5:1  O you who believe! Fulfill your obligations. Lawful to you (for food) are beasts of cattle except what is hereby recited to you. You are not allowed to hunt while you are in state of Ihram (Pilgrimage). Surely, Allah commands what He wills.
5:2  O you who believe! Don’t violate (the sanctity of the) symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals (brought for sacrifice), nor of the garlanded (animals marked for security), nor the people coming to the Sacred House (Makkah) seeking the Bounty of their Lord and good pleasure. When you finish the Ihram (Pilgrimage), you may hunt. Let not the hatred of some people, who once stopped you from the Sacred Masjid (at Makkah), lead you to transgress. You help one another in righteousness and piety; and don’t help one another in sin and transgression. Fear Allah. Surely, Allah is Severe in punishment.
5:3  Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead animal’s meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and what has been slaughtered as a sacrifice to other than Allah, (killed by) strangling and by a violent blow, and by a headlong fall, and by the goring of horns, and that devoured (partly eaten) by a beast except that slaughtered by you (before its death), and what slaughtered on altars (elevated places for sacrifice), and that you seek knowledge of your fate by dividing arrows. All these are sins (disobedience of Allah). This Day, those who have given up all hope, disbelieved of your religion. So you don’t fear them, but fear Me. This Day, I have perfected for you your religion, completed upon you My Favor, and has approved for you Islam as your religion. Whoever is forced by hunger, not inclined to sin (not eaten forbidden food), then surely, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
5:4  They ask you (Muhammad) what is lawful for them (as food). Say: “Lawful are made to you pure good things. What you have taught to hunting animals (beasts and birds of prey) train them for hunting; you teach them what (knowledge) Allah has taught you. So you may eat what they catch for you, but invoke the name of Allah on it, and fear Allah. Surely, Allah is Swift in reckoning.”
5:5  This Day made lawful to you are pure good things. Food of those who have been given the Scripture is lawful to you and your food is lawful to them. (Lawful to marry) chaste women from the believing women and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have given them their bridal due (given by husband to his wife at the time of marriage) desiring chastity not lewdness (illegal sex), nor taking them as secret companions (girl friends). Whosoever disbelieves in faith, their work will go to waste, and they will be in the Hereafter among the losers.
5:6  O you who believe! When you stand up for the prayer, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, you wipe your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles. If you are (in state of) Janaba (had sexual discharge), then purify yourself (take full bath). If you are ill or on a journey or one has come out from the toilet, or you have been in sexual contact (with wives), make Tayammum if you don’t find water, then look for clean earth and you wipe your faces and hands with it. Allah does not want to lay upon you any hardship, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favor upon you so that you may be thankful.
5:7  You remember the Favor of Allah upon you and His covenant that He bound you with it when you said: “We hear and we obey.” You fear Allah. Surely, Allah is All-Knower of what is in your hearts.
5:8  O you who believe! Be steadfast for Allah as witnesses in equity and let not enmity of people drive you to avoid justice, deal justly. That is nearer to piety, and fear Allah. Surely, Allah is Well-Aware of what you do.
5:9  Allah has promised to those who believe and do good deeds, for them is forgiveness and great reward.
5:10  Those who disbelieve and deny Our Verses, they will be companions of hellfire.
5:11  O you who believe! Remember the Favor of Allah upon you when some people decided (made a plan) that they stretch (harm) you with their hands, but (Allah) held back their hands from you. So fear Allah. In Allah let the believers put their trust.
5:12  Surely Allah took a covenant from the children of Israel, and We appointed among them 12 leaders. And Allah said: “Certainly I am with you if you establish the prayer, you pay obligatory charity, you believe in My Messengers, you assist them, and you lend to Allah a good loan (spend in charity). Surely, I will wipe out from you your evil deeds, and will surely admit you to gardens under them the rivers flow (in Paradise). But whoever disbelieved after this among you, indeed he has gone astray from Right Way.”
5:13  Then for their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts hard. They changed the words from their right context and they forgot a part of message what they were cautioned of it. You will not cease to discover treachery from them, except a few of them. But forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds). Surely, Allah loves those who do good deeds.
