| Arabic | | فَلْيُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ يَشْرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالْآخِرَةِ وَمَن يُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيُقْتَلْ أَوْ يَغْلِبْ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمً |  |

| the life | l-ḥayata | الْحَيَوةَ | ح ى ى | |
| (of) the world | l-dun'yā | الدُّنْيَا | د ن و | |
| for the Hereafter. | bil-ākhirati | بِالْءَاخِرَةِ | ا خ ر | |
| And whoever | waman | وَمَنْ | م ن | |
| fights | yuqātil | يُقَاتِلْ | ق ت ل | |
| (the) way | sabīli | سَبِيلِ | س ب ل | |
| (of) Allah, | l-lahi | اللَّهِ | ا ل ه | |
| then he is killed | fayuq'tal | فَيُقْتَلْ | ق ت ل | |
| achieves victory | yaghlib | يَغْلِبْ | غ ل ب | |
| then soon | fasawfa | فَسَوْفَ | س و ف | |
| We will grant him | nu'tīhi | نُؤْتِيهِ | ا ت ى | |
| a reward | ajran | أَجْرًا | ا ج ر | |
| a great. | ʿaẓīman | عَظِيمًا | ع ظ م | |
