AYAH al-Anfal 8:57

Arabic فَإِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِم مَّنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ zoom
Transliteration Fa-imma tathqafannahum fee alharbi fasharrid bihim man khalfahum laAAallahum yaththakkaroona zoom
Literal

  So if you gain dominance over them in the war, disperse by them (those) who (are) behind them, so that they may take heed. zoom


Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad if thou find them at war [with you], make of them a fearsome example for those who follow them, so that they might take it to heart; zoom