5:14  And from those who said we are Christians, We took their covenant, but they forgot a good part of that message they were cautioned of it. So We aroused among them enmity and hatred till Day of Resurrection, and Allah will inform them of what they used to do.
5:15  O people of the Scripture! Indeed Our Messenger (Muhammad) has come to you, he makes clear to you much of that you used to conceal from the Scripture and passes over much. Surely, there has come to you from Allah a light (Muhammad) and a clear book (the Qur’an)
5:16  Allah guides with it those who seek His good pleasure ways of peace, and He brings them out from the darkness to the light by His will and guides them to the Right Way.
5:17  Surely, those who disbelief say: “Surely Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary.” Say (O Muhammad): “Who then has power against Allah, if He decides that Allah will destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, his mother, and those who are all on the earth? To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and what is between them. He creates what He wills. And Allah is Powerful over everything.”
5:18  The Jews and the Christians say: “We are the children of Allah and His loved ones.” Say: “Why then He punishes you for your sins? But you are human being from those He created, He forgives whom He wills and He punishes whom He wills. To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and to Him is the return.”
5:19  O people of the Scripture! Surely, has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad), he makes things clear to you, after an interval of the Messengers, lest you say: “There has not come to us a bearer of glad tidings and not a Warner.” But surely now has come to you a bearer of glad tidings and a Warner. Allah is Powerful over everything.
5:20  And (remember) when Moses said to his people: “O my people! You remember the Favor of Allah upon you. When He raised prophets among you, and made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any one of the worlds.
5:21  O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah has ordained for you, and you don’t turn on your backs, then you will turn as losers.”
5:22  They said: “O Moses! Surely, in the holy land are people of great strength, and we shall never enter it until they depart from it. If they depart from it, then we will enter it.”
5:23  2 frightened men on whom (Joshua and Caleb) Allah had favored (His Grace) said: “Enter (assault) upon them through the gate, and if you enter it, then indeed you will be victorious, and put your trust in Allah if you are believers.”
5:24  They said: "O Moses! We shall not even enter it as long as they are in it. So both you and your Lord go and you 2 fight, and we are sitting right here.”
5:25  He (Moses) said: “O my Lord! I don’t have control except on myself and my brother. So distinguish between us and between the disobedient people!”
5:26  (Allah) said: “Indeed it (the holy land) is forbidden to them for 40 years; they will wander (in disruption) in the earth. So you don’t grieve over the disobedient people.”
5:27  (O Muhammad) recite to them the story of 2 sons of Adam (Abel and Cain) in truth; when both offered a sacrifice (to Allah), and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. He (latter) said (to the former): “Surely I will kill you.” He (former) said: “Surely, Allah accepts only from the pious
5:28  If you stretch your hand against me so that you kill me, I shall not stretch my hand against you so that I kill you, for I fear Allah; the Lord of the worlds.
5:29  Surely, I desire that you be laden with my sin and your sin, and you become inmate of the fire, and that is the reward of the wrongdoers.”
5:30  Then his evil soul prompted him killing of his brother; and he killed him and became one of the losers.
5:31  Then Allah sent a crow scratching in the earth so that it shows him how he may hide dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: “Woe to me! Am I not even able that I could be like this crow and could hide dead body of my brother?” Then he became from those who regretted.
5:32  Because of that We ordained for children of Israel that whoever kills a person, except (as a punishment) for killing a person or for mischief in the earth, (it will be written) as if killed all mankind. Whoever saves a life, as if saves life of all mankind. Surely, Our Messengers came to them with clear signs, yet indeed many of them after that are those who committed excesses in the earth!
5:33  The only recompense of those who wage war against Allah, His Messenger, and spread mischief in the earth is that they are killed or they are crucified or their hands and their feet are cut off from opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is disgrace for them in this world, and a great punishment in the Hereafter
5:34  except those who repent before you have power over them; so you should know that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
5:35  O you who believe! You fear Allah, you seek (the means of) approach to Him, and you strive hard in His Way so that you may succeed.
