44:1  Ha Mīm.
44:2  By the Evident Scripture,
44:3  We have indeed sent it down on a blessed night. Indeed, We have always been warning.
44:4  On it, every wise command is distinguished—
44:5  a command from Us; indeed, We have always been sending
44:6  mercy from yoursg Lord—indeed, it is He who is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing—
44:7  (from the) Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if youpl (can ever) believe with certitude.
44:8  There is no god but He; He gives life and causes death—yourpl Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers.
44:9  Yet they play around in doubt.
44:10  So waitsg and watch out for the day when the sky produces evident smoke
44:11  that overwhelms mankind; this is a painful punishment.
44:12  “Our Lord, lift the punishment from us; we are truly believers.”
44:13  But how can the reminding benefit them when an evident messenger had already come to them,
44:14  then they turned away from him and said, “(He is) taught (by others), a madman!”
44:15  Indeed, if We lift off the punishment a little, youpl will revert.
44:16  On the day when We assault with the biggest onslaught, We will indeed wreak vengeance upon them.
44:17  And surely before them We tested the people of Pharaoh when a noble messenger came to them,
44:18  saying, “Hand over Allah’s servants to me; indeed, I am to youpl a trustworthy messenger.
44:19  And do not consider yourselves to be above Allah; indeed, I come to you with an evident manifestation.
44:20  And I have indeed sought refuge with my Lord and yourpl Lord lest you stone me.
44:21  Thus if youpl do not believe in me, just keep away from me.”
44:22  Then he called upon his Lord—that these people are criminals.
44:23  (Then His Lord commanded,) “Journey with My servants by night; indeed, youpl will be followed.
44:24  And leavesg the sea parted (behind you); indeed, they are an army to be drowned.”
44:25  How many gardens and springs did they leave behind,
44:26  as well as vegetation(s) and a noble domicile
44:27  and a blessing they used to enjoy?
44:28  So it was. And We made another people inherit it.
44:29  So neither heaven nor earth wept over them, nor were they reprieved.
44:30  And surely, We delivered the Children of Israel from the demeaning punishment—
44:31  from Pharaoh; indeed, he was of the extremists.
44:32  And We chose them knowingly over all communities,
44:33  and gave them of the signs that which was an evident test.
44:34  Indeed, these people surely say,
44:35  “There is nothing but our first death, for we will not be resurrected.
44:36  So bringpl back our forefathers, if you are truthful!”
44:37  Are they better, or the people of Tubba’ and those before them? We annihilated them; indeed, they were criminals.
44:38  And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them to play.
44:39  We did not create them except with truth, but most of them do not know.
44:40  Indeed, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for them all—
44:41  a day when no patron will avail a protégé in any way, and they cannot be supported,
44:42  except for one upon whom Allah has had mercy; indeed, He is the Almighty, the Bestower of mercy.
44:43  Indeed, the Tree of Zaqqum
44:44  is the food of the sinful one,
44:45  like molten brass boiling in the bellies
44:46  like the boiling of scalding water.
44:47  "Takepl him and drag him into the midst of Hell,
44:48  then pour over his head some of the punishment of scalding water!”
44:49  Tastesg! You —indeed you—are the mighty, the noble. "
44:50  Indeed, this is what youpl were skeptical about."
44:51  Indeed, the mindful (of God) are in a safe domicile,
44:52  amidst Gardens and springs,
44:53  dressed in silk and brocade, facing one another.
44:54  So it is. And We married them to spouses with lovely wide eyes.
44:55  They call therein for every kind of fruit, feeling safe.
44:56  Therein they do not taste death beyond the first death, and He shielded them from the punishment of Hell—
44:57  a grace from yoursg Lord; that is the great triumph.
44:58  Thus have We made it easy through yoursg tongue, that they may remind themselves.
44:59  So wait and watchsg. Indeed, they too are waiting and watching.
