Abdul Hye rendition of Surah The Kneeling, Crouching(al-Jathiyah)
---
45:1 Ha-Mim.
45:2 The revelation of the book (this Qur’an) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
45:3 Surely, in the heavens and the earth there are signs for the believers,
45:4 in your own creation and that of moving creatures which He has scattered (through the earth), there are signs for people who have firm faith
45:5 and in the alternation of the night and the day, in the provision that Allah sends down from the sky and revives with it the earth after its death and in the turning of the winds, there are signs for those people who understand.
45:6 These are the revelations of Allah, which We recite to you (O Muhammad) with truth. Then in which report after Allah and His revelations, will they believe?
45:7 Woe to every sinful liar
45:8 before whom the revelations of Allah are recited, yet persists with pride as if it did not hear them. So announce a painful punishment to them!
45:9 And when one learns something of Our Revelations (this Qur’an), it takes them as a joke. For such people, there will be a humiliating punishment.
45:10 In front of them there is hell, and nothing of what they have earned (in this world) will be of any benefit to them, nor those whom they have taken as protectors besides Allah. They will have a great punishment.
45:11 This (Qur’an) is guidance. Those who disbelieve in the revelations of their Lord, there will be a terrible painful punishment for them.
45:12 Allah, it is He Who has subjected the sea to you, so that the ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek His Bounty and you may be thankful,
45:13 and has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; all from Him. Surely, there are signs for those people who think deeply in it.
45:14 Say (O Muhammad) to those who have believed, to forgive those who don’t hope for the (bad) days from Allah, so that He may recompense those people according to what they have earned.
45:15 Whoever does a good deed, it is for its own self; and whoever does evil, it is against it (own self). Then you will be made to return to your Lord.
45:16 And indeed We gave the Scripture to the children of Israel, the understanding of the Scripture, and the Prophethood, and provided them with good things of life, and preferred them above all the worlds (during that time),
45:17 and gave them clear proofs of matters (revealed in the Torah). They did not differ until after the knowledge had come to them, through transgression among themselves. Surely, Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about which they used to differ.
45:18 Then We have put you (O Muhammad) on the plain Way of (Our) commandment. So follow it (Islam) and don’t follow the desires of those who don’t know;
45:19 surely, they can avail you nothing against Allah. Surely, the wrongdoers are friends of one another, while Allah is the protector of the pious people.
45:20 This (Qur’an) is a clear insight and evidence for mankind; guidance and a Mercy for those who have firm faith.
45:21 Or do those evil doers think that We shall make them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds, in their present life and after their death? Worst is the judgment that they make!
45:22 And Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth, in order that each person may be recompensed what it has earned, and none of them will be wronged.
45:23 Have you seen the one who has taken its own desires as worthy of worship? And Allah lets it astray upon knowing, and sealed over its hearing and its heart, and put a cover on its sight. Who then will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn)? Will you not then remember?
45:24 And they (disbelievers) say: “There is nothing but our life of this world. We die and we live, nothing but time destroys us.” They have no knowledge of it, verily they are only guessing.
45:25 And when Our clear revelations are recited to them, their argument is not except that they say: “Bring back our dead forefathers if you are truthful!”
45:26 (O Muhammad) say (to them): “Allah gives you life and then causes you to die; then He will assemble you to the Day of Resurrection. There is no doubt about it. But most people don’t know.”
45:27 And to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. On the Day when the Hour (of judgment) will be established, the followers of falsehood shall lose on that Day.
45:28 And you will see every nation humbled to its knees. Each nation will be called to its Record (of deeds). (It will be said): “This Day you shall be recompensed for what you used to do.
45:29 This Our record speaks about you with truth. Surely, We were recording (by angels) what you used to do.”
45:30 Then, as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His Mercy. That will be the clear success.
45:31 But as for those who disbelieved (it will be said to them): “Were not Our Revelations recited to you? But you were proud and became a nation of criminals.”
45:32 And when it was said: “Surely! Allah’s Promise is true and there is no doubt about the Hour (of judgment).” You used to say: ‘We don’t know what is the Hour (of Judgment); we think it only as a guess, and we have no firm convincing belief.’”
45:33 And the evil of their deeds will appear to them and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!
45:34 And it will be said: “This Day We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours. Your abode will be the fire, and there will be no helper for you.
45:35 This is because you used to take the revelations of Allah (this Qur’an) as a joke and the life of the world deceived you.” So this Day neither they shall be taken out from there (hell), nor shall they be allowed excuses (to amend their ways to please Allah).
45:36 So all the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of the heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the worlds.
45:37 And to Him belongs the Majesty in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
