Ba-Kaf-Ya
wept, lamented/grieved, shed tears, crying, cause to weep, rain, unable to speak.

44:29
فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنظَرِينَ
Famā Bakat `Alayhimu As-Samā'u Wa Al-'ArĐu Wa Mā Kānū Munžarīna
Neither the heaven, nor the earth wept over them, and they were not respited.
impf. act.
9:82
فَلْيَضْحَكُوا قَلِيلا ً وَلْيَبْكُوا كَثِيرا ً جَزَاء ً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
FalyaĐĥakū Qalīlāan Wa Līabkū Kathīrāan Jazā'an Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna
Let them laugh a little, and cry a lot, a recompense for what they have earned.
12:16
وَجَاءُوا أَبَاهُمْ عِشَاء ً يَبْكُونَ
Wa Jā'ū 'Abāhum `Ishā'an Yabkūna
And they came to their father in the evening, crying.
17:109
وَيَخِرُّونَ لِلأَذْقَانِ يَبْكُونَ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ خُشُوعا ً
Wa Yakhirrūna Lil'adhqāni Yabkūna Wa Yazīduhum Khushū`āan
And they fall upon their chins crying, and it increases them in humility.
53:60
وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلاَ تَبْكُونَ
Wa TaĐĥakūna Wa Lā Tabkūna
And you are laughing, while you should be crying?

أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ آدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوح ٍ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْنَا إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُ الرَّحْمَنِ خَرُّوا سُجَّدا ً وَبُكِيّا ً
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna 'An`ama Allāhu `Alayhim Mina An-Nabīyīna Min Dhurrīyati 'Ādama Wa Mimman Ĥamalnā Ma`a Nūĥin Wa Min Dhurrīyati 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Isrā'īla Wa Mimman Hadaynā Wa Ajtabaynā 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātu Ar-Raĥmāni Kharrū Sujjadāan Wa Bukīyāan
Those are the ones whom God has blessed from among the prophets from the progeny of Adam, and those We carried with Noah, and from the progeny of Abraham and Israel, and from whom We have guided and chosen. When the revelations of the Almighty are recited to them, they fall down prostrating, and in tears.

وَأَنَّه ُُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَى
Wa 'Annahu Huwa 'AĐĥaka Wa 'Abká
And He is the One who makes laughter and tears.