5:36  Surely, those who disbelieve, if they have all that is in the earth, and as much as like therewith to ransom themselves from punishment on the Day of Resurrection, it will not be accepted from them, and for them is a painful punishment.
5:37  They will wish that they come out of the fire, but they will not come out of it, and for them is a lasting punishment.
5:38  You cut off their hands of male and female thief, as a recompense for what they have earned, an exemplary punishment from Allah. And Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise.
5:39  But whoever repents after him (with forgiveness). Surely, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
5:40  Do you not know that to Allah alone belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills and He forgives whom He wills. And Allah is All-Powerful over every thing.
5:41  O Messenger (Muhammad)! Let not grieve you those who race each other into disbelief, of those who say: “We believe” with their mouths but their hearts don’t believe. Of those who have become Jews are listeners to falsehood, listeners to other people who have not come to you. They change the words from their context; they say: “If you are given this, you take it, but if you are not given this, then beware!” Whom Allah wills, falls into error, and you will never be able to do anything for him against Allah. Those are the ones whom Allah does not want to purify their hearts; for them there is disgrace in this world, and for them there is a great punishment in the Hereafter.
5:42  They are listeners to falsehood, devourers of forbidden earnings. If they come to you (O Muhammad), then either judge between them, or turn away from them. If you turn away from them, then they will never harm you anything. If you judge, then judge between them with justice. Surely, Allah loves the just.
5:43  But how they appoint you a judge while they have with them the Torah, in which there is the decision of Allah? Even after that, they turn away. Those are not believers.
5:44  Surely, We have sent down the Torah (to Moses), wherein was guidance and light. The Prophets used to judge with it, whoever had submitted (to Allah) from those became Jews, so did scholars and Rabbis. They were entrusted the protection of the Book of Allah, and they were witnesses to it. So you don’t fear the people but fear Me, and you don’t sell My Verses for a little price. Whoever does not judge by what Allah has sent down; those are indeed the disbelievers.
5:45  And Allah ordained for them in it (Torah) that: “Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds for retribution.” So whoever gives it up, it will be a compensation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has sent down; those are they who are the wrongdoers.
5:46  And We sent in their foot steps, Jesus, son of Mary, confirming what had come before him from the Torah, and We gave him the Gospel in which was guidance and light, and confirming what has come before him from the Torah, guidance, and an admonition for the pious.
5:47  Let people of the Gospel judge by what Allah has sent down in it. Whoever does not judge by what Allah has sent down; those are they who are the transgressors.
5:48  And We have sent down to you (Muhammad) the book (this Qur’an) in truth, confirming what came before it from the book and a watcher over it which has come to you from the truth. We have prescribed for each of you a law and a clear way. If Allah willed, He could have made you one nation, but to test you in what He has given you; so strive one with another in good deeds. To Allah is all of your return; then He will inform you about what you used to differ in it.
5:49  And you (Muhammad) judge between them by what Allah has revealed and you don’t follow their desires, and beware of them lest they seduce you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. If they turn away, then you know that only the wish of Allah is to punish them for some of their sins. Truly, many of the people are transgressors.
5:50  Do they seek the judgment of ignorance? Who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who have firm faith?
5:51  O you who believe! You don’t take the Jews and the Christians as allies, some of them are allies of others. Anyone of you takes them as allies, then he will be counted as one of them. Surely, Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.
5:52  And you see those in whose hearts there is a disease (of hypocrisy), they hurry to them, saying: “We fear that a misfortune may befall us.” Perhaps that Allah brings a victory or a decision from His will, then they will become regretful on what they have concealed in themselves.
5:53  Those who believe will say: “Are these the ones (hypocrites) who swore by Allah of their strongest oaths that they are with you (Muslims)?” Their deeds have gone to waste (because of hypocrisy), and they have become the losers.
5:54  O you who believe! Whoever among you turns back from religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, strict towards the disbelievers, strive in the Way of Allah, and will not fear blame of a critic. That is the Grace of Allah, He grants whom He wills. Allah is All-Sufficient in resources, All-Knower.
5:55  Your only friend is Allah, His Messenger, and those who believe - those who establish the prayer, give obligatory charity, and they are those who bow down.
