for those in debt | wal-ghārimīna | وَالْغَارِمِينَ | غ ر م | |
| (the) way | sabīli | سَبِيلِ | س ب ل | |
| (of) Allah, | l-lahi | اللَّهِ | ا ل ه | |
| and the | wa-ib'ni | وَابْنِ | ب ن و | |
| wayfarer - | l-sabīli | السَّبِيلِ | س ب ل | |
| an obligation | farīḍatan | فَرِيضَةً | ف ر ض | |
| And Allah | wal-lahu | وَاللَّهُ | ا ل ه | |
| (is) All-Knowing, | ʿalīmun | عَلِيمٌ | ع ل م | |
| All-Wise. | ḥakīmun | حَكِيمٌ | ح ك م | |
