59:9
Wa Al-Ladhīna Tabawwa'ū Ad-Dāra Wa Al-'Īmāna Min Qablihim Yuĥibbūna Man Hājara 'Ilayhim Wa Lā Yajidūna Fī Şudūrihim Ĥājatan Mimmā 'Ūtū Wa Yu'uthirūna `Alá 'Anfusihim Wa Law Kāna Bihim Khaşāşatun Wa Man Yūqa Shuĥĥa Nafsihi Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna

And those who provided them with shelter, and were believers before them; they love those who immigrated to them, and they find no hesitation in their hearts in helping them, and they readily give them priority over themselves, even when they themselves need what they give away. Indeed, those who overcome their desires are the successful ones.

8:25
Wa Attaqū Fitnatan Lā Tuşībanna Al-Ladhīna žalamū Minkum Khāşşatan Wa A`lamū 'Anna Allāha Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi

And be aware of a test that will not only afflict those of you who were wicked; and know that God is severe in retribution.

ikhtassa

vb. (8) impf. act.

2:105
Mā Yawaddu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi Wa Lā Al-Mushrikīna 'An Yunazzala `Alaykum Min Khayrin Min Rabbikum Wa Allāhu Yakhtaşşu Biraĥmatihi Man Yashā'u Wa Allāhu Dhū Al-FaĐli Al-`Ažīmi

Neither do those who have rejected from among the people of the Book, nor from among the polytheists, wish that any good comes down to you from your Lord. But God chooses with His mercy whom He wishes; and from God is the greatest grace.

3:74
Yakhtaşşu Biraĥmatihi Man Yashā'u Wa Allāhu Dhū Al-FaĐli Al-`Ažīmi

He singles out with His mercy whom He chooses, and God is with Great Bounty.