5:56  Whoever takes as friends: Allah, His Messenger, and those who have believe, then the party of Allah will be victorious.
5:57  O you who believe! You don’t take as allies, those from among the people who were given the Scripture before you and the disbelievers, who have take your religion for mockery and fun. Fear Allah if you are true believers.
5:58  When you call for prayer, they take it for a mockery and fun; because they are a people who don’t understand.
5:59  Say: “O people of the Scripture! Are you opposing us except that we believe in Allah, and what has been sent to us and what was sent before us? Indeed most of you are transgressors.”
5:60  Say (O Muhammad): “Shall I inform you of those worse than that regarding recompense from Allah? They are those whom Allah has cursed, who have incurred His Wrath, and He had transformed some of them to monkeys and swine; who worshipped false deities; those are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection), and more astray from the Right Way."
5:61  When they come to you, they say: “We believe.” But in fact they enter with disbelief and surely they go out with it. Allah knows what they are hiding.
5:62  You see many of them hurrying in sin and transgression, and eating the forbidden earnings. Evil indeed is what they do.
5:63  Why don’t the Rabbis and the scholars forbid them from their uttering sinful words and from their eating forbidden things? Evil indeed is what they have been performing.
5:64  The Jews say: “Hands of Allah is tied up.” Their own hands are tied up and they are cursed for what they have said. But His hands are outspread. He spends Bounty as He wills. Surely, the revelation that has come to you from your Lord increases their rebellion and disbelief. We have cast among them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection. Whenever they kindled fire of war, Allah extinguished it; and they always strive on earth to spread mischief. And Allah does not like the mischief-makers.
5:65  And if the people of the Scripture had believed and become pious, We would surely have wiped out from them their sins and would have surely admitted them to gardens of bliss (Paradise).
5:66  And if they had observed the Torah and the Gospel, and what has been sent to them from their Lord (the Qur’an), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them are moderate people (on right course), and many of them are evil what they are doing.
5:67  O Messenger (Muhammad)! Convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord. If you don’t do it, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from the people. Surely, Allah does not guide the disbelievers.
5:68  Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture! You are not on anything (guided) till you observe the Torah and the Gospel, and what has been sent down to you from your Lord (the Qur’an).” Certainly this revelation (the Qur’an) which has come to you from your Lord will increase in many of them in rebellion and disbelief. So don’t grieve over the disbelievers.
5:69  Surely, those who believe (Muslims) and those who became Jews and the Sabians and the Christians - whoever believed in Allah and the Last Day, and did good deeds, no fear shall be on them, nor they shall grieve.
5:70  Surely, We took covenant of children of Israel and sent to them Messengers. Whenever a Messenger came to them with what not liked by them, some of them denied him, and some of them killed him.
5:71  They thought that there will be no trial, so they became blind and deaf; then Allah turned to them (with forgiveness); but again many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is All-Seer of what they do.
5:72  Surely, those who disbelieved, say: “Indeed Allah is the Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary.” But the Messiah (Jesus) said: “O children of Israel! You worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Surely, whoever sets partners with Allah, then indeed Allah has forbidden Paradise, and its abode will be the fire. There are no helpers for the wrongdoers.
5:73  Surely, those who disbelieved said: “Indeed Allah is 3rd of 3 (in Trinity).” But there is no one worthy of worship except One (Allah). If they don’t cease from what they say, surely a painful punishment will befall those who disbelieve among them.
5:74  Will not then they turn (in repentance) to Allah and ask for His forgiveness? Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
5:75  The Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary, is not except a Messenger. Certainly the Messengers have passed away before him. His mother (Mary) was a woman of truth. They both used to eat the food (as any other human). See how We make the Verses clear to them and see how they are deceived away (from the truth).
5:76  Say (O Muhammad): “Do you worship besides Allah something which has neither power for your harm nor for your benefit? Indeed, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.”
5:77  Say (O Muhammad): “O people of the Scripture! You don’t exceed limits in your religion other than the truth, you don’t follow desires of people who certainly went astray before, they misled many, and strayed from the Right Way.”
5:78  Those who disbelieved from the children of Israel were cursed by tongue of David and Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and they were transgressing.
