44:1  H (Ha), M (Miim):

44:2  By (Wa) the Clear (El'Mubiin) Book (El'Kitaabi).

44:3  Indeed, (Innaa) We revealed it (Anzal'naa-hu) in (Fii) a blessed (Mubaarakatin) night (Lai'latin). Indeed (Innaa), We are (Kunna) warning (Munziriin). (97:1)

44:4  Every (Kullu) matter (Am'rin) therein (Fiihaa) was distinguished (Yuf'raqu) wisely (Hakiim);

44:5  matters (Am'ran) from Us (Min' Endi-naa). Indeed (Innaa), We were (Kunna) transmitting (Mur'siliin)

44:6  as mercy (Rah'matan) from (Min) your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka); indeed, HE (Innahu) is (Huwa) the HEARER (Es' Samiiu), the OMNISCIENT (El' Äliim).

44:7  LORD (Rabbi) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them both (Bai'nahumaa), if (In) you should be (Kuntum) certain (Muuqiniin).

44:8  There is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), HE gives life (Yuh'yii) and (Wa) causes death (Yumiitu); your LORD (Rabbu-kum) and LORD (Rabbu) of your forefathers (Aabaai-kumul' Awwaliin).

44:9  But rather (Bal') they (Hum') are in (Fii) doubt (Shakkin), playing (Yal'äbuun).

44:10  So (Fa) keep watching (Er'taqib') for the day (Yaw'ma) the sky (Es'Samaau) will bring (Ya'tii Bi) a clear (Mubiin) smoke (Dukhaanin)*,

44:11  covering (Yag'shaa) the people (En'Naasa); this (Haaza) is a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabun).

44:12  "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), bare (Ek'shif') the punishment (El'Äzaaba) from us (Ännaa); indeed, we (Innaa) will be believers (Mu'minuun)."

44:13  How (Annaa) will they have (Lahumu) the Remembrance (Ez'Zik'raa) while (Wa) a clear (Mubiin) messenger (Rasuulun) had (Qad') come to them (Jaa'a-hum’)

44:14  and (Thumma) they turned away (Tawallaw') from him (Än'hu) and (Wa) said (Qaalu'), "A crazy (Maj'nuun) teacher (Muällamun)"?

44:15  Indeed, We (Innaa) will bare (Kaashifu') the punishment (El'Äzaabi) for a while (Qaliilan). Indeed, you (Innakum’) will return (repeat) (Ää'iduun).

44:16  The day (Yaw'ma) We will strike (Nab'tishu) with the greatest (El'Kub'raa) strike (El'Bat'shata); indeed, We (Innaa) will retaliate (Muntaqimuun).

44:17  And (Wa) We had certainly (Laqad') tested (Fatannaa) the people (Qaw'ma) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) before them (Qab'lahum’), and (Wa) a noble (Kariim) messenger (Rasuulun) came to them (Jaa'a-hum),

44:18  that (An'), "Lead (Adduu') the servants of GOD (Ebaada-llahi) to me (ilayya). Indeed, I am (Innii) an honest (Amiin) messenger (Rasuulun) to you (Lakum’),

44:19  that (An) do not (Laa) be haughty (Ta'lu') to GOD (Älaallahi). Indeed, I (Moses) have (Innii) come to you (Aatii-kum) with (Bi) clear (Mubiin) authority (Sul'toanin).

44:20  "And (Wa) indeed, I have (Innii) sought protection (Äz'tu) with (Bi) my LORD (Rabbii) and your LORD (Rabbi-kum’), lest (An) you stone me (Tar'jumuuni).

44:21  "But (Wa) if (In) you do not (Lam') believe me (Tu'minu' Lii), then (Fa) dissociate from me (E'taziluuni)."

44:22  So (Fa) he (Moses) invoked (Da'ää) his LORD (Rabba-hu) that (Anna), "These (Haaulaai) people (Qaw'mun) are criminals (Muj'rimuun)."

44:23  It was said "So (Fa) travel with (As'ri Bi) MY servants (Ebaadiya) at night (Lai'lan); indeed, you (Innakum) will be pursued (Muttabauun).

44:24  "And (Wa) leave (Et'ruki) the sea (El'Bah'ra) quietly (Rah'waan). Indeed, they (Innahum) as an army (Jundun) will be drowned (Mug'raquun)."

44:25  How much (Kam') they left (Taraku') of (Min) gardens (Jannaatin) and (Wa) springs (Uyuun),

44:26  as well as (Wa) cultivations (Zuruu'en) and (Wa) an honourable (Kariim) place (Maqaamin),

44:27  as (Wa) comfort (Na'matin) wherein (Fiiha) they were (Kaanu') merrymaking (Faakihiin)?

44:28  Thus (Kazaalika), We caused other (Aakhariin) people (Qaw'man) to inherit it (-Aw'rath'naa-haa).

44:29  And (Fa) neither (Maa) did the heaven (Es'Samaau) and the earth (Wal' Ar'du) weep (-Bakat') for them (Älai'himu), nor (Wamaa) were (Kaanu') they respited (Munzoriin).

