Adhan means to call for prayer Generally when the time for salaah (obligatory prescribed prayer) comes in , a man (mu-adh-dhin), in a Mosque (masjid) call out adhan to announce (invite for prayer) The Adhan is a sunnah act for the five time daily obligatory (congrigaton) prayers. One of the correct method is to stand up facing Qiblah inserting both index fingers into both ears and call out aloud these prescribed words in Arabic. The calling Adhan in any other language is not permissible and must be call out by a male adult.

Come to success (2 times, turning the head to the left both times)
