to injure by heat, to scorch/burn/heat/melt, anything that changes the nature of by melting it, fire (of the Hell).

يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ
Yawma Yusĥabūna Fī An-Nāri `Alá Wujūhihim Dhūqū Massa Saqara
The Day when they will be dragged upon their faces into the Fire: Taste the agony of the scorching heat!
74:26
سَأُصْلِيه ِِ سَقَرَ
Sa'uşlīhi Saqara
I will cast him in the scorching heat.
74:27
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Saqaru
And do you know what is the scorching heat?
74:42
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ
Mā Salakakum Fī Saqara
"What has caused you to be in the scorching heat?"
