26:1  Ta, Sin, Mim.
26:2  These are the signs of the clear book.
26:3  You almost kill yourself with worry that they are not believers.
26:4  If We please, We would send a sign from the sky down to them and their necks would remain humbled by it.
26:5  And whenever a new reminder comes to them from the Merciful, they tend to turn away from it.
26:6  So they denied, then the news of what they used to make fun of will reach them.
26:7  Do they not look at the earth, how many a precious species We grew on it.
26:8  For in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:9  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:10  And when your Lord called Musa (Moses) to go to the wrongdoing people.
26:11  The people of Pharaoh, as to why they do not beware (of Allah).
26:12  He said: my Lord, I fear that they deny me.
26:13  And my chest tightens and my tongue does not loosen, so send for Harun (Aaron).
26:14  And they hold a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me.
26:15  He said: no way, go both with My signs, We are with you listening.
26:16  So they both came to Pharaoh and said: we are a messenger from the Lord of all worlds.
26:17  That you should send with us the Children of Israel.
26:18  He said: did we not look after you amongst us as a child and you stayed amongst us some years of your life?
26:19  And you did the deed you did and were of the ungrateful.
26:20  He said: I did it when I was astray.
26:21  Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord granted me the ability to judge and made me of the messengers.
26:22  And is this the favour you hold against me, that you enslaved the Children of Israel?
26:23  Pharaoh said: and who is the Lord of all worlds?
26:24  He said: the Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you are certain.
26:25  He said to those around him: are you not listening?
26:26  He said: your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers.
26:27  He said: your messenger who has been sent to you is possessed.
26:28  He said: the Lord of the East and the West and what is between them, if you understand.
26:29  He said: if you take a god other than me, I will certainly imprison you.
26:30  He said: even if I bring you something clear?
26:31  He said: then bring it if you are truthful.
26:32  So he threw down his staff and it became a real snake.
26:33  And he pulled out his hand and it could be seen as white.
26:34  The leaders around him said: this is a knowledgeable magician.
26:35  He wants to expel you from your land with his magic, so what do you command?
26:36  They said: defer him and his brother and dispatch mobilisers to the cities,
26:37  To bring you every knowledgeable magician.
26:38  Then the magicians were gathered for an appointment on a specified day.
26:39  And the people were told: are you going to gather?
26:40  So we can follow the magicians if they are the winners?
26:41  And when the magicians came they said to Pharaoh: will we have a reward if we are the winners?
26:42  He said: yes, and you will then be of the inner circle.
26:43  Musa (Moses) said to them: throw what you can throw.
26:44  So they threw their ropes and sticks and said: by the might of Pharaoh, we will be the winners.
26:45  Then Musa (Moses) threw his stick, then it took over what they invented.
26:46  Then the magicians fell prostrate.
26:47  They said: we believe in the Lord of all worlds.
26:48  The Lord of Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron).
26:49  He said: do you believe in him before I have given you permission? For sure he is your chief who taught you magic, so soon you will know: I will cut your hands and feet from opposite sides and will crucify you all.
26:50  They said: no harm, we will turn to our Lord.
26:51  For we hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we are the first amongst the believers.
26:52  And We revealed to Musa (Moses) to travel with My servants, for you will be followed.
26:53  Then Pharaoh sent mobilisers to the cities.
26:54  These are a small group.
26:55  And they have angered us.
26:56  And we are force to be reckoned with.
26:57  So We drove them out of gardens and springs.
26:58  And treasures and honoured dwellings.
26:59  This is what happened, and We made the Children of Israel inherit them.
26:60  So they pursued them in the morning.
26:61  And when the two groups faced each other the companions of Musa (Moses) said, we have been overtaken.
26:62  He said: no way, for my Lord is with me, He will guide me.
26:63  Then We revealed to Musa (Moses) to strike the sea with your stick, then it parted and each part was like a great mountain.
26:64  Then We made the others advance after that.
26:65  And We rescued Musa (Moses) and all who were with him.
