قَالَ يَبْنَؤُمَّ لاَ تَأْخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِي وَلاَ بِرَأْسِي إِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تَقُولَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَمْ تَرْقُبْ قَوْلِي
Qāla Yabna'uumma Lā Ta'khudh Biliĥyatī Wa Lā Bira'sī 'Innī Khashītu 'An Taqūla Farraqta Bayna Banī 'Isrā'īla Wa Lam Tarqub Qawlī
He said: "O son of my mother, do not grab me by my beard nor by my head. I was concerned that you would say that I separated between the Children of Israel, and that I did not follow your orders."
