To overtake, reach, attain, catch up, cleave, join, become or made himself on a par, ensue, affiliate, coherent with.

vb. (I) impf. act.
3:170
فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلاَّ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Fariĥīna Bimā 'Ātāhumu Allāhu Min FaĐlihi Wa Yastabshirūna Bial-Ladhīna Lam Yalĥaqū Bihim Min Khalfihim 'Allā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna
Happy with what God has granted them from His grace, and they rejoice in those who have yet to follow after them. There is no fear upon them nor do they grieve.
62:3
وَآخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Wa 'Ākharīna Minhum Lammā Yalĥaqū Bihim Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu
And to other generations subsequent to them. He is the Noble, the Wise.

34:27
قُلْ أَرُونِيَ الَّذِينَ أَلْحَقْتُمْ بِه ِِ شُرَكَاءَ كَلاَّ بَلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Qul 'Arūniya Al-Ladhīna 'Alĥaqtum Bihi Shurakā'a Kallā Bal Huwa Allāhu Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu
Say: Show me those whom you have set up as partners with Him! No; He is but God, the Noble, the Wise.
52:21
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ كُلُّ امْرِئ ٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِين ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Attaba`at/hum Dhurrīyatuhum Bi'īmānin 'Alĥaqnā Bihim Dhurrīyatahum Wa Mā 'Alatnāhum Min `Amalihim Min Shay'in Kullu Amri'in Bimā Kasaba Rahīnun
And those who believed, and their progeny also followed them in belief; We will have their progeny join them. We never fail to reward them for any work. Every person is paid for what he did.

رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ أَنْتَ وَلِيِّ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِما ً وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi Qad 'Ātaytanī Mina Al-Mulki Wa `Allamtanī Min Ta'wīli Al-'Aĥādīthi Fāţira As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐi 'Anta Wa Līyi Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Tawaffanī Muslimāan Wa 'Alĥiqnī Biş-Şāliĥīna
"My Lord, You have given me sovereignty and taught me the interpretation of the narrations. Initiator of the heavens and the earth, You are my protector in this world and the Hereafter. Let me die as one who has submitted, and join me with the good doers."
26:83
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْما ً وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi Hab Lī Ĥukmāan Wa 'Alĥiqnī Biş-Şāliĥīna
"My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the good doers."
