Isn’t this all just common sense, as common as the sense of taste? Do you think the elderly have a corner on wisdom, that you have to grow old before you understand life?
Isn’t it true that wisdom is found among the aged and understanding among those who have had a long life?

Old people have wisdom, but God has wisdom and power. Old people have insight; God has insight and power to act.
Wisdom is in eld men, and prudence is in much time.