26:66  Then We drowned the others.
26:67  For in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:68  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:69  And recite to them the news about Ibrahim (Abraham).
26:70  When he said to his father and his people: what do you serve?
26:71  They said: we serve idols and remain devoted to them.
26:72  He said: do they hear you when you call?
26:73  Or benefit you or do harm?
26:74  They said: but we found our fathers do the same.
26:75  He said: then look at what you serve;
26:76  You and your forefathers:
26:77  They are an enemy to me, except for the Lord of all worlds.
26:78  The One who created me then guided me.
26:79  And the One who feeds me and gives me to drink.
26:80  And if I am ill, He heals me.
26:81  And the One who makes me die, then brings me to life.
26:82  And the One of whom I hope that He forgives me my sins on the day of repayment.
26:83  My Lord, grant me the ability to judge and make me join the righteous.
26:84  And give me a truthful reputation amongst those to come.
26:85  And make me of those who inherit the garden of blessings.
26:86  And forgive my father, for he was of those astray.
26:87  And do not humiliate me on the day they will be raised.
26:88  On the day when neither wealth nor children are of benefit.
26:89  Except for him who comes to Allah with a clean heart.
26:90  And the garden will be brought near to those who beware (of Allah).
26:91  And hell-fire will be presented to the transgressors.
26:92  And they will be told: where is what you used to serve?
26:93  Besides Allah, are they going to help you or help themselves?
26:94  So they and the transgressors will be dumped into it.
26:95  And all the soldiers of Iblis (the devil).
26:96  They will say, whilst they argue there:
26:97  By Allah, we were in clear error.
26:98  When we equated you with the Lord of all worlds.
26:99  And only the sinful lead us astray.
26:100  So we have no intercessors.
26:101  And no dear friend.
26:102  If only we could return and be of the believers.
26:103  For in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:104  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:105  The people of Nuh (Noah) denied the messengers.
26:106  When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: will you not beware (of Allah)?
26:107  For I am a reliable messenger to you.
26:108  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:109  And I do not ask you for a reward for it, for my reward is only with the Lord of all worlds.
26:110  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:111  They said: should we believe in you when the down and out follow you?
26:112  He said: I have no knowledge of what they used to do.
26:113  For their reckoning is upon my Lord, if only you realised.
26:114  And I am not going to drive away the believers.
26:115  For I am only a clear warner.
26:116  They said: if you do not stop, oh Nuh (Noah), you will be stoned.
26:117  He said: my Lord, my people deny me.
26:118  So decide clearly between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me.
26:119  So We rescued him and those with him in the loaded ship.
26:120  Then We drowned the remainder.
26:121  For in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:122  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:123  ´Ad denied the messengers.
26:124  When their brother Hud said to them: will you not beware (of Allah)?
26:125  For I am a reliable messenger to you.
26:126  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:127  And I do not ask you for a reward for it, for my reward is only with the Lord of all worlds.
26:128  Do you pointlessly construct a marker on every elevated place?
26:129  And adopt fortified buildings as if you lived forever?
26:130  And when you strike out you strike out as tyrants?
26:131  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:132  And beware of the One who furnished you with what you know.
26:133  Furnished you with cattle and children.
26:134  And gardens and springs.
26:135  For I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.
26:136  They said: It is the same for us whether you caution us or do not caution us.
26:137  For there is only the first creation.
26:138  And we will not be resurrected.
26:139  So they denied him and We destroyed them, for in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:140  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:141  Thamud denied the messengers.
26:142  When their brother Salih said to them: will you not beware (of Allah)?
26:143  For I am a reliable messenger to you.
26:144  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:145  And I do not ask you for a reward for it, for my reward is only with the Lord of all worlds.
26:146  Are you going to be left safe here?
26:147  In gardens and springs?
26:148  And plantations and palm trees with packed date clusters?
26:149  And you carve out strong homes from the mountains?
26:150  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:151  And do not obey the command of the wasteful.
