Ta-Lam-Kaf

(tilka)

This; that.

2:141
Tilka 'Ummatun Qad Khalat Lahā Mā Kasabat Wa Lakum Mā Kasabtum Wa Lā Tus'alūna `Ammā Kānū Ya`malūna

That is a nation that has passed away; to them is what they have earned, and to you is what you have earned; and you will not be asked regarding what they did.

2:187

It has been made lawful for you during the night of fasting to approach your women sexually. They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them. God knows that you used to betray your souls so He has accepted your repentance, and forgiven you; now you may approach them and seek what God has written for you. And you may eat and drink until the white thread is distinct from the black thread of dawn; then you shall complete the fast until night; and do not approach them while you are devoted in the temples. These are the boundaries of God, so do not transgress them. It is thus that God clarifies His revelations to the people who they may be righteous.

2:196

And complete the Pilgrimage and the visit for God. If you are prevented, then simply provide what offering is affordable; and do not shave your heads until the offering reaches its destination. Whoever among you is ill or has an affliction to his head, then he may redeem by fasting or giving a charity or a rite. If you are secure, then whoever goes to visit, but decides to continue until the Pilgrimage, he shall provide what offering is affordable; but for he who cannot find anything, then he must fast for three days during the Pilgrimage and seven when he returns; this will make a complete ten; this is for those whose family is not resident at the Restricted Temple. And be aware of God, and know that God is severe in retribution.

2:229

The divorce is allowed twice. So, either they remain together equitably, or they part ways with goodness. And it is not lawful for you to take back anything you have given them unless you fear that they will not uphold the boundaries of God. So if you fear that they will not uphold the boundaries of God, then there is no sin upon them for what is given back. These are the boundaries of God so do not transgress them. And whoever shall transgress the boundaries of God, then these are the wicked.

2:230

So if he divorces her again, then she will not be lawful for him until after she has married a different husband; if he divorces her; then there is no sin that they come back together if they think they will uphold the boundaries of God. These are the boundaries of God, He clarifies them for a people who know.

2:252
Tilka 'Āyātu Allāhi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Innaka Lamina Al-Mursalīna

These are the revelations of God, We recite them to you with the truth, and you are one of the messengers.

2:253

Such messengers, We have preferred some over others; some of them talked to God, and He raised some of them in rank, and We gave Jesus, son of Mary, the clear proofs and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. And had God wished, the people after them would not have fought after the proofs had come to them, but they disputed, some of them believed and some of them rejected. If God had wished they would not have fought, but God does what He pleases.

3:108
Tilka 'Āyātu Allāhi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Mā Allāhu Yurīdu žulmāan Lil`ālamīna

These are the revelations of God, We recite them to you with the truth. God does not want wickedness for the worlds.

3:140

If you are wounded, then know that the other group is also wounded. And such are the days, We alternate them between the people, so that God will distinguish those who believe, and so He may make witnesses from among you; and God does not love the wicked.

4:13

These are the boundaries of God, and whoever obeys God and His messenger, He will admit him to estates with rivers flowing beneath them, abiding therein. This is the great triumph.

6:83
Wa Tilka Ĥujjatunā 'Ātaynāhā 'Ibrāhīma `Alá Qawmihi Narfa`u Darajātin Man Nashā'u 'Inna Rabbaka Ĥakīmun `Alīmun

And such was Our argument that We gave Abraham over his people; We raise the degree of whom We please. Your Lord is Wise, Knowledgeable.

7:22

So he misled them with deception; and when they tasted the tree, their bodies became apparent to them, and they rushed to cover themselves with the leaves of the paradise; and their Lord called to them: "Did I not prohibit you from that tree, and tell you that the devil is your clear enemy?"

7:101

These are the towns whose news We told to you; their messengers had come to them with proofs, but they would not believe in what they had denied before. It is such that God stamps on the hearts of the rejecters.

10:1
'Alif-Lām-Rā Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Kitābi Al-Ĥakīmi

11:49

This is from the news of the unseen that We inspire to you. Neither did you nor your people know this, so be patient; the ending will be for the righteous.

11:59
Wa Tilka `Ādun Jaĥadū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Wa `Aşaw Rusulahu Wa Attaba`ū 'Amra Kulli Jabbārin `Anīdin

Such was the case of 'Aad. They disregarded the revelations of their Lord, and they disobeyed His messengers, and they followed the command of every stubborn tyrant.

ALMR, these are the signs of the Book. And what has been sent down to you from your Lord is the truth; but most of the people do not believe.

