30:1  Alif-Lam-Meem.
30:2  The Romans (Christians) have been defeated (by the Persians - idol worshippers
30:3  in the nearest land (of Syria), but after their defeat, they (Allah revealed to Muhammad that Romans) will be victoriou
30:4  within a few years. Allah is in command with the matter before (the defeat of the Romans by Persians in 615 CE) and after (the defeat of Persians by Romans in 625 CE). On that day, the believers will rejoice (for victory
30:5  with the help of Allah. He helps whom He wills, and He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
30:6  (It is) the Promise of Allah and Allah does not fail in His Promise, but most people don’t know.
30:7  They only know the outside appearance of the life of the world, and they are heedless of the Hereafter.
30:8  Don’t they think in their own minds that Allah has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them with truth and for an appointed term? Indeed many of mankind denies the meeting with their Lord (on the Day of Resurrection).
30:9  Don’t they travel in the land and see how the end of those before them was? They were superior to them in strength, they tilled the earth and populated it in greater numbers than what these (pagans) have populated, and there came to them their Messengers with clear signs. Surely, Allah did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
30:10  Then evil was the end of those who did evil because they denied the Verses of Allah and made a mockery of them.
30:11  Allah (alone) originates the creation, then He repeats it, then to Him you will be returned.
30:12  And on the Day when the Hour (of Judgment) will be established, the criminals will be plunged into destruction with deep regret.
30:13  No intercessor they will have from their partners (whom they made equal with Allah) and they (themselves) will reject their partners.
30:14  And on the Day when the Hour (of Judgment) will be established, people will be separated that Day (believers will be separated from the disbelievers).
30:15  Then as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, they shall be honored and made to enjoy luxurious life forever in a garden of delight (Paradise).
30:16  As for those who disbelieved, denied Our Verses, and the meeting of the Hereafter, they will be brought forth for punishment (of hell fire).
30:17  So glorify Allah when you come up to the evening and when you enter the morning.
30:18  And all praises and thanks are to Him in the heavens and the earth, so glorify Him in the afternoon and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline
30:19  Allah brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death. And thus you shall be brought out (resurrected).
30:20  And among His signs, one is that He created you from dust, then behold you are human beings scattered (in the world)!
30:21  And among His signs, another one is that He created for you wives from among yourselves so that you may find comfort with them and He has put affection and mercy between you. Surely, there are signs for a people who think.
30:22  And among His signs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colors. Surely, there are signs for people of sound knowledge.
30:23  And among His signs is the sleep (you take) by night and your seeking of His Bounty by day. Surely, there are signs for a people who listen.
30:24  And among His signs is that He shows you the lightning by way of fear and hope, He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and with it revives (gives life) the earth after its death. Surely, there are signs for a people who understand.
30:25  And among His signs are that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command, then when He will call you by single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (from your graves for reckoning).
30:26  To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient to Him.
30:27  And it is He Who originates the creation, then repeats it, and this is easy for Him. To Him belongs the highest example in the heavens and in the earth. And He is the Mighty, the Wise.
30:28  He sets forth an example for you from your own lives. Do you let those whom your right hands possess (your captives) be as partners in (to share your wealth equally) what We have bestowed on you? Then do you fear them in it (possession) as you fear each other? Thus We explain the Verses in details to a people who have sense.
30:29  Nay, but those who do wrong follow their own lusts without knowledge. Then who will guide them whom Allah has sent astray? They will have no helpers.
30:30  So set (O Muhammad) your face towards the religion being upright nature of Allah with which He has created mankind, there is no change in the creation (of laws) of Allah. That is the right religion, but most of mankind don’t know.
30:31  Turn (in repentance) to Him, fear Him, establish the prayer, and don’t be of the polytheists,
30:32  those who split up their religion and become sects, each party rejoicing in its own circle.
30:33  And when a harm touches people, they cry to their Lord, turning to Him in repentance. But when He gives them a taste of His Mercy, behold! a party of them associate (partners in worship) with their Lord
30:34  be ungrateful for what We have bestowed on them. Then enjoy (your short life); soon you will come to know.
