God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which there is a lamp, the lamp is encased in a glass, the glass is like a radiant planet, which is lit from a blessed olive tree that is neither of the east nor of the west, its oil nearly gives off light even if not touched by fire. Light upon light, God guides to His light whom He pleases. And God sets forth examples for the people, and God is aware of all things.

41:12

Thus, He then made them into seven heavens in two days, and He inspired to every heaven its affair. And We adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and for protection. Such is the design of the Noble, the Knowledgeable.

67:5

And We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made it with projectiles against the devils; and We prepared for them the retribution of the blazing Fire.

3:103
Wa A`taşimū Biĥabli Allāhi Jamī`āan Wa Lā Tafarraqū Wa Adhkurū Ni`mata Allāhi `Alaykum 'Idh Kuntum 'A`dā'an Fa'allafa Bayna Qulūbikum Fa'aşbaĥtum Bini`matihi 'Ikhwānāan Wa Kuntum `Alá Shafā Ĥufratin Mina An-Nāri Fa'anqadhakum Minhā Kadhālika Yubayyinu Allāhu Lakum 'Āyātihi La`allakum Tahtadūna

And hold firmly to the rope of God, all of you, and do not be separated. And remember the blessing of God upon you when you were enemies and He united your hearts. Then you became, with His blessing, brothers; and you were on the edge of a pit of fire and He saved you from it; it is thus that God clarifies for you His signs that you may be guided.

5:30
Faţawwa`at Lahu Nafsuhu Qatla 'Akhīhi Faqatalahu Fa'aşbaĥa Mina Al-Khāsirīna

So he found it in himself to kill his brother; so he killed him. He thus became one of the losers.

5:31

So God sent forth a raven to scratch the land and show him how to deal with the body of his brother. He said: "Woe to me! Am I not even able to be like this raven and deal with the body of my brother?" So he became of those who regretted.

5:53

And those who believe said: "Were these the ones who swore oaths by God that they are with you?" Their works have collapsed, and they have become losers.

5:102
Qad Sa'alahā Qawmun Min Qablikum Thumma 'Aşbaĥū Bihā Kāfirīna

A people before you had asked the same, then they became rejecters in it.

7:78
Fa'akhadhat/humu Ar-Rajfatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Dārihim Jāthimīna

The earthquake took them, thus they became lifeless in their home.

7:91
Fa'akhadhat/humu Ar-Rajfatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Dārihim Jāthimīna

The earthquake took them, thus they became lifeless in their home.

11:67
Wa 'Akhadha Al-Ladhīna žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihim Jāthimīna

And those who had wronged were taken by the scream, thus they became lifeless in their homes.

11:94
Wa Lammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Shu`aybāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa 'Akhadhati Al-Ladhīna žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihim Jāthimīna

And when Our command came, We saved Shu'ayb and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us; and the scream took those who had wronged, thus they became lifeless in their homes.

18:42

So his fruits were ruined, and he began turning his hands at that which he had spent on it while it remained destroyed upon its branches. And he said: "I wish I had not set up any partner with my Lord!"

18:45
Wa AĐrib Lahum Mathala Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Kamā'in 'Anzalnāhu Mina As-Samā'i Fākhtalaţa Bihi Nabātu Al-'ArĐi Fa'aşbaĥa Hashīmāan Tadhrūhu Ar-Riyāĥu Wa Kāna Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Muqtadirāan

And give them the example of this worldly life is like a water which We have sent down from the sky, so that the plants of the earth mix with it and it becomes murky being moved by the wind. And God is capable of all things.

26:157
Fa`aqarūhā Fa'aşbaĥū Nādimīna

But they slaughtered her, and they became regretful.

28:10
Wa 'Aşbaĥa Fu'uādu 'Ummi Mūsá Fārighāan 'In Kādat Latubdī Bihi Lawlā 'An Rabaţnā `Alá Qalbihā Litakūna Mina Al-Mu'uminīna

And the heart of Moses' mother became anxious, that she nearly revealed her identity. But We strengthened her heart, so that she would be of the believers.

28:18

So he spent the night in the city, afraid and watchful. Then the one who sought his help yesterday, was asking again for his help. Moses said to him: "You are clearly a trouble maker."