5:79  They did not forbid each another from wrong deeds they committed. Evil indeed was what they used to do.
5:80  You see many of them; they make friends with those who disbelieved. Evil indeed is that they themselves have sent forth for them. For that reason, they have incurred the Wrath of Allah, and they will abide forever in punishment.
5:81  If they believed in Allah and the prophet (Muhammad), and what has been revealed to him (the Qur’an), they would not have taken disbelievers as friends, but many of them are disobedient (to Allah).
5:82  Surely, you will find most hostile among people in enmity to those who have believed (Muslims) are the Jews, and those who set partners with Allah. Surely you will find nearest of them in love to those who have believed (Muslims) are those who say: “We are Christians.” That is because amongst them are priests and monks, who don’t take pride.
5:83  When they (monks and priests) hear what has been sent down to the Messenger (Muhammad), you see their eyes overflow with tears because they have recognized the truth. They say: “Our Lord! We believe; so write us down with the witnesses.
5:84  Why should we not believe in Allah and in that which has come to us of the truth? We wish that our Lord will admit us (in Paradise) with the righteous people.”
5:85  So Allah rewarded them for what they said with gardens under them the flowing rivers (in Paradise), they will abide forever in it. Such is the reward of righteous people.
5:86  But those who disbelieved and denied Our Verses, they shall be the inmates of the fire.
5:87  O you who believe! Don’t make good things unlawful what Allah has made lawful to you, and you don’t transgress. Surely, Allah does not like the transgressors.
5:88  And eat of what sustenance provided to you by Allah, lawful and good things. You fear Allah, in Whom you believe.
5:89  Allah will not call you to account for unintentional things in your oaths. But He will call you to account for earnestly sworn in oaths. The penalty (for a broken oath) is feeding 10 needy people of average of what you feed your families; or clothing them; or freeing a captive. But whoever can not afford, then fasting for 3 days. That is expiation of your oaths when you have sworn. But keep your oaths. Thus Allah makes clear to you His Verses so that you may give thanks.
5:90  O you who believe! Only intoxicants and game of chance (gambling) and sacrifices at altars (tribute to idols) and dividing arrows (lottery) are an abomination of handiworks of Satan. So avoid them so that you may attain success.
5:91  Satan only wants to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from the prayer. So, will you be of those who abstain?
5:92  And obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad), and be aware. But if you turn away, then you should know that it is the duty only upon our Messenger to convey clearly.
5:93  Those who believe and do righteous deeds, there is no sin for what they ate (in the past), if they fear Allah, believe, and do righteous deeds, then again they fear Allah and believe, and then (once again) they fear Allah and do good deeds (with perfection). Allah loves the righteous people.
5:94  O you who believe! Allah will surely try you with something of the game which can be taken by your hands and your lances, so that Allah knows who fears Him unseen. Then whoever transgresses after that, there is a painful punishment.
5:95  O you who believe! You don’t kill game when you are in a state of Ihram (for Pilgrimage). Whoever of you kills it intentionally, then penalty is like what was killed of cattle judged by 2 just men among you, an offering brought to the Ka’bah; or for expiation, feeding of needy or to that equivalent fasting so as to taste and grieve (punishment) of the deed. Allah has pardoned what is passed. But whoever repeats it, Allah will take retribution on him. Allah is All-Mighty, Lord of retribution.
5:96  Lawful to you is game of water and its eating as provision for you and for travelers, but is forbidden to you hunting on land while you are in (a state of Ihram). And fear Allah to Whom you shall be gathered.
5:97  Allah has made the Ka’bah, the Sacred House, an establishment for mankind, and the sacred month, animals of offerings, and their collars (garlanded). All this is so that you may know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and that Allah knows everything.
5:98  Know that Allah is severe in punishment and that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
5:99  It is not on the Messenger but to convey (the message). And Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.
5:100  Say (O Muhammad): “Are not equal bad thing and good thing, even though abundance of bad things may fascinate you.” So fear Allah, O people of understanding so that you may succeed.