30:35  Or have We revealed to them a Scripture, which speaks of that which they have been associating with Him?
30:36  And when We cause mankind to taste of Mercy, they rejoice in it, but when an evil afflicts them because of (evil deeds) what their hands have sent forth, then they are in despair!
30:37  Don’t they see that Allah enlarges the provision for whom He wills and straitens (for whom He wills). Surely, there are signs for a people who believe.
30:38  (O believers) give what is due to your relative, the poor, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek the pleasure of Allah and it is they who will be successful.
30:39  And that interest which you give in order that it may increase in wealth of other people, does not increase with Allah; but that which you give as obligatory charity seeking the pleasure of Allah, shall have manifold increase.
30:40  It is Allah Who has created you, then provides (sustenance) for you, then will cause you to die, then He will give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Is there any of your partners (of Allah) who can do any of these things? Glory be to Him! Exalted is He above all that evil they associate (with Him).
30:41  Evil (sins and disobedience of Allah) has appeared in the land and the sea because of what the hands of people (have earned). He may make them taste a part of that which they have done in order that they may return (from evil).
30:42  Say (O Muhammad): “Travel in the land and see how was the end of those before you! Most of them were polytheists.”
30:43  So you (O Muhammad) set your face to the right religion before there comes a Day from Allah which none can avert it. On that Day they (people) shall be divided (in 2 groups - a group in Paradise and a group in hell).
30:44  Those who disbelieved will suffer from their disbelief, and those who have done righteous deeds will prepare a good place (in Paradise) for themselves,
30:45  so that He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds, out of His Bounty. Surely, He does not like the disbelievers.
30:46  And among His Signs is that He sends the winds as glad tidings, give you a taste of His Mercy, the ships may sail at His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, in order that you may be thankful.
30:47  And indeed We did send Messengers before you (O Muhammad) to their own people. They came to them with clear proofs. Then We took revenge on those who committed crimes and it was incumbent upon Us to help the believers.
30:48  It is Allah Who sends the winds to raise the clouds, then spreads them in the sky as He wills, then breaks them into fragments, until you see (rain) drops come forth from their midst! And when He makes them fall with it on whom He wills of His servants, lo! They rejoice,
30:49  surely before that (rain) is sent down upon them, they were in despair.
30:50  Look at the effects of Mercy of Allah, how He revives (gives life) the earth after its death. Surely! That is He who will raise the dead (on the Day of Resurrection), and He is Able (has power) on every thing.
30:51  And if We send a wind and they see (their crops) turn yellow, behold, then they disbelieve (more) after it.
30:52  So surely you (O Muhammad) can neither make the dead to hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they (disbelievers) turn their backs and turn away,
30:53  nor you can guide the blind from their straying. None will hear you except those who believe in Our Signs and submit to Allah in Islam (as Muslims).
30:54  It is Allah Who has created you in weakness (as a baby), then gave you strength after weakness (in youth), then gave after strength weakness and grey hair (in old age). He creates what He wills. And He is All-Knower, the All-Mighty.
30:55  On the Day when the Hour (of Judgment) will be established, the criminals will swear that they did not stay (in the world) but an Hour, thus they are ever deluded (away from truth).
30:56  And those who are bestowed with knowledge and faith will say: “Indeed you have stayed in the decree of Allah, until the Day of Resurrection, so this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not know.”
30:57  So on that Day, no excuse of theirs will benefit those who did wrong nor will they be allowed to return to seek Allah’s pleasure
30:58  Indeed We have set forth every example for mankind in this Qur’an. But if you (O Muhammad) bring any sign to them, those who disbelieve will say (to the believers): “Surely you are nothing but preaching falsehood.”
30:59  Thus Allah has set a seal on the hearts of those who don’t know.
30:60  So be patient (O Muhammad). Surely, the Promise of Allah is true, and let not those who have no certainty of faith discourage you (from conveying Allah’s message)