28:82
Wa 'Aşbaĥa Al-Ladhīna Tamannaw Makānahu Bil-'Amsi Yaqūlūna Wayka'anna Allāha Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi Wa Yaqdiru Lawlā 'An Manna Allāhu `Alaynā Lakhasafa Binā Wayka'annahu Lā Yufliĥu Al-Kāfirūna

And those who wished they were in his place the day before said: "Indeed it is God Who provides or restricts for whoever He chooses from among His servants. Had it not been for the grace of God towards us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us as well. We now realize that the rejecters never succeed."

29:37
Fakadhdhabūhu Fa'akhadhat/humu Ar-Rajfatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Dārihim Jāthimīna

But they denied him, so the earthquake took them; thus they became lifeless in their dwelling.

41:23
Wa Dhalikum žannukumu Al-Ladhī žanantum Birabbikum 'Ardākum Fa'aşbaĥtum Mina Al-Khāsirīna

And this is the kind of thinking about your Lord that has caused you to fail, and thus you became of the losers.

46:25
Tudammiru Kulla Shay'in Bi'amri Rabbihā Fa'aşbaĥū Lā Yurá 'Illā Masākinuhum Kadhālika Najzī Al-Qawma Al-Mujrimīna

It destroys everything by the command of its Lord. Thus they became such that nothing could be seen except their dwellings. We thus requite the criminal people.

61:14

O you who believe, be supporters of God, as Jesus, son of Mary, said to his disciples: Who are my supporters towards God? The disciples said: We are supporters of God. Thus, a group from the Children of Israel believed, and another group rejected. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they were successful.

67:30
Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In 'Aşbaĥa Mā'uukum Ghawrāan Faman Ya'tīkum Bimā'in Ma`īnin

Say: What if your water becomes deep underground, who then can provide you with pure water?

68:20

Fa'aşbaĥat Kālşşarīmi

Thus, it became barren.

Fatará Al-Ladhīna Fī Qulūbihim MaraĐun Yusāri`ūna Fīhim Yaqūlūna Nakhshá 'An Tuşībanā Dā'iratun Fa`asá Allāhu 'An Ya'tiya Bil-Fatĥi 'Aw 'Amrin Min `Indihi Fayuşbiĥū `Alá Mā 'Asarrū Fī 'Anfusihim Nādimīna

You will see those who have a disease in their hearts hurrying to them, saying: "We are concerned that a disaster will befall us!" Perhaps God will bring a victory or a decree from Himself, then they will become regretful over what they had kept hidden within themselves.

18:40
Fa`asá Rabbī 'An Yu'utiyanī Khayrāan Min Jannatika Wa Yursila `Alayhā Ĥusbānāan Mina As-Samā'i Fatuşbiĥa Şa`īdāan Zalaqāan

"Perhaps my Lord will give me better than your garden, and He will send upon it a tornado from the sky, so it becomes completely barren."

18:41
'Aw Yuşbiĥa Mā'uuhā Ghawrāan Falan Tastaţī`a Lahu Ţalabāan

"Or that its water becomes deep under-ground, so you will not be capable of seeking it."

22:63
'Alam Tará 'Anna Allāha 'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fatuşbiĥu Al-'ArĐu MukhĐarratan 'Inna Allāha Laţīfun Khabīrun

Did you not see that God sends down water from the sky, and then the land becomes green? God is Compassionate, Expert.

23:40
Qāla `Ammā Qalīlin Layuşbiĥunna Nādimīna

He said: "In a little while they will be in regret."

30:17
Fasubĥāna Allāhi Ĥīna Tumsūna Wa Ĥīna Tuşbiĥūna

So glory be to God, when you retire and when you wake.

49:6
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'In Jā'akum Fāsiqun Binaba'iin Fatabayyanū 'An Tuşībū Qawmāan Bijahālatin Fatuşbiĥū `Alá Mā Fa`altum Nādimīna

O you who believe, if a wicked person comes to you with any news, then you shall investigate it. Lest you harm a people out of ignorance, then you will become regretful over what you have done.

15:66
Wa QaĐaynā 'Ilayhi Dhālika Al-'Amra 'Anna Dābira Hā'uulā' Maqţū`un Muşbiĥīna

And We made the matter known to him, that the remainder of these people would be wiped out by the morning.

15:83
Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şayĥatu Muşbiĥīna

So the scream took them in the morning.

37:137
Wa 'Innakum Latamurrūna `Alayhim Muşbiĥīna

And you pass by their ruins in the morning;

68:17
'Innā Balawnāhum Kamā Balawnā 'Aşĥāba Al-Jannati 'Idh 'Aqsamū Layaşrimunnahā Muşbiĥīna

We have tested them like We tested those who owned the farm, when they swore that they will harvest it in the morning.
