| 77:1 | | By those sent forth in succession, |
| 77:2 | | by the violently gusting blasts, |
| 77:3 | | by the scatterers scattering, |
| 77:4 | | by the winnowers winnowing, |
| 77:5 | | by those hurling a reminder, |
| 77:6 | | excusing or warning, |
| 77:7 | | what you are promised will certainly happen. |
| 77:8 | | When the stars are extinguished, |
| 77:9 | | when heaven is split open, |
| 77:10 | | when the mountains are pulverised, |
| 77:11 | | when the Messengers´ time is appointed — |
| 77:12 | | until what day is that deferred? |
| 77:13 | | Until the Day of Decision. |
| 77:14 | | And what will teach you what the Day of Decision is? |
| 77:15 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:16 | | Did We not destroy the earlier peoples, |
| 77:17 | | then succeed them with later ones? |
| 77:18 | | That is how We deal with evildoers. |
| 77:19 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:20 | | Did We not create you from a base fluid, |
| 77:21 | | then place it in a secure repository |
| 77:22 | | for a recognised term? |
| 77:23 | | It is We who determine. What an excellent Determiner! |
| 77:24 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:25 | | Did We not make the earth a receptacle |
| 77:26 | | for the living and the dead? |
| 77:27 | | Did We not place firmly embedded mountains in it, soaring high into the air, and give you sweet fresh water to drink? |
| 77:28 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:29 | | Proceed to that which you denied! |
| 77:30 | | Proceed to a shadow which forks into three |
| 77:31 | | but gives no shade or protection from the flames, |
| 77:32 | | shooting up great sparks the size of castles, |
| 77:33 | | like a herd of yellow camels. |
| 77:34 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:35 | | This is the Day they will not say a single word, |
| 77:36 | | nor will they be allowed to offer any excuses. |
| 77:37 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:38 | | ´This is the Day of Decision. We have gathered you and the earlier peoples. |
| 77:39 | | So if you have a ploy, use it against Me now!´ |
| 77:40 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:41 | | The people with taqwa will be amid shade and fountains |
| 77:42 | | and have any fruits that they desire: |
| 77:43 | | ´Eat and drink with relish for what you did. |
| 77:44 | | This is the way We reward good-doers.´ |
| 77:45 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:46 | | ´Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while. You are evildoers.´ |
| 77:47 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:48 | | When they are told to bow, they do not bow. |
| 77:49 | | On that Day, woe to the deniers! |
| 77:50 | | In what discourse after this, then, will they have iman? |
