to keep back, confine/limit/prevent/withhold/restrain/hinder, to deny/prohibit/refuse, render unsuccessful, to prevent one from doing or attaining something, go astray, lose, perish/destroy, disappoint, expel, curse. To work at something diligently/constantly.

25:13
وَإِذَا أُلْقُوا مِنْهَا مَكَانا ً ضَيِّقا ً مُقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورا ً
Wa 'Idhā 'Ulqū Minhā Makānāan Đayyiqāan Muqarranīna Da`aw Hunālika Thubūrāan
And when they are cast into it from a tight crevice, in chains, they call out their remorse.
25:14
لاَ تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُورا ً وَاحِدا ً وَادْعُوا ثُبُورا ً كَثِيرا ً
Lā Tad`ū Al-Yawma Thubūrāan Wāĥidāan Wa Ad`ū Thubūrāan Kathīrāan
Do not call out one remorse today, but call out many a remorse.
25:14
لاَ تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُورا ً وَاحِدا ً وَادْعُوا ثُبُورا ً كَثِيرا ً

84:11
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُو ثُبُورا ً
Fasawfa Yad`ū Thubūrāan
He will invoke his destruction.

قَالَ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا أَنزَلَ هَاؤُلاَء إِلاَّ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ بَصَائِرَ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَافِرْعَوْنُ مَثْبُورا ً
Qāla Laqad `Alimta Mā 'Anzala Hā'uulā' 'Illā Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐi Başā'ira Wa 'Innī La'ažunnuka Yā Fir`awnu Mathbūrāan
He said: "You know that no one has sent these down except for the Lord of the heavens and the earth as visible proofs. And I think that you Pharaoh are doomed!"
