AYAH al-Ma`idah 5:105

Arabic يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ zoom
Transliteration Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo AAalaykum anfusakum la yadurrukum man dalla itha ihtadaytum ila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbi-okum bima kuntum taAAmaloona zoom
Transliteration-2 yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū ʿalaykum anfusakum lā yaḍurrukum man ḍalla idhā ih'tadaytum ilā l-lahi marjiʿukum jamīʿan fayunabbi-ukum bimā kuntum taʿmalūna zoom

 O you who believe! Upon you (is to guard) yourselves. Will not harm you (those) who (have gone) astray when you have been guided. To Allah (is) your return - all; then He will inform you of what you used to do. zoom


Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad O you who have attained to faith! It is [but] for your own selves that you are responsible: those who go astray can do you no harm if you [yourselves] are on the right path. Unto God you all must return: and then He will make you [truly] understand all that you were doing [in life]. zoom
