11:1  Alif.Lam.Ra. A book, its signs are made firm then explained in detail, from one wise, aware.
11:2  That, ‘Do not serve except God, indeed, I am a warner and an announcer of glad tidings from Him to you.’
11:3  And that, ‘Seek your Lord’s forgiveness, then repent to Him. He will provide you with a good provision until a named term and He will give every possessor of grace His grace. And if you turn away, then indeed I, I fear for you the punishment of a great day.
11:4  To God is your return and He is powerful over everything.’
11:5  Lo, indeed they, they turn their breasts away to hide from Him. Lo, when they cover themselves with their garments, He knows what they conceal and what they publish. Indeed, He knows what the breasts own.
11:6  And there is no creature in the earth except upon God is its provision, and He knows its place of settledness and its place of storage; all in a clear book.
11:7  And He is the one who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and His throne is on the water, to test you, which of you is best in work. And surely if you say, 'Indeed, you will be raised after death,' Those who disbelieved will surely, definitely say, 'This is not except clear magic.'
11:8  And surely if We defer the punishment from them until a numbered nation, they will surely, definitely say, 'What holds it back?' Lo, on the day it comes to them, it will not be turned away from them and what they used to mock at will surround them.
11:9  And surely if We make man taste mercy from Us, then We draw it out from him, indeed, he is surely despairing, ungrateful;
11:10  And surely if We make him taste favour after distress has touched him, he will surely, definitely say, 'The evils have gone from me;' Indeed, he is surely exultant, boastful.
11:11  Except those who are patient and did the good works; those, for them is forgiveness and a great reward.
11:12  So perhaps you are leaving some of what has been inspired to you and your breast straitens with it that they say, 'If only a treasure has been sent down to him or an angel came with him.’ You are only a warner and God is a trustee over everything.
11:13  Or they say, 'He has forged it.'? Say, 'Then bring ten forged chapters like it; and call on whoever you are able besides God, if you are truthful.'
11:14  Then if they do not respond to you, then know that it has only been sent down with the knowledge of God, and that there is no god but He. So are you submitters?
11:15  Whoever desires the worldly life and its adornment, We pay to them in full their works in it, and they in it, they will not be diminished.
11:16  Those are the ones who there is not for them in the hereafter except the fire; and void is what they made in it and vain is what they used to do.
11:17  So is he who is upon a clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him recites it, and before it is the book of Moses, a model and mercy? Those believe in it; and whoever disbelieves in it of the parties, then the fire is his appointment. So do not be in doubt of it; indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of mankind do not believe.
11:18  And who is more unjust than he who forged a lie against God? Those will present to their Lord, and the witnesses will say, 'These are those who lied against their Lord.' Lo, the curse of God is on the wrongdoers,
11:19  Those who hinder from the way of God, and seek crookedness in it, and they, in the hereafter, they are disbelievers.
11:20  Those will not escape in the earth, and there are no patrons for them besides God. The punishment will be doubled for them. The hearing, they were not able, and they used not to see.
11:21  Those are the ones who have lost their souls; and what they used to forge has gone astray from them.
11:22  No doubt that they, in the hereafter, they are the ones who lose most.
11:23  Indeed, those who believed and did the good works, and were humble to their Lord, those are the fellows of the garden; they will dwell forever in it.
11:24  The similitude of the two parties is like the blind and the deaf, and the seeing and the hearing; Are they both equal in similitude? So will you not remember?
11:25  And surely, certainly We sent Noah to his people, 'Indeed, I am a clear warner to you,
11:26  That, “Do not serve except God. Indeed I, I fear for you the punishment of a painful day.”’
11:27  Then the chiefs, those who disbelieved among his people said, 'We see you not except a mortal like us. And we see you not except those who they are the most vile of us have followed you, to express the opinion. And we see no grace for you over us, nay, we think you are liars.'
11:28  He said, 'O my people! Have you seen if I am on a clear proof from my Lord, and He gave me mercy from Him, and it has been obscured to you, shall we force it upon you while you are averse to it?
11:29  And O my people! I do not ask you for wealth for it. My payment is not except upon God. And I am not one who drives away those who have believed. Indeed, they will meet their Lord, but I, I see you are people who are ignorant.
11:30  And O my people! Who will help me against God if I drive them away? So will you not remember?
