32:2
A revelation of the timeless Book, no doubt whatsoever therein, from the
Rabb of all realms.
32:3
Or do they say, “He fabricated it?” Nay, it is the Truth from
your Rabb, so
you may warn a people, to whom no warner has come before
you, to enable them to be rightly guided.
32:4
Allah is
WHO created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between the two, in six [heavenly]
days. Beyond that, HE set HIS attributes to reign over all manifestation. You have no protector, or intercessor besides
HIM. Will you still not mindfully reflect?
32:5
HE ushers [into the matrix of time and place] the Command from the heavens to the earth. Thereafter it is to ascend to
HIM in a day, the measure of which, is a thousand periods of whatever you count.
32:6
That for you is the knower of the unseeable and the witnessed, the almighty, the ever merciful.
32:7
HE WHO gave beauty to everything
HE created, and
HE initiated the creation of man with clay.
32:8
Then
HE made his race from an extract of an unremarkable fluid.
32:9
Then
HE proportioned him and breathed
HIS Spirit in him. And
HE assigned to you your hearing, your sight, and your intellect. Scarcely are you grateful.
32:10
And they say, “What! After we are lost in the earth, shall we really be in a new creation?” Nay! They are ungrateful disbelievers of a meeting of their
Rabb.
32:11
Say, “The Angel of death, will collect you— the one who has been entrusted with you. Then unto your
Rabb you will be returned.”
32:12
If
you could see when the flouters of divine guidance, their heads hanging in shame are, in the presence of their
Rabb [pleading], “Our
Rabb, we have seen and we have heard, so send us back, and we will act righteously. Indeed [now], we are entirely certain.
32:13
Had
WE so willed,
WE could have granted every soul its guidance, but the Word from
ME has stood due: Of certain and categorically,
I will fill
Jahannam with
Jinn and humankind, all included.
32:14
So, taste [your abandonment], because of your forgetting the meeting of this day of yours. Now indeed
WE have abandoned you. Taste the punishment of immortality on account of what you were doing.
32:15
Only they believe in OUR signs who when reminded of them fall in prostration and elevate their consciousness celebrating the praise of their Rabb. They do not misconstrue and inflate their own worth. ۩
32:16
They abandon the comfort of their beds, seeking their
Rabb, in fear and aspiration, and spend [in the way of God] from what
WE have provided as sustenance for them.
32:17
[With Faith], for no soul knows what solace of the eyes remains hidden for them, as recompense for what they were doing.
32:18
Is then one who is a believer ever like one who is iniquitous? They do not match up.
32:19
As for those who have embraced Faith and had done the right deeds, for them are the shelter’s gardens for their welcoming on account of what they were doing.
32:20
As for the ones who acted iniquitously, their shelter is the fire. Each time they intended to exit therefrom, they were made to start over therein. And it was said to them, “Partake of the punishment of the fire, that which you were wont to denying.”
32:21
WE shall most certainly make them taste the lesser punishment [of the world], short of the greater punishment, to give them an opportunity to turn back [in repentance and avoid the greater punishment].
32:22
And who does more wrong than one who has been persistently reminded of the signs of his
Rabb, yet he turns away from them? Of certain
WE are to exact retribution from the flouters of divine guidance.
32:23
WE did bestow the timeless Book [of Scripture] on Moses. So do not be in any unsettled doubt about its [i.e., the Quran’s destined] rendezvous [with
you]. And
WE had appointed it as guidance for the children of Israel.
32:24
And
WE made from among them leaders providing guidance by
OUR command— the while they persevered and had faith certain in
OUR signs.
32:25
Of certain,
your Rabb will decide between them on the Day of Judgment, in that which they differ.
32:26
Is it not instructive for them: How many generations
WE have destroyed who lived before them, [given that] they walk through their dwellings? Verily, in that are [speaking] signs. Do they not listen?
32:27
Do they not see that
WE channel the water toward the barren land and therewith
WE bring forth crops, from which their cattle eat and they themselves as well? Do they not see?
32:28
They say, “When will this take place— the unlocking [of the Truth], if you are truthful?”
32:29
Say, “On the day of the unlocking [of the Truth], the faith of the ones who had disbelieved will not benefit them nor will they be granted respite.”
32:30
Hence turn away from them and bide. Surely, they are biders.
