Arabic يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا آبَاءَكُمْ وَإِخْوَانَكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ إِنِ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُون zoom
Transliteration Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tattakhithoo abaakum wa-ikhwanakum awliyaa ini istahabboo alkufra AAala al-eemani waman yatawallahum minkum faola-ika humu alththalimoona zoom
Transliteration-2 yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū lā tattakhidhū ābāakum wa-ikh'wānakum awliyāa ini is'taḥabbū l-kuf'ra ʿalā l-īmāni waman yatawallahum minkum fa-ulāika humu l-ẓālimūn zoom

Muhammad Asad O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not take your fathers and your brothers for allies if a denial of the truth is dearer to them than faith: for those of you who ally themselves with them-it is they, they who are evildoers zoom