11:31  And I do not say to you, "With me are the treasures of God," nor "I know the unseen," and I do not say, "Indeed, I am an angel;" and I do not say for those who your eyes make light of, "God will not give them good," God knows best what is in their souls, indeed, I then surely would be among the wrongdoers.'
11:32  They said, 'O Noah! Certainly you have disputed with us, then multiplied disputation with us; so come to us with what you promise us, if you are of the truthful.'
11:33  He said, 'God will only come to you with it if He wills, and you will not escape.
11:34  And my good advice will not profit you if I desire to give you sincere advice, if God desires to cause you to err. He is your Lord and to Him you will be returned.'
11:35  Or do they say, 'He has forged it'? Say, 'If I forge it, then upon me is my sin. And I am clear of what you sin.'
11:36  And it was inspired to Noah that, 'He will not believe among your people except he who certainly has believed, so do not grieve for what they used to do.
11:37  And make the ship in Our eyes and Our inspiration; and do not address Me concerning those who did wrong; indeed, they will be drowned.'
11:38  And he makes the ship, and whenever chiefs among his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, 'If you ridicule us, then indeed we, we will ridicule you as you ridicule.
11:39  Then soon you will know to whom a punishment disgracing him will come and on whom will alight lasting punishment.'
11:40  Until when Our command came and the oven gushed forth, We said, 'Load in it of each two kinds, and your family except one who the speech has preceded against him, and whoever has believed.' And none believed with him except a few.
11:41  And he said, 'Ride in it; In the name of God is its course, and its anchoring. Indeed, my Lord is surely forgiving, compassionate.'
11:42  And it sailed with them in a wave like mountains; and Noah called out to his son, and he was apart, 'O my son! Ride with us and do not be with the disbelievers.'
11:43  He said, 'Soon I will seek refuge at a mountain, it will protect me from the water.' He said, 'There is no protector today from the command of God, except whoever He had compassion on.' And the wave came between both of them, then he was among those who drowned.
11:44  And it was said, 'O earth! Swallow your water.' And, 'O heaven! Desist.' And the water decreased. And the command was completed. And it settled on Al-Judi. And it was said, 'Away with the wrongdoing people.'
11:45  And Noah called out to his Lord, then he said, 'My Lord! Indeed, my son is of my family, and indeed, Your promise is true and You are the most wise of the judges.'
11:46  He said, 'O Noah! Indeed, he is not of your family; indeed he, work is not righteous. So do not ask Me what you have no knowledge of. Indeed I, I admonish you lest you be among the ignorant.'
11:47  He said, 'My Lord! Indeed I, I seek refuge with You lest I ask You what I have no knowledge of. And except You forgive me and have mercy on me, I will be among the losers.'
11:48  It was said, 'O Noah! Go down with peace from Us and blessings on you and on nations of those with you, and nations whom We will soon give enjoyment to, then a painful punishment will touch them from Us.'
11:49  That is of the information of the unseen, We inspire it to you. You were not to know it, you nor your people before this. So be patient, indeed, the end is for those who fear.
11:50  And to 'Ad their brother Hud. He said, 'O my people! Serve God, there is no god for you other than Him. You are not except forgers.
11:51  O my people! I do not ask you for a payment for it. My payment is not except upon the one who originated me; so will you not become intelligent?
11:52  And O my people! Seek your Lord’s forgiveness, then repent to Him. He will send the sky upon you pouring abundantly and He will give you more strength to your strength and do not turn away as sinners.'
11:53  They said, 'O Hud! You have not brought us a clear proof and we will not leave our gods from your speech and we do not believe you.
11:54  We say not except some of our gods have struck you with evil.' He said, 'Indeed I, I call God to witness and bear witness that I am clear of what you associate
11:55  Besides Him. So plot against me all together, then do not give me respite.
11:56  Indeed I, I have relied on God, my Lord and your Lord. There is no creature except He takes with its forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight way.
11:57  So if you turn away, then certainly, I have conveyed to you what I have been sent to you with. And my Lord will appoint people other than you as successors. And you will not harm Him anything; indeed, my Lord is a guardian over everything.'
11:58  And when Our command came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him by mercy from Us; and We saved them from a harsh punishment.
11:59  And that was 'Ad; they denied the signs of their Lord, and they rebelled against His messengers, and they followed the command of every stubborn tyrant.
