O you who have received the Book, believe in what We have sent down authenticating what is with you, before We cast down faces and turn them on their backs or curse them as the people of the Sabbath were cursed. And the will of God is always done.

5:21

8:15

And whoever on that day flees from them; unless it is part of the battle strategy or if he is retreating back to his group; then he has drawn the wrath of God upon him, and his abode will be Hell. What a miserable destiny.

8:50
Wa Law Tará 'Idh Yatawaffá Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Al-Malā'ikatu YaĐribūna Wujūhahum Wa 'Adbārahum Wa Dhūqū `Adhāba Al-Ĥarīqi

And if you could only see as the angels terminate the lives of those who have rejected, they strike their faces and their backs: "Taste the punishment of the blazing Fire!"

12:25

And as they rushed towards the door, she tore his shirt from behind; and they found her master at the door. She said: "What is the punishment for he who wanted evil for your family? Is it not that he be imprisoned or punished painfully?"

12:27
Wa 'In Kāna Qamīşuhu Qudda Min Duburin Fakadhabat Wa Huwa Mina Aş-Şādiqīna

"And if his shirt is torn from behind, then she is lying, and he is truthful."

12:28

So when he saw that his shirt was torn from behind, he said: "This is from your female planning, your female planning is indeed great!"

15:65
Fa'asri Bi'ahlika Biqiţ`in Mina Al-Layli Wa Attabi` 'Adbārahum Wa Lā Yaltafit Minkum 'Aĥadun Wa AmĐū Ĥaythu Tu'umarūna

"So let your family leave during the late hours of the night, and you follow just behind them, and do not let any of you look back, and go to where you are commanded."

17:46
Wa Ja`alnā `Alá Qulūbihim 'Akinnatan 'An Yafqahūhu Wa Fī 'Ādhānihim Waqrāan Wa 'Idhā Dhakarta Rabbaka Fī Al-Qur'āni Waĥdahu Wa Llaw `Alá 'Adbārihim Nufūrāan

And we place shields over their hearts, that they should not understand it, and a deafness in their ears. And if you mention your Lord in the Qur'an alone, they run away turning their backs in aversion.

33:15
Wa Laqad Kānū `Āhadū Allāha Min Qablu Lā Yuwallūna Al-'Adbāra Wa Kāna `Ahdu Allāhi Mas'ūlāan

And indeed they had pledged to God before this that they would not turn around and flee; and making a pledge to God brings great responsibility.

47:25
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Artaddū `Alá 'Adbārihim Min Ba`di Mā Tabayyana Lahumu Al-Hudá Ash-Shayţānu Sawwala Lahum Wa 'Amlá Lahum

Surely, those who returned back, after the guidance has been made clear to them, the devil has enticed them and has led them on.

47:27
Fakayfa 'Idhā Tawaffat/humu Al-Malā'ikatu YaĐribūna Wujūhahum Wa 'Adbārahum

So how will it be when their lives are terminated by the angels, while striking their faces and their backs?

48:22
Wa Law Qātalakumu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lawallaw Al-'Adbāra Thumma Lā Yajidūna Walīyāan Wa Lā Naşīrāan

And if the rejecters had fought you, they would have turned and ran, then they would have found neither an ally nor a victor.

50:40
Wa Mina Al-Layli Fasabbiĥhu Wa 'Adbāra As-Sujūdi

And from the night glorify Him, and after prostrating.

54:45
Sayuhzamu Al-Jam`u Wa Yuwallūna Ad-Dubura

The large group will be defeated; they will turn around and flee.

59:12
La'in 'Ukhrijū Lā Yakhrujūna Ma`ahum Wa La'in Qūtilū Lā Yanşurūnahum Wa La'in Naşarūhum Layuwallunna Al-'Adbāra Thumma Lā Yunşarūna

Kitābun 'Anzalnāhu 'Ilayka Mubārakun Liyaddabbarū 'Āyātihi Wa Liyatadhakkara 'Ūlū Al-'Albābi

A Book that We have sent down to you, that is blessed, so that they may reflect upon its revelations, and so that those who possess intelligence will take heed.

47:24
'Afalā Yatadabbarūna Al-Qur'āna 'Am `Alá Qulūbin 'Aqfāluhā

Do they not reflect upon the Quran? Or are there locks on the hearts?
