Those who consume usury do not rise except as one being influenced by the touch of the devil. That is because they have said: "Trade is the same as usury." While God has made trade lawful, and He has made usury unlawful. Whoever has received understanding from His Lord and ceases, then he will be forgiven for what was before this and his case will be with God. But whoever returns, then they are the people of the Fire, in it they will abide.

O you who believe, do not kill any game while you are restricted; and whoever of you kills it deliberately, then the recompense is to value what was killed against the livestock, which shall be judged by two equitable persons from you, and to make it as a donation to reach the Base. Or, its expiation shall be in using it to feed the needy ones, while he abstains from it; that is to suffer the results of his deed; God forgives what has past. And whoever returns, then God will seek vengeance on him. God is Noble, capable of vengeance.

Those who had estranged their women, then they retracted what they had said, they shall free a slave before they have sexual contact between them. This is to enlighten you. God is well aware of everything you do.

They meet secretly to commit sin, transgression, and disobedience of the messenger. When they come to you, they greet you with a greeting other than that which God greets you with. They say inside themselves: Why does God not punish us for our utterances? Hell will be sufficient for them, wherein they burn; what a miserable destiny.

25:38
Wa `Ādāan Wa Thamūda Wa 'Aşĥāba Ar-Rassi Wa Qurūnāan Bayna Dhālika Kathīrāan

And 'Aad and Thamud and the dwellers of Arras, and many generations in between.

26:123
Kadhdhabat `Ādun Al-Mursalīna

'Aad denied the messengers.

29:38
Wa `Ādāan Wa Thamūda Wa Qad Tabayyana Lakum Min Masākinihim Wa Zayyana Lahumu Ash-Shayţānu 'A`mālahum Faşaddahum `Ani As-Sabīli Wa Kānū Mustabşirīna

And 'Aad and Thamud. Much was made apparent to you from their dwellings. The devil had adorned their works in their eyes, thus he diverted them from the path, even though they could see.

38:12
Kadhdhabat Qablahum Qawmu Nūĥin Wa `Ādun Wa Fir`awnu Dhū Al-'Awtādi

Disbelieving before them were the people of Noah, 'Aad, and Pharaoh with the planks.

40:31
Mithla Da'bi Qawmi Nūĥin Wa `Ādin Wa Thamūda Wa Al-Ladhīna Min Ba`dihim Wa Mā Allāhu Yurīdu žulmāan Lil`ibādi

Like the fate of the people of Noah, Aad, and Thamud, and those after them. And God does not wish any injustice for the servants.

41:13
Fa'in 'A`raĐū Faqul 'Andhartukum Şā`iqatan Mithla Şā`iqati `Ādin Wa Thamūda

But if they turn away, then say: I have warned you of a destruction like the destruction of Aad and Thamud.

41:15
Fa'ammā `Ādun Fāstakbarū Fī Al-'ArĐi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Qālū Man 'Ashaddu Minnā Qūwatan 'Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Allāha Al-Ladhī Khalaqahum Huwa 'Ashaddu Minhum Qūwatan Wa Kānū Bi'āyātinā Yajĥadūna

As for Aad, they turned arrogant on the earth, without any right, and they said: Who is mightier than us in strength? Did they not see that God, who has created them, was mightier than they in strength? And they were denying Our revelations.

46:21
Wa Adhkur 'Akhā `Ādin 'Idh 'Andhara Qawmahu Bil-'Aĥqāfi Wa Qad Khalati An-Nudhuru Min Bayni Yadayhi Wa Min Khalfihi 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā Allāha 'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin

And recall that the brethren of `Aad warned his people at the dunes, while numerous warnings were also delivered before him and with him: You shall not serve except God. For I fear for you the retribution of a great day.

50:13
Wa `Ādun Wa Fir`awnu Wa 'Ikhwānu Lūţin

And Aad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot.

51:41
Wa Fī `Ādin 'Idh 'Arsalnā `Alayhimu Ar-Rīĥa Al-`Aqīma

And also Aad, for We sent upon them the barren wind.

53:50
Wa 'Annahu 'Ahlaka `Ādāan Al-'Ūlá

And He is the One who destroyed `Aad the first.