11:60  And they were followed in this world by a curse, and on the Day of Resurrection. Lo, indeed, 'Ad disbelieved their Lord. Lo, away with 'Ad, the people of Hud.
11:61  And to Thamud their brother Salih. He said, 'O my people! Serve God, there is no god for you other than Him. He produced you from the earth, and He settled you in it. So seek His forgiveness, then repent to Him; indeed, my Lord is near, responds.’
11:62  They said, 'O Salih! Certainly, you were amongst us one hoped in before this. Do you forbid us to serve what our forefathers serve? And indeed, we surely are in hesitating doubt of what you call us to.’
11:63  He said, 'O my people! Have you seen if I am upon a clear proof from my Lord, and He gave me mercy from Him, then who will help me against God if I rebel against Him? Then you would not increase me other than in loss.
11:64  And O my people! This is the she-camel of God, a sign for you. So leave her to eat in the earth of God and do not touch her with evil, then a near punishment will seize you.'
11:65  Then they hamstrung her, then he said, 'Enjoy in your home three days; that is a promise other than false.'
11:66  Then when Our command came, We saved Salih and those who believed with him by mercy from Us and from the disgrace of that day. Indeed, your Lord, He is the Strong, the Mighty.
11:67  And the noise seized those who did wrong, then they became prone in their homes.
11:68  As though they had not been rich in it. Lo, indeed, Thamud disbelieved their Lord. Lo, away with Thamud.
11:69  And surely, certainly Our messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings. They said, 'Peace,' he said, 'Peace,' then he tarried not to bring a roasted calf.
11:70  Then when he saw their hands not reaching to it, he was ignorant of them and he felt a fear of them. They said, 'Do not fear. Indeed we, we have been sent to the people of Lot.'
11:71  And his wife was standing, then she laughed, then We gave her glad tidings of Isaac and behind Isaac Jacob.
11:72  She said, 'O woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman, and this my husband is an old man? Indeed, this is surely a wonderful thing.'
11:73  They said, 'Do you wonder at the command of God? The mercy of God and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house! Indeed, He is praiseworthy, glorious.'
11:74  Then when the fright went from Abraham and the glad tidings came to him, he argued with Us concerning the people of Lot;
11:75  Indeed, Abraham was surely clement, compassionate, repentant.
11:76  O Abraham! Turn away from this. Indeed it, certainly, the command of your Lord has come. And indeed they, a punishment not to be sent back is coming to them.
11:77  And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was grieved for them, and straitened for them, uneasy, and he said, 'This is a hot day.'
11:78  And his people came to him, they rushed to him, and before they used to do the evil works. He said, 'O my people! These are my daughters, they are purer for you. So fear God and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a rightly directed man?'
11:79  They said, 'Surely, certainly you knew we have no right concerning your daughters; and indeed you, surely, you know what we desire.'
11:80  He said, 'If only I had strength for you or I could seek refuge at a strong support.'
11:81  They said, 'O Lot! Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, they will not reach you; so travel by night with your family, in a part of the night, and let not anyone of you turn round except your wife; indeed, it will befall her what befell them. Indeed, their appointment is the morning. Is the morning not near?'
11:82  Then when Our command came, We made its high part its low part. And We caused stones of layered baked clay to rain upon them,
11:83  Marked by your Lord, and it is not far from the wrongdoers.
11:84  And to Midian their brother Shuayb. He said, 'O my people! Serve God, there is no God for you other than Him. And do not diminish the measure and the weight. Indeed I, I see you with good; and indeed I, I fear for you the punishment of an encompassing day.
11:85  And O my people! Give the measure to the full and the weight with justice; and do not diminish the people their things; and do not do mischief in the earth, working corruption.
11:86  The residue of God is better for you, if you are believers. And I am not a guardian over you.'
11:87  They said, 'O Shuayb! Does your prayer command you that we should leave what our forefathers serve, or that we should do, concerning our wealth, what we will? Indeed you, surely you are the clement, the rightly directed.'
11:88  He said, 'O my people! Have you seen if I am upon a clear proof from my Lord and He has provided me with a good provision from Him? And I do not desire to be contradictory to you to what I forbid you from. I desire not except the reformation of what I am able. And my success is not except with God; upon Him I have relied, and to Him I repent.
