60:1  O you who believe, do not take my enemies and yours, as friends, offering them your love, because they have rejected the truth that has come to you, and have driven out the messenger and yourselves, because you believe in God, your Lord. And because you have come out to strive in My way, and to seek My favor. Thus do not hold secret conversations, nor keep ties and friendships with them, for I know all that you conceal and all that you reveal. And any of you who does this has strayed from the straight path
60:2  If they were to gain dominance over you, they would behave as enemies to you, and lash out their hands and their tongues against you wrongfully, and they desire that you should reject the truth
60:3  Of no profit to you will be your relatives and your children on the Day of Accountability. He will judge between you, for God sees well all that you do
60:4  There is for you an excellent example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We are clear of you and of whatever you worship besides God. We have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred forever, unless you believe in God, and Him alone”. Except when Abraham said to his father, “I will pray for forgiveness for you, though I have no power on your behalf from God, “Our Lord, in You do we trust, and to You do we turn in repentance, to You is our final goal.
60:5  “Our Lord, do not make us a trial for the unbelievers, but forgive us Our Lord, for You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
60:6  Indeed there is in them an excellent example for you to follow, for those whose hope is in God and in the Last Day. But if any turn away, truly God is free of all want, worthy of all praise
60:7  It may be that God will grant love and friendship between you and those whom you hold as enemies, for God has power over all things, and God is Oft-Forgiving, Mercifully Redeeming
60:8  God does not forbid you, with regard to those who do not fight you because of your faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them, for God loves those who are just
60:9  God only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for your faith, and drive you out of your homes, or help in driving you out, from turning to them. It is those who turn to them who do wrong
60:10  O you who believe, when there comes to you believing women who are refugees, test them. God knows best as to their faith. If you think that they are believers, then do not send them back to the unbelievers. They are not permissible wives for the unbelievers, nor are the unbelievers permissible husbands for them. But pay the unbelievers what they have given for dowries, and there will be no blame on you if you marry them on payment of their dowry to them. But do not hold on to ties to unbelieving women. Ask for what you have given as their dowries, and let the unbelievers ask for what they have given as dowries. Such is the command of God. He judges between you, and God is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom
60:11  And if any of your wives desert you, and go to the unbelievers, and your turn comes, then pay to those whose wives have left, the equivalent of what they had given as their dowry, and be conscious of God, in Whom you believe
60:12  O messenger, when believing women come to you, and promise that they will not associate in worship any other thing with God, that they will not steal, that they will not have impermissible sex, that they will not kill their children, that they will not commit slander to intentionally misrepresent and deceive, and that they will not ignore you in what they know to be right, then take their word, and pray to God for their forgiveness, for God is Oft-Forgiving, Mercifully Redeeming
60:13  O you who believe, do not turn to the people on whom is the punishment of God. Of the hereafter they are already in despair, just as the unbelievers are in despair of the companions of the graves