54:18
Kadhdhabat `Ādun Fakayfa Kāna `Adhābī Wa Nudhuri

Aad disbelieved. So how was My retribution after the warnings!

69:4
Kadhdhabat Thamūdu Wa `Ādun Bil-Qāri`ahi

Thamud and Aad disbelieved in the Shocker.

69:6
Wa 'Ammā `Ādun Fa'uhlikū Birīĥin Şarşarin `Ātiyahin

And as for Aad, they were annihilated by a furious violent wind.

89:6
'Alam Tara Kayfa Fa`ala Rabbuka Bi`ādin

Did you not see what your Lord did to Aad?

28:85

Surely, the One who decreed the Qur'an to you will summon you to a predetermined appointment. Say: "My Lord is fully aware of who it is that brings the guidance, and who has gone astray."

a'ada

vb. (4) impf. act.

Say: "Are there any from those whom you have set up as partners who can initiate the creation and then return it?" Say: "God initiates the creation and then returns it." How are you deluded!

10:34
Qul Hal Min Shurakā'ikum Man Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Quli Allāhu Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Fa'anná Tu'ufakūna

Say: "Are there any from those whom you have set up as partners who can initiate the creation and then return it?" Say: "God initiates the creation and then returns it." How are you deluded!

17:51

"Or a creation that is held dear in your chests." They will say: "Who will return us?" Say: "The One who initiated you the first time." They will shake their heads to you and say: "When is this?" Say: "Perhaps it is near."

17:69

Or are you confident that He would not send you back again in it, then He would send against you a violent wind and cause you to drown for your rejection? Then you will not find a second chance with Us.

18:20
'Innahum 'In Yažharū `Alaykum Yarjumūkum 'Aw Yu`īdūkum Fī Millatihim Wa Lan Tufliĥū 'Idhāan 'Abadāan

"If they discover you, they will stone you or return you to their creed. Then you will never be successful."

20:21
Qāla Khudh/hā Wa Lā Takhaf Sanu`īduhā Sīratahā Al-'Ūlá

He said: "Take it and do not be fearful, We will turn it back to its previous form."

20:55
Minhā Khalaqnākum Wa Fīhā Nu`īdukum Wa Minhā Nukhrijukum Tāratan 'Ukhrá

From it We created you and in it We return you, and from it We bring you out another time.

21:104

On the Day when We roll up the heavens like the scroll of a book is rolled up. As We initiated the first creation, so shall We return it. It is a promise of Ours that We will do this.

27:64

The One who initiates the creation then He returns it, and He provides for you from the sky and the land. Is there a god with God? Say: "Bring your proof if you are being truthful."

29:19
'Awalam Yaraw Kayfa Yubdi'u Allāhu Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu 'Inna Dhālika `Alá Allāhi Yasīrun

Did they not observe how God initiates the creation then He returns it? All that for God is easy to do.

30:11
Allāhu Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Thumma 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna

God initiates the creation, then He repeats it, then to Him you will return.

30:27

And He is the One who initiates the creation, then He repeats it, and this is easy for Him. And to Him is the highest example in the heavens and the earth. And He is the Noble, the Wise.

34:49
Qul Jā'a Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Mā Yubdi'u Al-Bāţilu Wa Mā Yu`īdu

Say: The truth has come; while falsehood can neither initiate anything, nor resurrect.

71:18
Thumma Yu`īdukum Fīhā Wa Yukhrijukum 'Ikhrājāan

"Then He returns you to it, and He brings you out totally?"

85:13
'Innahu Huwa Yubdi'u Wa Yu`īdu

It is He who initiates and then returns.

perf. pass.

22:22
Kullamā 'Arādū 'An Yakhrujū Minhā Min Ghammin 'U`īdū Fīhā Wa Dhūqū `Adhāba Al-Ĥarīqi

Every time they want to escape the anguish, they are returned to it. Taste the retribution of the burning!

32:20

And as for those who were wicked, their abode is the Fire. Every time they try to leave it, they will be put back in it, and it will be said to them: Taste the retribution of the Fire which you used to deny.