5:101  O you who believe! You don’t ask (questions) about things if they are made clear to you, they may trouble you. If you ask (questions) about these when the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be made clear to you. Allah has forgiven that and Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.
5:102  Indeed, people asked such questions before you, then on that account they became disbelievers.
5:103  Allah has not instituted things like Bahira (a she-camel whose milk was spared for idols and nobody was allowed to milk it), or Saibah (a she-camel let loose for grazing for idols, and nothing was allowed to be carried on it), or a Wasilah (a she-camel set free for idols as it gave birth to a she-camel at its first delivery and then again at its second delivery) or Ham (a stallion camel freed from work for idols after it had finished a number of copulations assigned to it) (all these animals were liberated in honor of idols as practiced by pagan Arabs). But those who disbelieve invent a lie against Allah, but most of them don’t understand.
5:104  And when it is said to them: “Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger (Muhammad),” they say: “Sufficient for us what we found upon our forefathers,” even though their forefathers did not know anything nor they had guidance.
5:105  O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. Whoever goes astray will not harm you when you are guided. To Allah all of you return, and then He will inform you of what you used to do.
5:106  O you who believe! Take witness between you when any of you approaches the death while making a will with 2 just men among you, or 2 others from among other than you if you are traveling through the land and calamity of the death befalls you. You detain them both after the prayer, they swear by Allah if you doubt them saying: “We will not sell it for a price even if he is a near relative. We shall not conceal the Testimony of Allah, then indeed we will be among the sinners.”
5:107  Then if it is discovered that the 2 are guilty of sin, let 2 others stand forth in their places, nearest in kin from among those who claim a lawful right. Let the 2 swear by Allah saying: “Our testimony is truer than testimony of the other 2, and we have not transgressed, then indeed we will be among the wrongdoers.”
5:108  That is closer that they give evidence in its true nature or they fear that their oaths will be disproved after others’ oaths. So fear Allah and listen. And Allah does not guide those who are disobedient transgressors.
5:109  On the Day when Allah will gather the Messengers and will say: “What answer you were given?” They will say: “We have no knowledge, surely, only You (Allah) are All-Knower of hidden things.”
5:110  (Remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): “O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My Favor to you and to your mother when I strengthened you with spirit of the holy (Gabriel), you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you the book and the wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you made from clay like the figure of a bird by My permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My permission, you healed the born-blind, and the lepers by My permission, when you raised the dead by My permission, when I restrained children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear proofs; and those who disbelieved among them said: This is nothing but clear magic.”
5:111  When I (Allah) revealed to the disciples (of Jesus) to believe in Me and My Messenger, they said: “We believe and bear witness that we are Muslims.”
5:112  (Remember) when the disciples said: “O Jesus, son of Mary! Does your Lord has power to send down to us table spread with food from the heaven?” Jesus said: “Fear Allah, if you are believers.”
5:113  They said: “We wish that we eat of it, our hearts be satisfied, we know that you have indeed told us the truth, and we be witnesses on that.”
5:114  Jesus, son of Mary, said: “O Allah, our Lord! Send down upon us a table from the heaven which will be a festival for us - for first and the last of us and a sign from You; and provide us sustenance, and You are best of sustainers.”
5:115  Allah said: “Surely I will send it down to you, but whoever disbelieves after that among you, then I will punish with a punishment such that I have not punished (like that) anyone of the worlds.”
5:116  And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say to people: ‘Take me and my mother as 2 who are worthy of worship besides Allah?”’ Jesus will say: “Glory is to You! It was not for me that I say what I had no right to say. Had I said it, then surely You would have known it. You know what is in my soul and I don’t know what is in Your; truly, You know all of the hidden things.
5:117  I did not say to them except what You commanded me of it that (say): ‘You worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. I was over them a witness till I remained among them, but when You recalled me, You were the watcher over them, and You are a witness over everything.
5:118  If You punish them, surely they are Your servants, and if You forgive them, surely You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”’
5:119  Allah will say: “This is the Day the truthful will profit their truthfulness: for them are gardens with the rivers flowing under them (in Paradise) - they shall abide in it forever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. That is the great success.”
5:120  To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, what is in them, and He has power over everything.