13:35

The example of the Paradise which the righteous are promised, is that rivers flow beneath it, and its provisions are continuous as is its shade. Such is the abode of those who were righteous, while the abode of the rejecters is the Fire.

15:1

ALR, these are the signs of the Book, and a clear Qur'an.

18:59
Wa Tilka Al-Qurá 'Ahlaknāhum Lammā žalamū Wa Ja`alnā Limahlikihim Maw`idāan

And those towns, We destroyed them when they transgressed. And We made for their destruction an appointed time.

19:63
Tilka Al-Jannatu Allatī Nūrithu Min `Ibādinā Man Kāna Taqīyāan

Such is the Paradise that We inherit to any of Our servants who are righteous.

20:17
Wa Mā Tilka Biyamīnika Yā Mūsá

"And what is in your right hand O Moses?"

20:17

"And what is in your right hand O Moses?"

21:15

Famā Zālat Tilka Da`wāhum Ĥattá Ja`alnāhum Ĥaşīdāan Khāmidīna

So that remained their cry until We took them all, and they became still.

26:2

Fatilka Buyūtuhum Khāwiyatan Bimā žalamū 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liqawmin Ya`lamūna

So these are their homes, ruined, for what they transgressed. In that is a sign for a people who know.

28:2
Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Kitābi Al-Mubīni

These are the signs of the clear Book.

28:58
Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Min Qaryatin Baţirat Ma`īshatahā Fatilka Masākinuhum Lam Tuskan Min Ba`dihim 'Illā Qalīlāan Wa Kunnā Naĥnu Al-Wārithīna

And how many a town have We destroyed that had become unappreciative of its livelihood. So here are their dwellings, they remained uninhabited after them, except for a few. And We were the inheritors.

28:83
Tilka Ad-Dāru Al-'Ākhiratu Naj`aluhā Lilladhīna Lā Yurīdūna `Ulūwāan Fī Al-'ArĐi Wa Lā Fasādāan Wa Al-`Āqibatu Lilmuttaqīna

Such will be the abode of the Hereafter; We reserve it for those who do not seek prestige on the earth, nor corruption; and the ending will be for the righteous.

29:43
Wa Tilka Al-'Amthālu NaĐribuhā Lilnnāsi Wa Mā Ya`qiluhā 'Illā Al-`Ālimūna

Such are the examples We put forth for the people, but none comprehend except the knowledgeable.

And this is the Paradise that you have inherited, in return for your works.

45:6
Tilka 'Āyātu Allāhi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi Fabi'ayyi Ĥadīthin Ba`da Allāhi Wa 'Āyātihi Yu'uminūna

These are the revelations of God, We recite them to you with the truth. So, in which narrative afterGod and His revelations do they believe?

53:22
Tilka 'Idhāan Qismatun Đīzá

What a strange distribution!

58:4

If he cannot find any, then he shall fast two consecutive months before any sexual contact between them. If he cannot, then he shall feed sixty poor people. That is so you would believe inGod and His messenger. And these are the boundaries set by God. The disbelievers have incurred a painful retribution.

59:21

Had We sent down this Quran to a mountain, you would have seen it trembling, crumbling, out of concern from God. And such are the examples We put forth for the people, that they may reflect.

65:1
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nabīyu 'Idhā Ţallaqtumu An-Nisā' Faţalliqūhunna Li`iddatihinna Wa 'Aĥşū Al-`Iddata Wa Attaqū Allāha Rabbakum Lā Tukhrijūhunna Min Buyūtihinna Wa Lā Yakhrujna 'Illā 'An Ya'tīna Bifāĥishatin Mubayyinatin Wa Tilka Ĥudūdu Allāhi Wa Man Yata`adda Ĥudūda Allāhi Faqad žalama Nafsahu Lā Tadrī La`alla Allāha Yuĥdithu Ba`da Dhālika 'Amrāan

O you prophet, if any of you have divorced the women, then they should be divorced while ensuring that their required interim is fulfilled, and keep count of the interim. You shall reverence God your Lord, and do not evict them from their homes, nor should they leave, unless they commit an evident lewdness. And these are the boundaries of God. And anyone who transgresses the boundaries of God has wronged his soul. You never know; perhaps God will make something come out of this.

79:12
Qālū Tilka 'Idhāan Karratun Khāsirahun

They said: This is an impossible recurrence.

2:134
Tilka 'Ummatun Qad Khalat Lahā Mā Kasabat Wa Lakum Mā Kasabtum Wa Lā Tus'alūna `Ammā Kānū Ya`malūna

That is a nation that has passed away; to them is what they have earned, and to you is what you have earned; and you will not be asked regarding what they did.