44:30  And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') rescued (Najjai'naa) the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila) from (Mina) the humiliating (El'Muhiin) punishment (El'Äzaabi)

44:31  from (Min) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na). Indeed, he (Innahu) was (Kaana) supreme (Ääliyan) among (Mina) the profligates (El'Mus'rifiin).

44:32  And (Wa) We certainly (Laqadi) chose them (Ekh'tar'naa-hum’) by (Älaa) knowledge (il'min) over (Älaa) all people (El'Äälamiin). (2:47)

44:33  And (Wa) We gave them (Aatai'naa-hum) some of (Mina) the signs (El'Aayaati) wherein (Maa Fiihi) was a clear (Mubiin) trial (Balaa'un).

44:34  Indeed (Inna), these people (Haaulaai) are (La) saying (Yaquuluun),

44:35  "There is (Hiya) only (In' illa) our (-naa) first (El'Uulaa) death (Maw'tatu-), and (Wa) we (Nah'nu) will not (Maa Bi) be resurrected (Munshariin)!

44:36  "So (Fa) bring (Etu' Bi) our ancestors (Aabaai-naa), if (In) you should be (Kuntum) truthful (Soadiqiin)!”

44:37  Are (A-) they (-hum') better (Khai'run) or (Am') the people (Qaw'mu) of Tuba (50:14) (Tubba'en) and (Wa) those (Ellaziina) before them (Min Qab'li-him)? We annihilated them (Ah'lak'naa-hum'); indeed, they (Innahum) were (Kaanu') criminals (Muj'rimiin).

44:38  And (Wa) We did not (Maa) create (Khalaq'na) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them (Bai'nahumaa) to play (Laa'ebiin).

44:39  We only (Maa illa) created them both (Khalaq'naa-humaa) for the truth (Bil' Haqqi), but (Walaakinna) most of them (Ak'thara-hum) do not (Laa) know (Ya'lamuun). (46:3)

44:40  Indeed (Inna), the Day of Decisiveness (Yaw'mal' Fas'li) is their appointed time (Miiqaatu-hum') all together (Aj'ma'een).

44:41  It is the day (Yaw'ma) no (Laa) heir (Maw'lan) will avail (Yug'nii) another heir (Maw'lan) at all (Shai'an), nor (Walaa) will they (Hum') be helped (Yunsoruun),

44:42  except (illa) those who (Man) attain the mercy of GOD (Rahima-llahu). Indeed, HE (Innahu) is (Huwa) the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim).

44:43  Indeed (Inna), the tree (Shajarata) of bitterness (Ez'Zaqquum) (37:62-66)

44:44  is the food (Toäämu) of the sinful (El'Athiim).

44:45  Like (Ka) molten brass (El'Muh'li), boiling (Yag'lii) in (Fii) the bellies (El'Butuun)

44:46  as (Ka) the boiling (Gal'yi) of magma (El'Hamiim),

44:47  (it will be said) "Seize him (Khuzuu-hu) and (Fa) throw him (E'tiluu-hu) into (ilaa) the square (Sawaai) of Hell (El'Jahiim),

44:48  then (Thumma) pour (Subbu') from (Min') the torment (Äzaabi) of magma (El'Hamiim) over (Faw'qa) his head (Ra'si-hi),

44:49  taste (Zuq')! Indeed (Innaka), you (the criminal) (Anta) were the almighty (El'Äziizu) and the honourable (El'Kariim)!

44:50  "Indeed (Inna), this (Haaza) is what (Maa) you used to (Kuntum) dispute (Tam'taruun) about (Bihi)."

44:51  Indeed (Inna), the pious (El'Muttaqiina) will be in (Fii) a safe (Amiin) place (Maqaamin);

44:52  in (Fii) gardens (Jannaatin) with (Wa) springs (Uyuun),

44:53  wearing (dressing) (Yal'basuuna) from (Min) silk fabric (Sundusin) and (Wa) brocade (Is'tab'raqin), facing each other (Mutaqaabiliin).

44:54  Thus (Kazaalika), and (Wa) We will couple them (Zawwaj'naa-hum) with (Bi) houri (Huurin) assistants (Een).

44:55  They will request (Yad'uuna Bi) all (Kulli) fruits (Faakihatin) therein (Fiihaa), safely (Aaminiin).

44:56  They will not (Laa) taste (Yazuuquuna) death (El'Maw'ta) therein (Fiihaa) except (illa) the first (previous) (El'Uulaa) death (El'Maw'tata), and (Wa) HE (God) will safeguard them from (Waqaa-hum') the punishment (Äzaaba) of Hell (El'Jahiim),

44:57  as favour (Fad'lan) from (Min) your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka). That (Zaalika) is (Huwa) a great (El'Äziim) achievement (El'Faw'zu).

44:58  And (Fa) We have only (Innamaa) made it easy (-Yassar'naa-hu) in (Bi) your tongue (19:97) (Lisaani-ka) perhaps they (Laällahum') will take heed (Yatazakkaruun).

44:59  So (Fa) keep watching (Er'taqib'); indeed, they (Innahum) are watching (anticipating) (Mur'taqibuun).