26:152  Those who cause corruption on earth and do not reform.
26:153  They said: you are deranged.
26:154  You are only a human like us, so bring a sign if you are truthful.
26:155  He said: this is a she-camel, she will drink and you will drink on a known day.
26:156  And do not touch her with harm so that the punishment of a tremendous day overtakes you.
26:157  So they bled her to death, then came to regret.
26:158  Then the punishment overtook them, for in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:159  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:160  The people of Lut (Lot) denied the messengers.
26:161  When their brother Lut (Lot) said to them: will you not beware (of Allah)?
26:162  For I am a reliable messenger to you.
26:163  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:164  And I do not ask you for a reward for it, for my reward is only with the Lord of all worlds.
26:165  Do you go for males amongst everyone?
26:166  And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? But you are outrageous people.
26:167  They said: if you do not stop, oh Lut (Lot), you will be expelled.
26:168  He said: I am only describing your deeds.
26:169  My Lord, rescue me and my family from what they do.
26:170  So We rescued him and his family altogether.
26:171  Except an old woman who stayed behind.
26:172  Then We destroyed the others.
26:173  And We let it rain on them, and it was an evil rain for those who had been warned.
26:174  For in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:175  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:176  And the inhabitants of the woodlands (al-Ayka) denied the messengers.
26:177  When Shu´ayb (Jethro) said to them: will you not beware (of Allah)?
26:178  For I am a reliable messenger to you.
26:179  So beware of Allah and obey me.
26:180  And I do not ask you for a reward for it, for my reward is only with the Lord of all worlds.
26:181  Give full measure and do not reduce it.
26:182  And weigh with a level scale.
26:183  And do not withhold from people their belongings and do not spread corruption on earth.
26:184  And beware of the One who created you and the earlier creation.
26:185  They said: you are deranged.
26:186  And you are only a human like us, and we consider you a liar.
26:187  So drop on us a piece of the sky if you are truthful.
26:188  He said: my Lord knows best what you do.
26:189  So they denied him, then the punishment of the day of obscuration overtook them, and it was the punishment of a tremendous day.
26:190  For in that is a sign, and most of them are not believers.
26:191  And your Lord is the mighty and merciful.
26:192  And it is a revelation from the Lord of all worlds
26:193  He sent with it the trusted Spirit.
26:194  Unto your heart, so that you would be of the warners.
26:195  In a clear Arabic language.
26:196  And it is in the earlier scriptures.
26:197  Is it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel know it?
26:198  And had We revealed it to some foreigners,
26:199  Then he would have read it to them, they would not have believed in it.
26:200  This is how We let it pass through the hearts of the sinful.
26:201  They do not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.
26:202  And it reaches them suddenly when they are not aware.
26:203  Then they will say: will we be given time?
26:204  Do they hasten Our punishment?
26:205  Have you considered that if We give them provision for some years,
26:206  Then what they were promised reaches them,
26:207  The provision they were given will not benefit them?
26:208  And We never destroyed a town unless there was a warner for it.
26:209  A reminder, and We were not oppressors.
26:210  And the devils do not descend with it.
26:211  And it is not befitting for them, and they are unable to.
26:212  For they are cut off from listening.
26:213  So do not call on any other god with Allah, then you would be of those to be punished.
26:214  And warn your immediate relatives.
26:215  And give comfort to the believers who follow you.
26:216  And if they disobey you, then say: I am free of what you do.
26:217  And rely on the mighty and merciful.
26:218  Who sees you when you stand up.
26:219  And when you bend amongst the prostrate.
26:220  For He listens and knows.
26:221  Shall I inform you on whom the devils descend?
26:222  They descend on every sinful liar.
26:223  They listen out, but most of them are liars.
26:224  And the poets, the misguided follow them.
26:225  Do you not see that they wander about in every valley,
26:226  And that they say what they don´t do.
26:227  Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah a lot and defend themselves after having been wronged, and the wrongdoers will soon know which way they will turn.