11:89  And O my people! Let not my schism make you definitely sin that there befall you the like of what befell the people of Noah or the people of Hud or the people of Salih and the people of Lot are not far from you.
11:90  And seek your Lord’s forgiveness, then repent to Him; indeed, my Lord is compassionate, loving.'
11:91  They said, 'O Shuayb! We do not understand much of what you say; and indeed we, surely, we see you weak amongst us; and if not for your tribe, surely, we would have stoned you; and you are not mighty against us.'
11:92  He said, 'O my people! Is my tribe mightier against you than God? And you have taken Him behind you in disregard. Indeed, my Lord encompasses what you do.
11:93  And O my people! Work according to your position, indeed, I am working. Soon you will know to whom will come a punishment disgracing him and who he is a liar. And watch; indeed, I am with you a watcher.'
11:94  And when Our command came, We saved Shuayb and those who believed with him by mercy from Us; and the noise seized those who did wrong, then they became prone in their homes,
11:95  As though they had not been rich in it. Lo, away with Midian. As Thamud was done away with.
11:96  And surely, certainly We sent Moses with Our signs and a clear authority
11:97  To Pharaoh and his chiefs; then they followed the command of Pharaoh, and the command of Pharaoh was not rightly directed.
11:98  He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection, then bring them to the watering place, the fire; and evil is the watering place, the herd coming to the water.
11:99  And they were followed in this by a curse, and on the Day of Resurrection evil is the gift, the recipient.
11:100  That is of the information of the towns. We narrate it to you; some of them are standing and some mown down.
11:101  We wronged them not, but they wronged their souls. Then their gods, the ones which they call on besides God, availed them nothing when the command of your Lord came; and they increased them not other than in ruin.
11:102  And thus is the seizing of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are doing wrong; indeed, His seizing is painful, severe.
11:103  Indeed, in that is surely a sign for he who feared the punishment of the hereafter. That is a day for which mankind will be gathered together and that is a witnessed day.
11:104  And We defer it not except for a numbered term.
11:105  On the day it comes no soul will speak except with His permission, then some of them will be unprosperous and some happy.
11:106  Then as for those who are unhappy, then in the fire. For them in it is groaning and sobbing.
11:107  To dwell forever in it, so long as the heavens and the earth, except what your Lord wills. Indeed, your Lord is doer of what He desires.
11:108  And as for those who are happy, then in the garden, to dwell forever in it, so long as the heavens and the earth, except what your Lord wills, a gift not cut off.
11:109  So do not be in doubt of what these serve. They serve not except like what their forefathers before serve. And indeed, We will surely pay them their portion in full, undiminished.
11:110  And surely, certainly We gave Moses the book; then it was disagreed about. And if not for a word which preceded from your Lord, surely it would have been decided between them. And indeed, they are surely in hesitating doubt of it.
11:111  And indeed each, after surely your Lord will definitely pay them in full their works; indeed, He is aware of what they do.
11:112  So go straight as you have been commanded and whoever has repented with you; and do not be immoderate; indeed, He sees what you do.
11:113  And do not lean towards those who did wrong, then the fire will touch you. And there are no patrons for you besides God, then you will not be helped.
11:114  And be steadfast in the prayer at the two ends of the day and approach of the night; indeed, the good works remove the evil works. That is a reminder for those who remember.
11:115  And be patient, then indeed, God does not waste the reward of the good-doers.
11:116  So if only there were among the generations before you possessors of a residue forbidding from corruption in the earth except a few of those who We saved among them. And those who did wrong followed what luxury they were surrounded with in it and they were sinners.
11:117  And your Lord would not destroy the towns in injustice while their people are reformers.
11:118  And had your Lord willed, surely He would have made mankind one nation. And they will not cease to disagree,
11:119  Except whoever your Lord had compassion on. And for that He created them. And the word of your Lord was completed, 'Surely, I will definitely fill hell with the jinn and mankind all together.'
11:120  And all We narrate to you of the information of the messengers is what We make firm your heart with. And there has come to you in this the truth and an admonition and a reminder for the believers.
11:121  And say to those who do not believe, 'Work according to your position, indeed, we are working.
11:122  And wait, indeed, we are waiting.'
11:123  And for God is the unseen of the heavens and the earth; and to Him the affair will be returned, all of it. So serve Him and rely on Him; and your Lord is not heedless of what you do.
